Customer rep was like dealing with a rock. Show a little emotion and seem a bit happy that a customer walked through the door. I was told I had to fill the truck up to 3/4 to return it, but it only came with 5/8 tank of gas. I really got charged $20 for an after hours return? How did that even add to the work your staff had to do? The truck was damaged when I picked it up; you would think that would be noted on some documentation prior to me inspecting it. Positives: you have a nice new building.

Manager has no awareness on how to treat customers. Very unprofessional establishment
CORY OGreat service and clean, new facility. Storage units are very nice and the elevators are extremely helpful, as is the free use of moving carts. The badge in and out function probably serves some important purpose but I’m not sure what it is as I was able to get into my unit without it, so I’m not sure of the disable/enable. Plus you have to be certain to badge out at the end of your time or it won’t work the next time, so not convinced of this feature yet. Staff were excellent. The only negative I had was reserving two dozen furniture pads with a UHaul truck rental and on the day of the rental being told they did not have them as they all went out the day before. They did not have a backup plan and instead suggested I buy the blankets from them (rather than them purchasing their own product to fulfill the reservation.) We were able to get some, but not enough and had to find other blankets for the move. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review.
Larry HWe had to unlock the keys out of a lockbox that was NOT use friendly at all! My husband is 6 feet tall and could reach it but a shorter person like me would have trouble. Why can’t the person at the desk hand the customer the key? Desk person didn’t know where the trick was parked. We had to find it on our own. It used to be someone would bring it to the front and look it over with you . All in all I’d give it an 8 out of 10 rating.
KEN AWhen I got there, they informed us the appliance dolly that I reserved ahead of time was not available. A little heads up would be nice. So I spent $200 to buy a brand new one at Home Depot because no one else had one to rent. Your employee also told us to go to a different rental place to find one. I got in the truck took a picture of the gas gauge and odometer and realize it was over 300s of miles off and the gas tank was over a half tank off. So back in the store so she could fix the paperwork, otherwise it would’ve cost me like $400 more. The guy at drop off was pretty nice and helpful.
Todd KAll went well.
Don JWaited 15 minutes to pick up my trailer, the employee came out finally and looked at me with disgust and reeked of weed. He then proceeded to attempt to overcharge me and then acted even more disgusted after I pointed it out. I then had to go out to the lot myself to grab the trailer and hook it up to then drive back up to the lobby for him to take his quick picture. The return process went smooth but the pick up process was awful. Definitely will stick with the Coon Rapids location from here on.
DOMINIC LEverything was quick and efficient. 1200 miles and no problems.
Curtis AThere are 2 customer entrances, so it was hard to know where to go. Only 1 person working. He was helpful but there was a lot of confusion on where I was supposed to drop off because the original confirmation said Elk River and the email said Ramsey and if I had taken it to the wrong place, there would have been an extra fee.
Leah WRidiculous to charge me a $35 cleaning fee when the truck was spotless, but other than that it was a good experience.
Greg MI had to chase down the only person who could help me in dropping off my car hauler. There was only one person who could do this despite asking a person behind the counter. In fact, this person was a woman who saw me come in and pasted me as I entered the building in search of help. I chased her around a very large parking area. When I reached her she said to drop it with the others. She had just finished loading another customer's tow dolly. She went back in the office and offered no help in unloading. I could not get the unit off my hitch and tracked her back down. I asked if she had any boards because the tongue jack would not go high enough. She could not understand why I would need this. She finally dragged herself out to help me. I told her that this is the first time I had to unload a trailer myself. She says that she does not help people unload. I explained that I am 65 years old and have rented a lot since I was 20 and this is the worst help I have received at a U-Haul. After saying this she attempted to help but had no idea what she was doing. Yes, she was the manager!
Harriet Sit was odd not talking to anyone but I did get through it.
Michele HI think I caught the employee as she was leaving as it looked like she was locking up, but she still helped me out and took back my rental. Above and beyond was very appreciated!
THEODORE FI think more signs posted to access the mobile application on the phone would help people with the quicker return of the equipment.
Mark WThe young lady who assisted me was exemplary in her customer service skills and assisted me with great professionalism. I would highly recommend renting from this location to anyone.
Mark WEverything was fine.
