The service location took almost 3 1/2 hours to complete the installation. The lady wiring was not properly installed and we had to stop on our way to our final destination at another U-Haul to get Support.

The van was in excellent condition. The dropoff was super smooth. The pickup was time-consuming mainly because the app I had to use was not functioning well, so I ended up needing help by one of the employees. I would have given 5 stars if the process was not so dependent on using the app.

The counter service was good. The truck had an obstructed license plate with something hanging over it. The tire inflation sensor light was on. I pointed both of these service items out to the man when I checked in the truck. He didnt seem to care.

The staff was exceptional, very helpful, made the whole rental process easy. Much much better experience than the do-it-yourself rental locations. Will always rent from this location even though it’s farther from me than some others.

I could not be more grateful for the gentleman there going above & beyond to accommodate me when I was late for my pickup. my reservation was for 6:45pm which is right before they close & I had checked in already through the app, but since it was supposed to be during business hours, they hadn't put the key outside to prepare for an after hours pickup. I didn't arrive until around 7:07pm but luckily he was still there assisting other customers. they let me inside even though it was closed and still did what was necessary to get me into the van I rented. I know he didn't have to do that, so I really appreciate it! the return after hours through the app with on site key drop off was super easy too, so I highly recommend this location!

When I picked up the vehicle the person working at the desk gave me no information about the vehicle and was very unhelpful. I had trouble finding the van because she just told me to find it in lane A but nothing was clearly marked and so I was wandering around. I had some other questions and she was just not helpful even though I was literally the only customer there. When I dropped off the van around 7 am I felt very unsafe because there were people loitering all around the parking lot and some of them tried to approach me. I would not use this location again.

GPS directions directed to a u-turn to the exit rather than a left turn to access the entrance coming from Silver Spring.

Pickup time took longer than expected. I tried using the mobile app but wasn't responding well. Had to wait on a longer line in the store to pickup. Customer service representative was friendly and helpful in the store, no issues there. But you could use more check in people or a faster process.

$19.95/day truck rental turned into almost $200 for two days due to mileage - is false advertisement. I had to pay $127 in miles... This is just wrong.

Price per mile is way too high. There are more affordable options nearby that I will use next time. Also, the dash kept saying that the airbag needed maintenance, so didn't feel super safe.

The rental experience was good from the Tacoma Park location. The problem is I reserved the U-haul to pick up at a location on 5223 River Road in Bethesda, MD. I was assured by the staff there that they would have a 10-foot truck for me on Saturday. That morning I got a text from U-haul saying I would have to drive to Tacoma Park, MD to pick up the vehicle. This caused a lot of issues with moving due to the time it added to get the truck and return it as well as the extra mileage incurred. The people at 5223 River Road were nice and helpful but said there was nothing they could do about this. I spoke with someone on the phone named Amy from U-Haul and she said she would apply a $50 credit to our account due to this issue but I haven't seen it yet.

The rearview camera was a huge help and upgrade from prior models. I would encourage the staff to clean the truck bed in between rentals. When I used it, it smelled like animals and there was a leftover bone from the previous renters.

I reserved a cargo van and I was notified that it was no longer available as it had a flat tire. Instead, I received a 10 ft. truck that wouldn't accelerate past 50 mph, and still had stickers from an apparent windshield replacement. Please do better!

I do not own a car. Changing the rental location from Bethesda (like around the corner) to Takoma Park meant 8-9 extra miles and 40 minutes each way, for which I had to pay mileage and gas, cherry on top. This meant that I had to rent a car to go rent a truck AND rearrange the schedule. Doing it the day before is a mean, mean way to STEAL from me the time and opportunity that I could have used to check more convenient alternatives with your competition. All this for a truck that was literally falling apart. Never again.

The Good: No waiting. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Vehicle given to me was clean. The Bad: Vehicle that had been reserved was unavailable. Had to take a smaller vehicle. Smaller vehicle did not have room for all that I planned to move. The Uncertain: A warning light was on during my rental: "Tire Pressure Alert. Check/re-calibrate tire pressure monitoring system." (Quotations are approximate.)

We had the last parking spot when we dropped the vehicle. Users should be told to park all the way in so that vehicles that are dropped off at a later time have space. Otherwise, nice manager!

The interior of the trailer smelled like a rotting corpse and the floor was covered in slime. Two UHaul employees observed and confirmed this. I have reached out to management and I am still waiting to hear back from them.

My original reservation was canceled after I called and explained and updated my pickup time, (11:30PM to 4:30PM) soI had to go to a different location to rent a trailer. At first, The trailer I rented was working fine until I got in the road and the lights would not work. I had a 14 hour ride with no trailer lights

The truck didn't have a ramp or a rear view mirror. It was fine and worked but needed some attention. The customer service was great but we rented 2 dollys and they were not available and there was quite a line ... I would go again.

The computers were down causing a massive line in the morning. It seemed to be a reoccurring problem with them. The parking lot was not organized and it was a challenge taking the required photos of the vehicle in the actual parking lot, then difficult to get out. Some of this is the customers not following signage on where to park, but the signage is also not very clear and caused a good deal of confusion.

When I received the truck it had no gas, only 14 miles so I had to make a stop right away to get gas. The people at the front wasn’t friendly when it came to asking questions. And I was charged 40 minutes early due to be reserving my time at 8:30 but not really getting it until 9:20. This just highway robbery.

They called to deliver the unit on a different day than scheduled. They were supposed to deliver between 9:30a-11:30a. They didn’t arrive until 12:30 & Unit wasn’t delivered until 5p. Pickup was late.

My experience is in regards to my overall uBox experience versus just the Takoma Park location. UHaul told me and my moving help that the uBox would be delivered to the Chillum Rd location. Incorrect

Driver, Maurice, was awesome and very polite. One suggestion - you should get trailer hitch locks. Easy to potentially have someone come and hook up the trailer and tow away the entire box!

I rented two uboxes that were stored at my home for two months. Delivery and pick up was great, thanks to Janal. The office staff communication was the worst i have ever encountered!!!

Ubox not delivered to the facility listed in arrival confirmation email, were told it might be lost. Delivery scheduled for 12pm - delivered at 9pm after many calls. Mouse droppings were found.

The UHAUL of TAKOMA PARK at 6889 New Hampshire Ave. is the BEST/ TOP store I have ever visited. Their workers are professional, polite and very helpful. They made my relocation move more pleasant.
