Mirella AI reserved a hand truck/dolly online but when I arrived at the facility the manager said that they were rented on a first come first serve basis. It made my move very inconvenient since I was counting on having a dolly. If I reserved one in advance I was counting on having it. What’s the point of having that as an option when making a reservation?

However, the app at the check in didn't work so I took pictures manually, but I got the receipt before sending my pictures as the mileage was slightly incorrect and the gas tank definitely wrong (that is why it is not a 5 stars-review). Below is the email I sent to receipts at uhaul.com on 7/26/26. If you guys can get back to me that would much appreciated. Best, Hello, As we discussed earlier yesterday and today, the app wasn't working for checking in the van so I took some pictures myself. One UHaul employee said it was ok and the tank was more empty than the 3/8 that was mentioned due to some issues you guys have with people stealing gas... Please see attached the pictures I took from my departure on Saturday 7/25, mileage is at 2289.2 miles with "21 miles to empty left". I returned it on Sunday at 2397.9 miles with "58 miles to empty left". On the receipt attached, the starting mileage is 2286.2, while the gas level from the return seems accurate, the starting level should be lower (the 21 miles left). I also wanted to share with you that, before I even opened the driver door, the fuel door was open (which could have resulted from the fuel door being forced). If you guys could review the quote, that would be great (I don't want to seem picky, just wanted to be fair). Great vehicle and no issue while moving stuff around so that was of a great help :) Best,

Momo YI rented a pick up truck. The truck's exterior was not clean, in fact, two of the wheel wells were filled with mud. Maybe in a couple of years the rental experience will be more like the traditional rent a car companies like Avis or Hertz. The Check-in and Check-out process is 20 years behind with respect to automation.

Yevgeny NThis is my second time renting in a month and both times were a terrible experience. The staff is rude. The location never has equipment that is reserved like furniture dollys or utility dollys. Which is unacceptable when you need them to move things.

He collected the furniture pads right away. And made returning the vehicle a breeze. I felt like he appreciated me as a customer. And that he made the experience special.

PATRICIA BI’m sorry, but my air-conditioning nor the heater nor did sockets for charging the phone worked and two other people tried not just myself but when I brought it up after dropping it off the person I was out there get some manager or something finally comes into the office and tells me if there’s nothing wrong did it all works I’m sorry I don’t know what got changed or whatever but it did not work and it was sweaty hot and the reason why I used U-Haul so that I could use the air-conditioning so what should’ve taken a couple hours end up taking me a day and a half to do and I had to extend the vehicle which was really not pleasing at all. I didn’t expect to have to spend so much so yeah.

JOHN KI have no complaints with the location. My issue is with the scheduling department. No one told me that the pick up location I had reserved a month ago was not guaranteed. It was extremely inconvenient to go to a different location than what I had booked.

Christopher CNot related to the site of pickup: rental online was to be picked up in Scott’s Valley, CA. Got msg night before that it “was updated” to pickup in San Jose. While en route to San Jose, a msg came in which I could not see (driving) saying reservation was again “updated” for pickup in Campbell. I understand ‘things can happen’, I also understand, first hand, that was not a positive experience. The phone assistants and location staff were all stars. The workers were great, the logistical experience felt disappointing. That says to me, that some people up top are being paid way too much. Protect your brand by being impeccable at all costs.
