I picked up a 6x12 enclosed trailer for this reservation. When the worker went to hook it up to my car, they were not prepared for the weight of the trailer so it began to roll forward out of control, luckily it caught a piece of my towhitch otherwise it would have smashed and damaged the back of my car. This chipped of the protecting covering of my brand new, never used, tow hitch which will now begin to rust.

On June 30 at 1pm, I reserved a 20-foot truck to pick up via TruckShare on July 1 at 6am. The reservation was made about six hours before the location closed, leaving plenty of time for the TruckShare pickup to be prepared. When I arrived at 6am, the app instructed me to contact customer service instead of allowing me to retrieve the truck. After waiting on hold for about 20 minutes, I was informed that the pickup location had never completed the TruckShare setup by placing the keys in the lockbox. The customer service representative even commented that the location had sufficient time to prepare the reservation. I then had to wait until the store opened at 7am before I could receive the truck. This delayed my entire moving schedule by an hour costing an additional $150 in moving costs solely due to U-Haul's failure to properly prepare my TruckShare reservation.

Christoph GDolly was not available. I indicated as such, yet I was still charged. The app was finicky when taking the departure photos, where a new page was loaded after each new photo was uploaded. I needed to back out of the new page to view the successfully uploaded pics. Lastly, the in-app chat representative refused to approve the uploaded photo of my driver’s license. She made me retake the same photo over and over then told me to just start all over. A new representative then approved the pic she denied. This was a really frustrating experience overall, but the truck was very clean and in good condition.

ASKARBEK ZI had a very disappointing experience with U-Haul's U-Box service. My four U-Box containers were delivered to my address in Illinois on July 11 and were scheduled to be picked up on July 15 so they could arrive at my destination in Florida no later than July 26. This schedule would have given me enough time to unload my belongings before I flew out of Florida on July 30. The first issue was the lack of communication regarding the pickup. Despite calling multiple times, I could not get a clear answer as to when the containers would actually be picked up. Because I had such a limited time frame in Florida, this uncertainty created unnecessary stress. The containers were eventually picked up on July 14. I was then told that the containers would be available within 10 days, which meant they should have arrived by July 24. However, after making several more phone calls to obtain an update, I was informed that the delivery date had been pushed back to July 29. This left me with virtually no time to unload my belongings before my flight on July 30. By that point, U-Haul had been in possession of my containers for 15 days—five days longer than I had been promised. In addition to the shipping delays, I was only provided with 48 furniture pads for all four containers, even though I should have received 24 pads per container. The pads I did receive were wet, smelled of mold, were dirty, and were not wrapped in plastic as expected. The containers themselves were also not properly prepared for use. None of them had been swept out, and there was no protective paper covering the floors. Finally, I have serious concerns that one of my U-Box containers was tampered with while in U-Haul's possession. The blue plastic security cover on my lock had been broken off, and there were clear cut marks on the lock, indicating that someone had attempted to remove it. There were also cut marks on the container's hinge, suggesting an attempt had been made to gain access to the contents. Fortunately, my belongings appear to be intact, but this is an extremely serious security concern and completely unacceptable. Overall, the lack of communication, failure to meet the promised delivery timeline, poor condition of the equipment, and apparent tampering with one of my containers made this an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience. Based on the service I received, I cannot recommend U-Haul's U-Box service to others.

Robert WOverall personal service is good. The only thing that was inconvenient is when I picked up the fuel tank was almost empty and I had to get gas and return 1/4 of the tank. Didn’t hear anything about refunding. Feel like I was ripped off little bit.
Oybek DI picked up the truck with an empty fuel tank and documented it with photos during the pre-trip inspection in the U-Haul app. I returned the truck with the exact same fuel level. Despite this, U-Haul charged me $73.75 for fuel. How is that possible? What exactly am I being charged for? To make matters worse, the truck that was assigned to me in the U-Haul app was not even available when I arrived. Instead, I was given a completely different truck with different license plates and an empty fuel tank. I have photo evidence showing the fuel level at both pickup and return, yet I was still charged. This is unacceptable and feels extremely unfair. I will never rent from U-Haul again and will not recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointing experience and terrible customer service.
Nursultan KRear tire had slow leak from the start. Had to fill it 4 times. Truck stalled 2 times. They put 1/4 gas but it was less then that. 140.00 for this. Other locations are way better.

Mark NNo one told me about another additional fees. I was told the cargo van was 20$ to rent for FOUR! Hours. I got the insurance for 30$. So you would think after taxes it's the total of 60$. Also not to mention i was moving local about 20miles all together. I was charged a total of a whooping 120$ all together. If you were more upfront with the charges I wouldn't I have cared. But to be surprised with all these hidden fees. Never again.

I had to wait way too long, though, while another man spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with someone asking questions about a trailer hitch. That phone customer was a potential customer and should have been put on hold so he could attend to customers waiting in line, in the store, like me.
Michael MDouble check the trucks before lending them out. I was rented a vehicle with a blown out headlight , I could have gotten pulled over and a ticket for the blown head light. After reading the agreement I was only rented the truck for an hour and 20 minutes.

Courteous, very patient especially assisting me as I backed up the trailer. You should fire the other guy, he was a total asshole.

I noticed later that I was double charged and my pickup location informed me that the truck had never been checked in.

But today they charged me $23 for the gas. Probably they have used the truck and took the money from my account. This is a robbery

JETHIN VThis was a total train wreck! Called ACE hardware in Des Plaines to reserve the truck, they said I had to reserve on line at U-Haul.com. Made the reservation, got the confirmation with a note at the top saying someone would call before 5:00 P.M. the day before my pickup date to confirm. Never got a call. Went to ACE to pickup the truck as planned and confirmed, they didn't have any knowledge of me or my reservation. They said they couldn't even lookup the reservation number from their system. The only help ACE provided was to tell me to try the corporate shop in Des Plaines, they didn't bother to call there on my behalf to see if trucks were even available. Spent more time getting the reservation transfered and finally got a very worn out truck with 149000 miles on it, and a drivers door that occasionally opened of it's own accord, and sounded like a popcorn popper when accelerating. Since we were already over an hour behind schedule I decided to just suck it up and accept the old beater. Needless to say I am not a happy human, and Ryder is now my Truck Rental of choice.

Went above and beyond with the trailer rental process I have rented things at this location over the years, but this young gentleman is a true gem and someone that I would love to do business with on a regular basis.
