First of all, we were diverted to Oakland from Pleasanton location. We missed the text notification of this, so went to Pleasanton Sunol location and the manager was EXTREMELY rude and demeaning. Went WAY out of our way to pick up trailer in Oakland. Very sketchy area and the trailer was damaged and FILTHY.

I accidentally left a garage opener on the windshield visor and the staff said it was not found. I know it was there because I used it to get out of my driveway. When I called about it staff said the truck was out and there was nothing they could do. this happened on 08/30/26.

The amazing, friendly and knowlegable employee who helped get set up, hooked up and out the door was the best part of this whole process(Nadia? maybe differen't name? idk, but there was Stevie and Al Green bumpin the whole time she was setting me up). She was amazing. Got the trailer hooked up, clickety clacked the keyboard in all the right ways, and had me out the door with no questions and a great vibe. You should give her a raise.

There was an issue with the employee switching out the van from the original contract. Upon return, the manager said they would need time to sort it out, and he would call back before charging my card. He did not call, and I got charged for 2x days, when I should have been charged for 1.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! DO NOT USE UHAUL!!! The contract said I could drive 30 miles and everything over that would be charged. I had a picture of the odometer that read 38808 miles and when I turned it in it said 38837.2 and the guy says its going to be $60 FOR GAS. I even pointed it out to him and he goes, "oh yeah, it's under 30 miles. Uhaul just overcharges." What in the actual hell?!?! It only looks cheaper than other rental companies because THEY DON'T HONOR THE CONTRACT!

I had a reservation for pickup in san leandro and it got changed to a Oakland uhaul that didn't have a 15 ft to go one way. Finally end up at uhaul on international and my reservation for was taken care of but had to move to a 20 ft. To say I was irritated is a understatement. Your company caused undue stress.

They asked me to take a picture of the mileage and the gas was halfway gone the truck was really dirty I couldn't see out the side mirrors at all I really did not feel safe but I didn't have to go that far

I did not select this location for pickup. My reservation was changed on me so I had no choice. The employees had to take numerous attempts at registering me due to poor internet. When I went to my truck a random person was at the drivers side door to to interrogate me about hiring his help.

POSITIVE COMMENT - I want to commend Jesus - HE IS AN OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE - compassionate, caring, professional, good sense of humor, great at his job. He was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL multiple times from my reservation, to my pickup, to my drop off. He absolutely made renting from UHaul effortless, seamless and a total joy. THANK YOU JESUS!!!! I wish every customer service person I deal with in my personal and business lives were as talented as you.

Vary professional staff and the lot is very clean. I rent from this location even though it is not the closest Uhaul location to me.

I specifically reserved equipment at a particular location, only for them to tell me the day before I had to go to an alternative location. It took significantly more time to get to the new location to pick up the equipment and to also go back to drop it off. Additionally, you have to pay for mileage and gas; thus the change of location resulted in charges I was not expecting to pay upon my original booking. If the equipment was not available at the location I reserved at, it should not be an option to order in the first place.

My original location changed last minute I had to drive 10 miles further to pickup trailer. The cost seemed to go up $15 more than original Quote

I had been bounced around because of internal issues with the U-Haul network, I had made my reservation to be at a different location, but my reservation got changed because the system didn't recognize my request, it caused me to miss critical work having to go to a different location at a different time and cost me lots more gas money. The system is not worth the effort and U-Haul wouldn't make good on my issue by delivering the trailer to my originally scheduled pickup.

I was able to get the trailer I reserved fairly quickly. The associate who assisted me moved through the necessary paperwork quickly and went to hook up my 5x8 trailer. He directed me out of the facility, and I was on my way within 20 minutes.

I have rented numerous times from other UHAUL location and I didn't appreciate the additional verification needed at this location. When asked about it, I was met with strong and abrupt, "This is Oakland! If you come back and rent from us tomorrow, we will still do the same verification process". This response did not give me the feeling of wanting to come back.
