Thibault PIt was extremely busy but all the staff were professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I’ve rented uhauls in 4 states, half a dozen times. This was the single best experience I had at a U-Haul facility despite the crowds. I would recommend to anyone in the Boston area.

Jay MHave me a uhaul with flat tire and couldn’t use then closed their office 3 minutes after I picked it up. I had to wait for two hours for a tow truck in the heat of a parking lot pregnant and unable to drive because I was in a bad part of town and if I unhitched the trailer I risked it being stolen.

He had such a great attitude and was quick and competent in everything. You could tell he cared about the customer's experience and providing good value, which feels extremely rare these days. Stephen CTyler provided excellent customer service with an eye for quick and painless access to the equipment reserved. This location is also in an ideal location for folks in Boston and Brookline to access U-Haul equipment by foot or by bus. Highly recommended! Only downside (NOT U-Haul's fault!) is that the nearest gas station's prices are nearly US$1 higher than the rest of the area. Do please keep in mind for refueling for return; your wallets will thank you.

Jerry LFranklin was there moving equipment from before the store was opened, and I was amazed to see how much he was doing while he was all alone. He helped me with my rental proficiently and kindly, and also juggled several other customers at the same time. It seems he was doing the work of three people, and he should get 3 times wages, in my opinion.

Joy TApparently the manager of this location has made up their own rules as far as insurance. I reserved a van online and when I arrived at the location (apparently for vans exclusively) the management there won’t let you forgo the $25 insurance without an insurance policy number. Luckily I found it in an email on my phone and gave it to the guy at the desk. This was infuriating and is a scam to get $25 for nothing.
Aaron WThe tachometer isn't moving, and I can't tell if the fuel level is the same as when it was handed over to me—I put $22 worth of gas in it. 😒😒 I felt ripped off.
Alba PI was super impressed with how wonderful the staff was on a very busy Saturday morning. Franklin was the most efficient, kind and competent. He was energetic and running three lines of customers (with various snafus, no less) without breaking a sweat AND he was super pleasant.
Susan WHeadlights did not work!! We only found that out once we were on a busy highway at nightfall. Roadside assistance attempted to help but couldn’t. He confirmed we were doing what we were supposed to to get them on, but no one could come to take a look at the vehicle until 4 or 5 the next morning.

Eve HElias helped me at the counter. He was the only person working a very busy desk on a weekend morning with a long line of customers waiting. Just after 10am try systems slowed to a halt & he was forced to use his phone to finish helping customers. Elias performed well for U-haul while having no support from technology or other staff & had a great attitude the whole time.

Michael SWhen setting up for mobile pick up the receiving, U-Haul needs to be responsible for facilitating the mobile pick up. You should not be able to book a time earlier than the opening of the U-Haul location if they are not going to facilitate no contact 24 seven pick up as ordered.
Matthew VThese guys were way better than the last location I rented from and dropped off at. I was not charged another day for being 45 minutes late. In fact, the originating location gave me an entire extra day to turn in the trailer. Both locations should be commended.

ALANNA UI’ve lived in Boston for 12 years and have rented from nearly every U-Haul. This Brookline location was by far the easiest, friendliest, and fastest service thank you so much! Special shout out to Eli who accommodated me on one of the busiest moving days of the year.
Stephanie MWhen I returned the vehicle on Tuesday May 26, there was a sign telling return vehicle drivers to pull up and wait in the truck for an attendant. I sat and waited for 5 minutes, and even honked lightly when no one came out. After a long wait, I went inside and found the attendant working on his computer. He initially told me to wait until he finished an email, but then realized he needed to help me check out, and he told me that the invoice would be emailed. I was expecting him to inspect the vehicle, look at the gas level, and check if the blankets were all accounted for, but he told me I could leave and he would email the receipt to me. I was slightly annoyed that he was so slow to look up and check out the truck, since I had a friend follow me in a separate vehicle to drive me home. So he was holding up two people, while he finished his other business.
