Edwin RTruck replacement windshield on the truck was not installed properly. There was tape around the top of the windshield and roof of the truck. There was pieces of glass in tray compartment and on the floor of the truck. Windshield started shaking at the speed of 50 miles per hour. I had to stop at the ext 8 on the NJ turnpike to be tow to a location where I had to wait 3-4 hours to be towed to a another Uhaul vendor. My trip was delay and I had to spend the night in a hotel.
DAPHNE BTook to long for the reservation. Everything I had done online had to be redone at the store. Attendant said none of the online info is transferable at the store and he had to enter it on his computer. Make the app work better!

TELISA AEven self pick up was booked online, it was not possible at the location. Tools booked were not available at the location. Pick up was scheduled at 9 but possible 9.45 with waiting outside of the office due to the site rules. We dropped the car same day 3.55pm and it was registered as next day 8.00am. While the car was ok, the rest of experience leaves lots of room for improvement.

TERRY AI had a pretty disappointing experience at this location. From the start the employee at the counter was unfriendly and didn’t even bother with a greeting. The posted hours are also wrong — both on Google and the U-Haul app it says they close at 6, but I was told 5 instead. When I mentioned it, the response was just a shrug, like it didn’t matter. Dropping off the keys wasn’t any better, I was just waved off and told to leave them on the table. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with rude service. Definitely not the customer experience I expected. Please train your employees to do better.

MICHAEL CDisappointed with Bayonne Truck Rental Experience I rented a truck from the Bayonne location and unfortunately had a frustrating experience. I wish the website had communicated more clearly in advance about key details that would have impacted my decision: 1. The site indicated I could drop off the truck at a different location, but I was told this was not allowed when I picked it up. 2. I was informed that I couldn’t return the truck after a certain time in the designated lot across the street and instead had to find street parking on Broadway—for a massive truck. I was told I’d be fully responsible for any damage or issues overnight, which added unnecessary stress. 3. I was warned I’d be charged for a quarter tank of gas if the fuel wasn’t at a specific level upon return, even if it was only slightly below the line. To top it off, the woman at the front desk was extremely unfriendly and had a negative demeanor, I said hello 3 times with no response. I was told I did not have to rent from them, which is true, but I had already hired helpers and had a scheduled pick-up time for the items I was loading, she made the whole experience feel even more unpleasant. I won’t be renting from this location again and an update on the how the different policies are handled and communicated for this location could help with the transparency and the customer service experience.
