This location was the best I have experienced in using many U-Haul locations throughout the country. The people were friendly and extremely helpful. They were also very accommodating when problems came up. Everything went wrong on this last trip. I had to change trucks at the last minute and adjust my entire order. Michael and the others were very kind and more than willing to accommodate my changes. I have physical limitations, and they stepped in and helped me without making me feel like I was inconveniencing them. Great place! Thank you.

After being turned away from the U-Haul on Clark (even with having a reservation), this location on E. 55th was super helpful and accommodating. Made everything really easy. Great team on E. 55th. The one on Clark is severely lacking.

The first truck i picked up was infested with roaches baby roaches all kinds of roaches i even have the video in my phone they where coming from all the crevices and corners it was ridiculous had to deive back up to get another truck

While it was great to find a rental last minute and the customer service was great, the truck had issues. The inside of the drivers side was sl loose that it had to be slammed to ensure it was shut. The lift to lock the back had to be pulled up and down as if it was being slammed shut as well. It would have been nice to at least receive a discounted rate for such a product.

I was originally told by the Uhaul in Lakewood Ohio that They had a 10 foot truck for me. Then at the last minute I was told that the truck would be just down the road. The truth was that I had to drive into inter city Cleveland 11 miles away to get the truck. I thought this was deceiving. The Cleveland site I went to was helpful I just should not have to drive that far when I ordered it from a site 1 mile down the road.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with U-Haul. During my rental, I discovered roaches inside the vehicle, which was completely unacceptable and unsanitary. I should not have to worry about pests being inside a rental vehicle, especially after paying for a service that is expected to be clean, safe, and properly maintained. This situation was very concerning and made my rental experience extremely uncomfortable. I expect U-Haul to take this matter seriously, inspect and properly sanitize the vehicle, and provide an appropriate resolution for the inconvenience. Please have someone contact me regarding this complaint and let me know what steps will be taken to address the issue.

An ant hive in the Van. Ants all on my furniture. Bites on myself and movers. The WORST experience in moving, and I moved 3 x since 2020. Terrible!!!!!!

The rep at Chester Ave. was very helpful correcting my reservation and getting me into the truck I needed a day earlier. Front end seemed like it needed an alignment or tires rebalanced. Everything else was good.

This location was kind of all over the place… The one young man working behind the counter was using profanity when talking to his coworker regarding another customer while the customer was standing right there. When I returned the truck I was just waiting without being told what I was even waiting for. I eventually asked the same worker that I just mentioned what else needs to be done to complete the return and he responds saying he waved at my nephew that was there with me indicating the receipt was laying on the counter. I asked him how was a wave supposed to inform us that we were done. He should seek employment elsewhere or needs more training.

I mistakenly arrived and drove in the wrong driveway (no signs, nothing painted on the roadway either). An older man who was working under a trucks hood came walking over YELLING and waving his arms around. Yelling at me "Why you come this way? This is not where you're supposed to be!" And on and on. So much so that I did in fact raise my voice and yelled back, "Dude I didn't know! There were no signs!" He continued to yell and gesture where I should drive and how to properly enter the facility. I get it, wrong way, but this guy was AWFUL. The young men inside were nice, helped me greatly, and got me set up. If it wasn't for them, I would give this a zero. Awful experience.

The right mirror of the truck was loose and kept on moving which prevented a serious safety risk. I could not see the right side.

When I used the wipers on the road I noticed on the passenger side it was falling apart. I had to stop and use a paper clip to attach it. Signs on the inside say to bring back swept out and yet I had to do it before I started to load my stuff. The one worker had a mouth full of food when talking to me and I could barely understand what he was saying. Had to wait at the front desk for 10 minutes before anyone would ring me out. Yes... The guy with the breakfast in his mouth didn't get anyone to help me.

The fuel was marked incorrectly. Luckily, I took a picture of the fuel gauge when I picked up the rental. When I returned it, I was charged a gas fee to refill the tank however, I actually filled it up more than I got it. So I had to open a case and I still have not seen the money returned officially which is ridiculous, it’s been five days and I reported it immediately

Used this location as a drop off for a one way trip and the staff made the process effortless. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

They only had one person working in the store when I arrived. I had to wait at least 5 minutes to be helped. They didn’t have a proper working truck so they had to find one. The first one they gave me, the gear shift wasn’t working properly. Then they finally found a truck to give me and it was dirty. Smelled like cigarettes and the equipment I rented wasn’t already in the truck so they had to go find them. Then they didn’t have ample parking for personal cars so we had to find a spot to park my car. The parking lot was congested with personal cars and trucks, and multiple customers were confused and needed help. It took me an HOUR to finally get on the road to my destination which caused me to run late the rest of the day. Overall, this location was awful— very unprofessional and unorganized. I would never return. However, the African American gentlemen with the long locs helped me the best way he could given the circumstances.

U-Haul was dirty when I picked it up, I let the guy know it was dirty he said would I like to clean it right quick! Not him but me, wow U-Haul I used was all crashed up on one side and it needs a wheel alignment. Asked worker if he could put the dolly’s on the truck for me and his response was I’m not a gentleman

My issue is not with the E 55th location as much it is the original location I was told to go to which was 24497 Sprague Road, Columbia Station, OH 44028. I had my reservation in hand and they did not have a U-Haul for me. It took quite some time before I was told to go to the East 55th location. The massive inconvenience pushed back my whole day regarding my move to Chicago. Because of the massive delay in getting a U-Haul, I lost my non-refundable payment to the movers I had coming to load the U-Haul. It was not like I was cutting short on time, I had a lot of time, but because of the delay in getting a U-Haul, my movers had to leave to their next appointment and I had to load the U-Haul myself. I am requesting I get a full refund from U-Haul back on my credit card for this extremely poor experience.

The Miles and gas were incorrect on my receipt. It stated I had over a half of tank and it was less than a quarter of tank. The miles were over 38 on the odometer and if I wouldn't have checked it I would have been over charged for both. The inside was dirty in the cabin and moving compartment
