When filling up the gasoline, the tank indicator didn't move, so I filled more than requiredâ€¦ full.Lahcene B.
Well it hard to return the truck fill with gas to the proper exact level. I took the truck a 3/8 full i had bring it 1/4 which is 1/8 lower and the gentleman told me well we will need to charge you 11$. My suggestion is to bring truck full and take full. This way it's easier for everybody full is full it's easy.David G.

The employees were amazing and tried their best to help us, the issue lies with management and with whoever designed the U-Haul mobile check-in. The website does not work at all for mobile check-in, it was an awful experience. As well, whoever was supposed to check the trucks the night before failed to do so. Save yourself the stress and don't use the mobile check-in. If you do, expect to spend a good 30-40 minutes finishing the whole process before being able to drive away with the truck.Marc L.

First truck we rented, windshield wipers didn't work, they gave us a second truck, which after driving off the lot was flagged by another car because our back door was open and we didn't have any moving blankets in that truck. When we tried to remote return the truck, your website didn't accept my location services was turned on. Tried on a second phone and same problem, so we couldn't officially record the truck was returned, so just left the keyGORDON S.

I made the reservation on-line and it was displayed on the website for the first month qualifying for free, so I applied for self storage. When I arrived at the facility, the staff told me that they do not give a free month and that if I want free I should go to Laval or Lachine and they made me pay for the first month.Claudiu N. | First Impressions

The manager unjustifiably required that the cargo be washed when we returned it. I took picture to show the lack of judgement and reasonability in his demand This caused us to waste time and ressources. When i tried to explained my insatisfaction . Mr Ghassan Akache ,the manager, told me that if i wasn't happy to not come back. I have been doing business with Uhaul at many occasion over the years and i know the service and treatment I received today doesn't reflect your company's core value. I believe this individual need more coaching or training regarding customer's care . I contacted the president of the branch to share my experience with pictures attached. I said it was not clean because of the winter. the second floor access outside was often unsafe and not cleared. I called multiple times because the stairs were covered in snow. It would also have been nice if there was some lighting over the storage units themselves and not solely in the hallways. When I went to drop the trailer,there were 2 clerks. One was busy doing a return while the other was fooling around with his cell phone instead of even asking if he could help me,not even so much as a glance in my direction. I don't recommend self service. At least for me, it was clear and phone can be a hassle. In addition, the extra tools I ordered were not in truck so I had to go inside and talk to someone anyways. This cost me time. In general, I think uHaul should recommend more time or at least mention that 4 hours is good if you have x movers. We were only 4 with someone pregnant and had to use elevator and lost time during pick up and to get come back for blankets so clearly 4 was not enough.Joshua David A.

In the context of COVID, I wished the equipment would be sanitized before and after each use or provide sanitizing wipes to customers. Also, the windshield washer fluid was left empty from the previous customer. It would be nice if the staff would verify the equipment between customers. We only noticed that it was empty after leaving. Other than that, we always have good service from the location.duc thang N.

rented a 15 foot truck, and while in use, I left the emergency lights on for one hour...when I tried to start the vehicle, the battery was dead. After I called them to see if I could get some assistance, the manager told me it was common to burn out the battery if you leave the emergency lights on...that's a lie. Only a battery with low life and poor maintenance would that be the case. A 12 volt battery can last hours with car lights on, not to mention emergency lights. I wasted an additional two hours of my time trying to get a friend/family to boost the truck. Not only did the manager not help at all, he provided no assistance of any kind, blaming me and telling me I should call a mechanic and pay for it myself. On top of all that, when I finally got back there, he blamed me in front of the next customer(who was waiting) for being late! He fully charged me and did not apologize once. Extremely unprofessional, I would avoid at all cost.PATRICK L.

The communication between locations and HQ. My truck wasn't ready at the time I got there for the first place and then I needed to go to two others place to finally got my truck because I couldn't make a one way trip with my truck ate thte first place. Needs faster and more courteous service. It took almost 30 minutes to rent the truck. The u-haul rep was explaining basic things like having a driver's license on me , as if I was a teenager... taking all his time. On return I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up at the counter... and when told that I was waiting for a long time, he said "I know" without apologizing. Staff were rude i was told one client in at a time which is fine of course but then when i am in the next person was allowed to walk in behind me and shop around we did everything on line to have a speedy check in but we had to do it all over again at the counter - staff were rude when i asked why - i was told that s how it is and if i dont like it to leave we have rented u haul three times in the last couple of months the best location service was on the 13 highway have a good daypaul A.

Good points: - Clean vehicle, worked as intended Weak points: - Typical cash grab, the $19.95 rental ended up costing me $124, including $25 charge for "end of rental processing fee" because I didn't use the app to check in the vehicle upon my return (I had 0 idea that this was required, and was never informed, nor was it on any document i signed... i checked). Wrote to the branch, no response. - Gas tank said full, but I don't think this was actually the case. I drove 83kms and needed to fill up 26.32L of fuel lmao. I doubt the van is 3L/100km.... Something fishy about this whole thing. Overall, as a first-time experience using U-Haul for my move, I would not recommend. It's a shame too because I still need to rent vans for at least 3 more weekends to complete the move and this place is conveniently located. But $19.95 advertised to $124 charged is just outrageousMichael R.
