DANTE JU-Haul is good. I have rented their vehicles to do my moves, and it has always been great. Only this time, I was told to go pick up the truck I had booked months in advance, 148km away. I could understand a 40km radius, but that was a long distance, and I was going to drive 500km after that. I ended up taking a smaller truck, which meant I left some of my things behind, and Others broke because of too much pushing on them. I lost more than $500 due to that. That aside, I loved it.

Bryan RMy house was destroyed by the flood of 2024. We managed to salvage important items, we had them stored at U-Haul’s facility. Two years later, the house is repaired and we are safe. We brought our stored items yesterday. In all truth, I expected my clothes, books, and paintings to be moldy, dusty, damaged, or lost. Instead we were overjoyed to retrieve our stored treasures, and to find them all beautifully preserved. No mold. No dust. No damage. Indeed, our home now feels like our home again. Thank you U-Haul.

She didn’t have time to give proper instructions, seemed frustrated at people asking questions because of lack of direction, looked like she needed to be in 3 places at once. She got a bit « «short » at times but seemed like she had had a long day of fielding calls, selling supplies, checking trucks, renting and returning trucks, answering questions all by herself. I only caught a sliver of the day but from what i could see, she was trying her hardest, she needs help at the desk.

Miguel BYou should provide more accurate information regarding starting mileage and fuel level. The starting mileage on my contract states 86534.7 miles but the actual gauge in the truck read 86534.9 miles. Moreover, the U-Haul representative told me that the fuel level was full and the fuel gauge showed the level at "F", but I discovered that the fuel level gauge goes well beyond the "F" mark when I filled the tank prior to returning the truck. I paid for close to $60 for gas refill but only travelled 55.4 miles (88.6 kilometers). There is no way I used $60 of gas travelling 88.6 kilometers. When I brought this to the representative's attention, he simply dismissed my comment and walked away.

Gary HNo walk around on truck reception to review features of truck. For example I couldn't figure out were the controls were for the mirrors only to realize after driving it they were manual and not electric. Getting the truck a quarter full without notice made me need to find a gas station when I was already running tight. Trucks should leave full and return full. This truck was provided a quarter full. I didn't appreciate having to guess how much gas to add on my return to get a quarter full.
Peter TThe truck was dusty and older. Brakes seemed not to work very well, requiring lots of pressure which might be a problem. I indicate the brake issue on my return app.
Christian GI had made reservation over a month ago for a truck, then less than 24 hours before my reservation, I got a call from u-haul saying that they could not give me the truck I reserved. This made me have to change all of my moving plans, even though I had booked over a month ago. Why couldn't they have told me this way sooner so that I may change adjust my plans?
Justin REverything was perfect except the inside. The strip of wood inside were you can tie down your stuff the hole are not big enough to insert your tie down strap. But for the rest is perfect.

Omar BOn avait réservé un camion des semaines à l'avance pour mon déménagement. On nous a appelé la veille au soir pour canceller notre camion. Le représentant au téléphone était extrêmement désagréable, n'a présenté aucune excuse, et répétait qu'il n'y avait juste plus de camion !!! Finalement, j'ai réussi à négocier pour avoir un autre camion d'une autre grandeur, et on a dû aller le chercher à Dollard-Des Ormeaux (ce qui était très loin de chez nous). J'ai fait mon déménagement avec un camion de 10 pieds au lieu de 15 pieds, j'ai dû me départir de certaines affaires. Je ne ferai plus jamais confiance à cette compagnie.

GIOVANNI CThis location was great. The staff was very helpful. My experience with u-haul however has been nothing but difficult. Everyone I spoke too at h-haul has been very polite and helpful, however u-haul policy is absolutely terrible and only considering it's own bottom line. No consideration for it's customers. After making a reservation for a trailer 6 hours from my home and spending 6 hours on the road I was disappointed to find the trailer not in working order leaving me hanging. I spent 300$ in gas and spend 12 hours total for no reason just cause I wanted to use u-haul as a service. On top of that I still had to do the trip again to pick up the car I had in storage. On my second attempt to use one of your trailers I arrive at the pick up location to find the trailer again not in working order. U-haul sends me 30 minutes in the wrong direction to pick another one up. Finally at palmer rapids they had a working trailer and the staff was on the ball. U-haul gave me 50$ to compensate my loosing 300$ in gas and 12 hours of time plus milage on my vehicle and not to forget I still had to reschedule the trip a second time. Absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful to your customer. On top of that I couldn't even get a call back after making a complaint. I will go to social media to share my terrible experience. Other people should know to be cautious when planing around u-haul as a service. The people I spoke with have all been extremely polite and I sympathetic. However u-haul as a company and it's "policies" is a complete sham.

I then called DDO site what a difference: was great. Right on with perfect customer servive, friendly greeting, knowlegeable problem solver and everything was a breeze. HOSSEIN ROverall, everything worked out fine in the end and the move went as planned. What completely threw me off was getting a call the night before saying my reserved truck “wasn’t available.” That’s unacceptable when a reservation was made weeks in advance. Ironically, there were plenty of trucks sitting there when I arrived, so it ended up being unnecessary stress for no reason. If customers reserve ahead of time, those reservations should be honored — and if there’s an issue, it should be solved internally without passing the stress onto the customer.

I called to say I would be moving never told I had to move by 14th to not pay for the entire month… not prorated …. I will be making a review online to inform people perhaps UHaul is not place to store… oh ya mouse poison trap in unit but the rafters are open!

But the worst part was there was a dead mouse in my storage locker I even took a picture as proof that I would attach to this comment of I could.. and mouse poop EVERYWHERE! on the floor and all over my gym gear and furniture. It was really disgusting. I'll have to take extra time cleaning all my gym equipment and my couches and disinfect. I'll definitely go elsewhere next time maybe a different U-Haul than the one in Pierrefonds. No offense guys but seeing a dead mouse and poop everywhere I can only imagine what the other lockers look like. Maybe people don't follow the rules and store food and ruin it for everyone else not sure but yeah easy to access the locker and good open 24/7 access but in terms of cleanliness and likelihood to recommend or come back myself is less than 1% chance. Really disgusting mouse poop all over my stuff made me regret and repulsed by the storage we rented. More expensive price U-Haul charges compared to other storage companies I would assume they would put more effort to overall get rid of vermin infestation all over my expansive stuff. I already told front office about it and all I got was "were sorry for that".. yeah what's a sorry gonna do could have at least offered me a discount on my last month or something. Anyways I wrote alot for your guys to improve for other people because I'm never coming back to U-Haul Pierrefonds. Sorry not sorry.

CINDY U | Overall ExperienceI have been a tenant of this Uhaul for 15 years or more. It was always well maintained. Many years ago when the lighting system was changed to motion sensors, the one over my unit broke almost immediately. I was told, at the time, that replacement parts were on back order and I had to be patient. I complained to the head office and was given a battery operated light and a 50$ discount for one month. Several months later the broken sensor was replaced with one that would turn on when I arrived at my unit, and then turn off after 10 minutes. I would have to wait 30-60 seconds for the light to turn back on…… often, while standing on a step ladder. 10 minutes later, the light would turn off again for 30-60 seconds and repeat the whole cycle again. I complained to the now new manager who said they would look into it. Months later, after no change to the lighting, the manager told me that after speaking with her Maintenance supervisor, my problem was considered way down on the list of things to fix and to either be patient or not expect anything to change. My rates, however, continued to increase. In the meantime the Uhaul branch, in general, started to show signs of deterioration without repair…… the automatic security gate which required a code to be able for a car to access the area, broke down for the umpteenth time and so the gate was removed. I asked at the office if, because of this decrease in security we would be getting a reduction in our rate and was told no, that it was not a requirement. Hand rails on the stairway from the lower driveway up to the entrance was constantly breaking and continues to be a safety hazard especially in the winter. After more than 1 year of using my storage unit with its sporadic lighting situation, I reached out by email to Uhaul who told me to speak with their head of maintenance. I did this and started talking to this person who started yelling at me, saying that the storage area was not meant for people to be coming there as often as I do, and accused me of working and doing business there instead of just storing things. I tried to have a back and forth conversation with this man who kept on yelling and bullying me. I considered reporting this man to Uhaul but decided against it. I was worried that a person like this, with such a violent manner who spoke to clients this way, might become violent but, because he would have access to my unit and my home address, I thought best not to. In November I decided to empty and give up my unit. While slowly doing this, I called the front office and asked if they needed notice before giving up the space and I was told NO. I was ready to finish this week and decided to double check the cancellation policy by calling Uhauls head office when I was informed that they dead I did have to access the Information hauls app and click on the MOVING OUT button. After not being able to find this button I called back and was told by UHaul that I was required to go into my Uhauls front office to formally close the account so as to assure no more invoices would be sent. (3 different answers to 1 simple question). I am now out. I am unsure if what I have written here will ever be addressed. If not, shame on you. Perhaps years ago I should have been more forceful in asking what I thought I was paying for. Shame on me. I would be open to speaking to someone about my experience but I doubt Uhaul will take the time, have the desire, to hear it

I thought the website was misleading. After explaining The manager offered me the month free. It would also be nice to explain which truck have a ramp or not to load. Our truck didn't have one and the unloading stations for 2nd floor at the warehouse for the truck I rented was broken and the other needed a ramp, which made it extremey difficult to unload our thing to put in the storage, we were storing very heavy equipment and lifting it 2 feet high just to put it on the dock was hard and took us more time. We were very disappointed for that.

Ce matin j’ai reçu une charge de 150.pour bris! Je me suis rendu sur place On me refuse l’accès me disant que ça a été réparé hier. Je demande une photo elle me montre une photo sur son propre cellulaire qui n’a ni date ni no de casier!!! J’ai avert Visa ,ils ont inscrit qu’il y avait contestation Comme j’ai 80 ans j’ai aussi communiqué avec le groupe d’avocats qui quand on est membre de la FADOQ peuvent nous aider gratuitement. Ils trouvent la preuve que m’ a présenté Sheena n’en pas une et comme j’ ai trois personnes qui ont vu le dit casier,vous devriez arranger les choses Janine Lebel

I choose this location because it had a secure gate, however after a couple months the gate always remained 80% open which made me feel that my vehicle was not secure due to the fact that anyone would’ve been able to enter and exit.

When I arrived at the facility, the staff told me that they do not give a free month and that if I want free I should go to Laval or Lachine and they made me pay for the first month.

I called multiple times because the stairs were covered in snow. It would also have been nice if there was some lighting over the storage units themselves and not solely in the hallways. Also to correct the details above, i moved out march 31 2021
