Location busy and we were standing outside at 8:35am for a 9am return. We thought we would just wait until the store opened since we had extra days and needed a receipt. A male employee opened the door at 9:12am. We were charged for an extra day. My husband wanted to know why the charges did not add up to our extra 4 days of rental then a female barges out while male employee is inspecting truck and says send him a email we are busy and have other customers. I walked up and simply asked him to give us a list of what was charged. The extra was an extra day for being late today. This was corrected after error found. Did not appreciate the female employee flicking us off. W e do a lot of renting and needed an explanation. I do like the modern location and for the most part it is a good return location.William P.

I was originally supposed to pick up a truck from 3001 Capital Blvd location (also in Raleigh) and me + 3 other customers were in line for 1-2 hours only to learn that they did not have trucks available for us, even though we had all reserved them. Fortunately, a nearby location had similarly sized trucks available, but it caused a lot of stress as we had movers coming soon, which ended up putting them behind schedule and overall, was a waste of time. There needs to be some sort of system in place to check for all the vehicles early in the morning to confirm BEFORE customers are there that the equipment they reserved is available. Additionally, you should have backup plans or extra trucks in case. It seems like this is a frequent problem if 3-4 people at one time had this issue.NICHOLETTE M.

After dealing with the 3001 Capital Blvd location and being treat so poorly I vowed NEVER to use Uhaul again. However this location at New Bern rectified the situation. I made the reservation online yesterday and called the location (4270 New Bern Ave, Raleigh NC) to confirm: I also had questions. Uriel (Soto Ramos) morbidly answered the phone and put forth NO major or professional effort to assist. I didn't stress it... but took a mental-note. The morning post my conversation with Uriel (8/10/21), I presented at the location to secure my rental. Uriel was the only person there, and his in-person presentation was as morbid as it was via phone. He seemed to not want to be there and assisted me robotically (talked "at me" not to me). Mr. Dallas (another UHaul Rep) came in while I was dealing with Uriel, and he was EXCEPTIONALLY professional, welcoming, and helpful! He cleared up my concerns when it was clear I was getting nowhere with Uriel! The FINAL STRAW for me was Uriel renting me a DIRTY VEHICLE. Mind you, I emphatically asked him (BEFORE being given the keys) if returned vehicles were sanitized/cleaned (especially with Covid-19 still lurking). He said, "Yes." Yet when I opened the door to the truck ... there was dirt, lent, and grass in abundance! CLEARLY the vehicle had not been serviced post the last use. And I'll add: aside of Covid concerns, I have allergies to dust/dirt. I went back inside and told Uriel that the vehicle was unaccceptably dirty. He took the keys, took it around the side and cleaned it (so I thought). He came back (I was waiting inside) and handed me the keys. Didn't say "sorry about that" or escort me to the vehicle to confirm my satisfaction. In short, the vehicle was somewhat better... but NOT CLEAN. I had Lysol, gloves, and cleaning clothes with me, so I spent 15 minutes cleaning it myself (for peace of mind). I even returned it "cleaner" than it was before I rented it! The above experience (for me) was displeasing, to which I returned the vehicle sooner than I needed to. Dallas took care of the return (today) and was EXCEPTIONALLY PROFESSIONAL (again)!
