Give the truck promised to the customer -original truck was blocked in and was told it had half tank of gas - instead they gave me the truck in front of original and never said anything about the gas level - instead of moving the replacement truck - Ihad to get gas right away cuz it only had quarter tank of gas-gas guzzler too! I did not drive 89 miles either! I rented for 2nd day but did not use-was parked across the street-returned it right after 7pm the 1st night. The truck also drove very poorly and had no cruise control and gas hog. Will not rent from tbis location again. I was hoping to get the 2nd day refunded due to the issues with the truck-they were too lazy to move the truck out of the way and give me the truck reserved.WANDA M.

1. Employee inattention. When dropping off the vehicle and car dolly at the Portsmouth location, there's a sign posted to "remain in the vehicle and wait for an attendant to assist; however, after waiting for approx. 15 minutes, I decided to enter the building and speak to one of the three employees sitting at the front desk. I addressed the sign and it was subtly dismissed. The sign should probably be removed, if not being adhered to by staff. 2. Joint inspection. I had to prompt the employee to perform a joint inspection of the vehicle and equipment with me. They were just going to send me on my way. 3. It would be great if a discount could be given for early drop-off of equipment. I dropped the truck off two full days early, but got charged $37.00 extra for going over mileage. I understand that it's just company policy, but it would be great if this could be visited since early turnaround has the potential to benefit the company.Darrell P.

I am 66 years old with disabled right foot due to Charcot. I walked 30 yards with 2 bags of pads to the location of the 26 ft. truck I was assigned. Returned for 2 more bags of pads. Turns out, wrong truck. Return to counter, employee went to retrieve truck out back. Brought up truck and parked at store front, expecting me to carry pad bags back . When I signed up online, the website told me my first month would be free, only to then charge my card. I got a code for the gate to move stuff into storage, and it didn’t work at all. I called the storage manager today to have a rude manager tell me “we only do that for out of state moves” and for the code “you have to get a card”. No email I ever got told me about a card and the code didn’t even work the initial time which was what she told me it was for. First, there was supposed to be a free lock. NOPE! Had to go and ask at the office and was told all out and that I could purchase one of their other ones. Then had to walk all the way around to get back in because there is no key pad on that side of the bldging. Then tried to use the cart and ramps. The concrete ramp was broken on the end so created a VERY LARGE LIP to try and get over. The cart had a broken wheel most likely broken by the very large lip. Our furniture Dolly couldn’t even maneuver well over this lip. Made it VERY MISERABLE AND DIFFICULT TO MOVE IN. ADDITIONALLY the door shut and locked us out while trying to move in so I had to walk to a different door to let us in. All in All it was a very frustrating move in with many a cuss word spoken!! 😡. We made reservations over the phone over two months prior to relocating from Florida to Virginia. When we finally arrived with a huge 26ft uhaul and a car being towed, they told us there are no units available. You can imagine the panic we felt that moment. Apparently uhaul (corporate) will overbook things but the units themselves are “first come first serve” at this location. Having said that, the staff accommodated us rather quickly and ended up finding a unit that just emptied out which was perfect for our things. Their customer service was fantastic and the people working there are very accommodating and work hard. Can’t say enough good things about this location.
