Thetruxk was stuck in tow, when picked up the fuel light was on ,left back up light didn't work . I did call and talk to the general assistant manager whom with I sent pictures too . I dont recall gisname but he was very friendly and want to know everything that was wrong. Ty

Jeffrey BDo not overbook reservations for trucks and screw over customers on the day they are supposed to be moving because someone else didnt return the truck. Hold people to their reservations and provide better services when you do screw people over. If you are causing massive alterations on the customer's plans because your company fell through on their responsibilities then you should be more accommodating to assist in lessening the hardship you created. I will be strongly advising any and all future customers to use any other company for truck rentals.

Adrian SI really like this location. I have rented from Uhaul before at a different location and the service was horrible. I thought I would try uhaul one more time before going to a different company, and I am so glad I did. They were so nice and helpful and really.made me feel that I was important and that I mattered. I will definitely be using the Melrose location again.

JAMESJEFFREY MWhile going thru the return app process..which quite frankly takes way too long, I was approached by multiple homeless and high drug users. I have worked with lots of both and they typically do not scare me. But things an unsafe location when returning a vehicle at night. I jumped several times because as you are moving around the truck to take all the dang pictures, you have no visual line of sight. It’s scary to think that anyone could turn a corner of the truck while you are taking pictures and next thing you know…who knows what. No question there needs to be mirrors up or something. Again, I am very used to this population, don’t I was nervous, I can’t imagine how others wouid not be super scared. But there are improvements that could be made. This has zilch to do with the staff there and but for this, it was a great experience.

rebecca tDisappointed and how the reservation was handled. Was able to choose the location nearest me, however, I had to go to a further location to pick up the size trailer. I need it. Would be helpful to know when I reserve where the actual piece of equipment is located. Had to drive an additional 30 miles to be able to pick up and return my equipment.

Buffie eUHaul texted me and gave me a different dropoff location than I had origionally selected when I ordered on-line. I went to that address which was a packed garage of some sort. There was no place to park and there was nobody in the office. I went to the convenience store next door and the owner showed me where the work was done and I could find somebody there. Just then some dude in a truck pulls out of a garage and the convenience store worker pointed to it and said that was the guy that ran the uhaul/shop. We stopped the driver and he tells me that he has no room for trailers and suggested that I go to another UHaul store in the city. I go there and the service was perfect - and this is the store that I rated. The first store, that was on Starkey Road, would get zero stars and I'd discontinue their franchise immediately.

RICHARD NThe U-Haul computer was super SLOW when I came in to check out the trailer. Probably took an extra 10-15 minutes. Other than that, everything was smooth. The trailer was clean enough to use, but could use a good cleaning inside and out. One of the previous renters must have moved some straw and other not-so-clean items. I used a leaf blower to ensure I returned it cleaner than when I checked out. But a thorough cleaning should be scheduled pretty soon.
Douglas DIncrease mileage for one way rentals, additional charge for a few miles over the EXACT allocated shouldn’t be a big deal - perhaps a 10 mile buffer would suffice?
Minh SThey robbed me on the fuel because how it was given to me was so low the fuel low level alert was on and had to call uhaul roadside to find the mileage as I got it filled. Then Returned the truck with more fuel in it than I had been given and the next these thieves at melrose uhaul in roanoke charged me an outrageous additional $56.19. The kid on the phone then ignored me and told me have a nice day. Avoid these thieves as they are crooks by the books and basically dismiss you when they steal your money and refuse to credit you back. I am reporting them.

PAUL DWhen dropping off the uhaul and auto trailer, the employee was nice and did their job, but thought they might have asked if we needed any help unloading our car from the trailer, not necessarily their job but could have been helpful
Dana LThe only complaint I have is that the U-Haul place would not let me leave my car on their lot while I had the truck. It was getting dropped off at the same location and I only planned on having the truck for 4 hours or less. I know that U-Haul would not responsible for any damage so I think they should have let me park my car there.
STEPHANIEDAWN CAfter being sent to 3 locations and being overcharged since we had to return truck back to Roanoke instead of Charlottesville. Was put over an hour behind schedule. Planning on calling office they need to make this right. Someone needs to call me.
