I have used U-haul about a dozen times so far this year at several different locations and I can tell you there is a vast difference between locations !! Some are run excellently while others don't represent your company well at all !! And I have learned the hard way to inspect the equipment before accepting it!! Especially look at the tires!! Many were bald and I rejected those units . Also make sure they attach the trailer correctly!! Employee training was also very lacking usually only one or two people at each location really knew how to set up your transaction correctly seek those people out if you don't want any problems!!CLYDE M.

it was a total waste of my time. The storage facility access was denied due to computer problems? Therefore I had to use my own garage and spend 4o minutes on customer service line. Get a manager who know how to talk to a customer in a professional manner. I had a 7 AM reservation. I arrived at 6:57, your manager, John Perkins, was rude and said "It's not 7 yet." I can read a clock, I was only 3 minutes early. His attitude was pathetic.Tim C.
I have done the contactless reservation via the app 2 times for this location, both times the veh was not ready and i still needed to go inside and speak to an employee to get the keys and get the rental During the day, my cell phone got damaged and i was unable to use the app to return the equipment. I returned the equipment same day, during business hours, and handed the keys to an employee who said he would take care of it and i was good to leave. The next day in the afternoon, once i got a replacement phone, i find a txt msg asking me to verify the return of the equipment after hours and if i dont, uhaul will do it for a $20 convince fee the next day, and a review of my receiptâ€¦ yep, I got falsely charged the $20.Craig M.

The app when returning asked about a utility dolly and I marked yes by mistake because I had an appliance dolly but was charged for both even though I didn't agree with the charges and never received a call like the app stated. The question was a little bit confusing because it asked if I used items that weren't even provided to me. When moving a long or short distance a secure vehicle is a top priority. The front right wheel of my vehicle was not secure, and the strap came off during the first day of travel which we could not get back on. The employee said it might be too short, however did not offer a different trailer. Credit card machine does not work properly, and would not take the card provided. When we checked for all the items needed there was a package of furniture pads missing. We were told 3 different inconvenient locations for drop off which caused more unneeded stress during an already stressful time. Eventually we had to contact the correct location which confirmed we were to drop off both rental items there, and not at the 2 other locations that were on the paperwork. This Springfield, MO location is understaffed, undertrained, and very unorganized. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.Michele E.

1. Answer your phone. I had to call other local U Hauls to have them ask you to return calls on 3 occasions. 2. Don't cut corners. You initially installed a 10' wiring harness hangng under my Odyssey instead of a short harness to the back fuse box like U Haul in Wichita had done on another Odyssey 3 monts ago.. I spent hours getting you to fix it. But if you had only told me up front to wait while the correct short harness was delivered I would have been happy, even though your price is 33% more than the Wichita dealer. 3. Fix your email and printer. We left without invoice or warranty twice because your store isn't modernized to the 21st century.Karen T.

The staff did a great job and the vehicle operated fine but it the smoke smell in the vehicle was almost unbearable. I cannot believe Uhaul allows smoking in their vehicles. There wasn't a single no-smoking sticker in the van. It made me sick to my stomach.William R.

I ended up at this location after a terrible experience at another U-Haul location. By "terrible", I mean almost calling the police terrible after an employee - who would not give me his name - told me he was "in charge" when I asked to speak to a manager. He then threatened me and told me to go to "Glenstone". Which I did. And the staff was fantastic, efficient, and friendly. If you need a rental in Springfield MO, go North my friends.ROBERT B.

The pick up I rented was muddy in the bed. I had to take it to a car wash and clean it before I could put my furniture in it because I didn't want dirt on my furniture. And the cab of the truck smelled of smoke so bad that we had to ride with the windows down and no AC. We had to spray it with fabrez and put an air freshener in it, just to ride in it. When we got to our location, the clothes on our body smelled like smoke from being in the truck.Kaitlyn M.

I dropped my vehicle off early and put the key in the box. I tried from my celll phone and i pad to complete the online and it would not recognize my location. I changed settings multiple times. I clean and detail cars for a living and when I hoped in that bad boy to drive off the window was covered with a film on the inside there were bottles inside the car, there was a mask under the seat. When we picked up the U-Haul it has less than a quarter of a tank of gas there were cigarette butts in the door handle and there was a man's wallet strung out across the dash which was empty we returned our U-Haul the following day my wife left her wallet on the dash with down the road turnaround came back and all her cash was stolen out of her wallet over $500 had to make a police report The three guys at the counter pulled my wife what do you think you're gonna do about it and walked awayBryan W.

Employee's Not Trained Properly On Trailer Hook-up And Towing Ball Installment! My Towing Ball Came Loose Halfway Through My Trip Outside Birmingham Alabama, Luckily In The Hotel Parking Lot When We Were Maneuvering To Leave! The Ball Was So Loose It Sit Sideways After The Trailer Came Off. And Trailer Hitch Damaged My Bumper Cover In The Process, And The U-Haul Location Manager Totally Refused To Talk To Me Personally About It, Or Offer To Pay For The Damage After Having Insurance On It! The reservation process is a joke. They will let you make reservations on rooms that aren’t available giving you a false sense of security. I scheduled well in advance for this truck. I specifically requested a newer model due to length of drive. I was instructed to call dispatch 1-2 weeks in advance to reaffirm my wishes for a newer truck and I did this. Upon arrival I was informed the newer truck was given to another individual who had a longer drive. My son-in-law is a CDL driver informed the personnel an oil warning light was on. It took 2-4 quarts to fill up the needed oil. This alone made me very uncomfortable starting out. The entire ride was very uncomfortable as either the tires are out of round, need alignment, or need to be balanced to the extent that it caused motion sickness. I am not sure if previous drivers didn't report the issue or if the personnel at UHaul simply didn't check the vehicle prior to releasing it. I have always had great customer service and trucks previously. Hopefully this is an isolated situation.KATHLEEN M.
The 26' truck was clean although with 160,000 miles the steering seemed a little loose. All other aspects of the rental process went very well and the U-Haul staff were a pleasure to work with. I would certainly do it again and actually will rent a smaller truck for next weekend to complete the move that we were not able to complete on Saturday.GARY S.

Homeless sleeping in units management ..... horrible does not care about the safety of clients rude loud . Two occasions my debit card was mishandled. Dirty trash inside an outside buildings . Never answered phone . Had to call one on Campbell street to get help . Glenstone location in Springfield mo needs new management before some one gets hurt it is that bad over there feel free to call me and my husband and three others we meet by being in a bad situation just cause we needed to use are storages .
