Customer experience severely lacking from General manager, Darnell. Upon arriving for pickup I entered the location to Darnell who ignored me for a few minutes until he was ready to assist although I was the only customer in building, not even greeted or a â€œI'll be right with youâ€. I gave him the information for pick up when he was ready and tells me â€œno dollysâ€ although I had reserved one, reservations aren't reservations and as he put it â€œfirst come first serveâ€. Severely impacted move time and logistics. Upon return of vehicle I was immediately greeted by Lamar, highlight of experience, genuinely happy and even asked how everything went. I ended up not using blankets I rented, still vacuum sealed and never touched. Lamar brought me in to Darnell to inquire about removing from bill since he acknowledged they weren't used where we were met with a â€œtoo bad, nothing can be doneâ€ I inquired since my reservation for a dolly wasn't upheld he would reconsider which was met with another brush off and â€œnothing to work outâ€. This was my first time renting a trailer, so I didn't really know what to expect. The agent hooked the trailer up to my car just fine, but I would have appreciated if he had explained what he was doing while he was doing it. I read the advice regarding towing that came with my contract, which was very helpful, but the agent could have also advised driving slower than usual, allowing more distance, making wide turns, etc. Not a big deal, but it would have been helpful.Richard E.

On Sunday, November 13, 2022 - The morning/afternoon representative at the front desk has excellent customer service skills. He was very pleasant with me and went out of his way to help me with my needs. Also, the weekend "hook up hitches to vehicles guy " was extremely nice and helped me unload some of my items into the storage unit. They showed exemplary service throughout my time at Uhaul. Poor experience. My pod arriving was late on the beginning side and I had to reschedule movers. The pod was picked up immediately after loading, but still was late on the other end and they could not call me tell me what was going on or how late it was going to be -- just text messages due to "short staffing." I had to reschedule movers on the end side as well. Each time I called, I had to get transferred at least 2 times to the right department. Just seems like no one knows ever what's going on... stuff got there safely, but expect a headache in the middle trying to arrange everything.Lindsay J.

The movers may be a negative effect. Especially when they do not maintain reservations, no follow up and terrible customer service like with Trae Movers. The service was terrible and they didnt even maintain the appt. Found a number of excuses to offer and then referred me back to uhaul to get my money back.Ogechi U.

This suggestion is not about the location but about your process. Requiring a customer to go online while outside and take & upload photos of the dings and scratches as part of the checkout process is pretty ridiculous. The attendant used to come outside and look at the vehicle together with the customer. The attendant then entered any pertinent information, and the customer was able to get on his/her way. That process needs to be re-instated.Stephen D.

The original trailer had damage to the side and top. There was a hole in the top that could have let water in if it was raining. Additionally the person helping me with the trailer knew very little about balancing the trailer and hitch height. Recommend training for the staff or at least have them explain to potential customers that a hitch receiver sitting low changes the loading of the trailer.Charles D.
The reservation we originally made was with Pack2Ship 2208 Hanfred Ln Ste 102 Tucker, GA 30084 I flew from New Orleans to Atlanta to get the U-Haul, took an Uber form the airport, got to this location at 9:30 a.m. (said they were open at 9:00 a.m.) and NO ONE WAS THERE! Waited for 20 minutes and then got another Uber and went to 2951 NE Expwy Chamblee, GA 30341 and they were awesome and got us a truck. SO MAD. I was not told I would be given a bigger truck than what I originally ordered. This caused a lot of difficulty for the 20 hour drive that was ahead. I was informed my location of pickup changed, but was still told I would have a 20' truck. The amount of gas that was unnecessarily purchased for the bigger truck was horrendous. I also ordered 2 hand trucks and was asked when I got there if I still needed them because they only had 1. If Uhaul doesn't have everything someone needs at the pickup location, that should be communicated BEFORE someone goes to pick up the truck. Stop sending 100 texts about moving a trailer for uhaul and communicate with paying customers about their order. I wouldn't do this ever again.John P.

Staff was very disrespectful idk who these new guys are, Nick and the other guy above Nick at the Uhual on 2951 NE Expressway chamblee ga but the customer service was trash. I’ve had a small unit at that location for a couple years now & wanted to upgrade to a bigger one so I reserved it online a week or so prior for June 11 & went on June 11 afternoon to obtain it. Nick prematurely moved me out of my current unit before we solidified the bigger unit. The price for the larger unit I reserved was a higher price and I even showed them the screenshot. The guy above Nick refused to honor that price I reserved it for therefore I no longer wanted it. I told him I’ll stay in my current unit since y’all aren’t honoring the price & he said since I’d been moved out in the system he didn’t have access to move me back in & I’d have to call customer service on Monday to get my unit back. I’d asked for something in writing or some type of confirmation so I’m not out here with no unit come Monday with ALL my stuff in it looking crazy. He refused and decided he wasn’t dealing with me, dismissed me & was very nasty, saying his manager would have to do it & he’s off so oh well. After the 2nd time of asking him to call his manager & not ignore me he finally called & the manager walked them through how to move me back in through the system. Something so simple to rectify but instead they decided to ignore me and treat me like nothing. But I will not be ignored; especially regarding something I’m paying for monthly. And this is nothing against the manager bc I believe I met him and his customer service was above average in our dealings. The Manger of this facility needs customer service training. The turn over rate at this place is ridiculous and no one wants to spend their money where the service is horrible and the employees don’t fully understand or can not fully communicate the standard rates and fees well enough to successfully secure a storage unit for a customer where it’s not a big confusion when that employee is absent and some else is assisting the customer. This has been the most consistently convenient and supportive staff that I’ve experienced in the Atlanta area for the past 10 years. The manager is also always onsite and assisting his team during any complications. I have a major problem with your policy of renting a storage unit. Your people asked me for 2 addresses and 3 phone numbers. I am a single man. I have 1 cell phone. I had to give a phone number of a friend and sister. There is no reason for you to involve ANYONE, for any communication purpose, involving my storage unit. You contact me and me only and don't ask for ANYTHING else. I don't want anyone involved in my life, issues, or storage unit. I have a mailing address and a physical address. You don't need both. Nobody gets both. Why do you need it? Had I known that you were going to ask for all this info, I would have taken my business elsewhere.
