Sunday, mid-afternoon pick up, not busy at all, had pre-registered online so check-out was smooth, friendly, and efficient. Truck fuel level was at 3/8 full and I was told that same level was required at destination check-in; somewhat different than car rentals where fuel level comes full and should be returned full.MICHAEL H.

They did not have my U-box ready when it was scheduled to be picked up. The movers that were scheduled to pick up the box ended up being an hour and a half late due to the confusion and disorganization at this U-Haul location. After an hour and a half of confusion, and me having to physically come down to the location to figure out a solution I was finally able to pick up my U-box, but not without having to spend MORE money.taylor C.
I was on time for my truck pick up and was ignored for more than 10 minutes. Then when someone tried to help me he became agitated that he misunderstood that I was picking up, not dropping off. I waited another 15 minutes. Due to all of this I had to pay my helpers for a full hour of wasted time.James P.

The gas was not where the records showed on their system. When I pointed it out they didn't want to go back and correct it, they just said to take a picture and they will fix it where I drop it off. Which caused problems and misunderstanding where I dropped it off. Also, I was supposed to get a discount for dropping it off the same day that they did not put in the system or they couldn't bring it up in their system, so I payed full priced and said that the discount was going to show when I dropped the truck and trailer off.EVA O.

I am just upset that the rate went up about $1300 within the 3 week period I was checking for a truck. Also that the closet UHaul didn't have a 15 foot truck, then the second location, the truck was in repair. They called us at 7am we had to travel further into Phoenix at a 3rd location for our 8am pickup when we had movers coming at 9am.JOSEPH P.
The whole experience was very confusing and overwhelming. The number of times I called customer service and was told "I don't know" or was passed along to another department was ridiculous. If I would've known that I was going to be responsible for doing half of the work of scheduling movers, figuring out pick up/drop off locations, figuring out where my Ubox's were (after they were lost), etc., then I would've gladly went elsewhere and paid more for a better experience. Unfortunately, we did not have a positive experience checking in our vehicle/rental return. The original location that Uhaul sent to us to for the return would not accept the vehicle as they said they didn't take 1-way vehicles (Haul and they told us to go to a different Uhaul location 3.5 miles away. And upon arriving at that location a few minutes before closing, the doors were locked and the man who was behind the counter told us they were closed and we had to do self check-in.... which was OK... but the personnel at this location were NOT very helpful... and this was NOT a good customer experience.STEPHEN S.

Truck was dropped off on Sunday at 8:26 am. Used the mobile app which made it appear all was good. Got a call later on Sunday from U Haul wanting to know when I was dropping off the truck. Concerned I called and waited 20 minutes to speak to someone. Rep was extremely nice but was unable to resolve situation. Waited all day to receive invoice via email, never came. Next am called u haul again, no help was told to go to location and resolve there. Drove 20 miles to location, found truck was there but never checked in. Waited for check in and invoice. Was charged two extra days instead of one, this situation became a heated argument between myself and the manager. He was extremely rude and condescending and at one point shoved my phone off counter to slap down the contract. He finally agreed that I shouldn't pay for a day it sat on the lot. On my cross country trip I passed a lot of Penske rucks, I will surely give them a call for my upcoming move from CA to AZ. Very poor service all the way around. Guess this is what happens when you grow too big too fast. Seems customer first ought to be the motto in a customer centered business such as u haul. I have rented extensively from u haul and never had such a bad experience, all on a @ $1500.00 rental. Sad !'KEVIN F.

I arrived before white people and they ignored me for being hispanic... until when they finiah helping thw white cuatomers I asked 3 different people for help and thwy all told me to wait. The fucken mirror of the driver side kept getting lower with every little bump and that treuck jump alot... probably needs shock absorbers and maintenance... making it a hazard to drive... When your employee finaly decided to help me, he said that he help the other cuatomers because he tough I self check online (even when he saw me on line waiting outside... even after he asked me if I was returning the 26 foot truck) when I toldhim that the fucken mirtor was a hazzard he said that I was offending him... I said no , I said the fucken mirror keeps falling... i didnt said the f word to you there is a difference, he said we are done... i need my recwipt , he said jump into the van and turn on the ligths we are gonna check the breaks... i told him thats your job... thats not my job, all I need you to check is the miles and gasoline... Why I can deliver the truck at nigth and nobody will make me check the dawm stupid fucking ligths... and this asshole can try to make me waste my time. After they already ignored me and treated me as a second class customer? I WOULD NEVER USE YOUR FUCKING CONPANY AGAIN. FUCK YOU UHAUL...Marco A J.

Wash the exterior and interior of your trucks. My truck needed a wash. The exterior was dirty and the mirrors were dirty which made it hard to see. The interior had a visible layer of dust and stunk of body odor.Marisella V.
The location did NOT honor the U-Haul reservation guarantee! The trailer I reserved was not available due to another customer not returning on time. Unfortunately, I ended up with a trailer larger than I reserved which caused significant headaches where the unloading was occurring. I requested the guarantee be honored and was basically brushed off. The trailer was full of small pebbles which we had to clean off prior to loading or it could have damaged the wheels of our cargo. Person helping was rude charged us for daily insurance even though our contract didn't state this.. he said if you want to leave your trailer rental here and turn in you pay the extra insurance or drop it off somewhere elseâ€¦ we turned in trailer there in knowing we would never use uhaul ever againâ€¦..when you're greedy you eventually lose repeat business .. so keep being lousyROBERT D.

Sales people were very friendly. However, staffing was extremely limited. One employee was behind the counter helping a customer while an additional 4 customers waiting in line and he was also trying to answer the phone. Manager was called but it took him a while to come and help. I was there for over 40 minutes waiting to return a van. Manager came outside to check me out. He was in an air conditioned van trying to figure out the mileage while I was waiting outside the van, in the heat sweating. It took way too long and Manager was not apologetic at all. The Manager did however accommodate my requests in extending the rental by a few days. The manager might have had an off day...we all have those. But its the small acknowledgments and gestures that can speak volumes. Maybe a little empathy will help.PATRICIA A.

Replace traffic. Who cancelled my original reservation without contacting me, after I'd had a guaranteed reservation, paid in full, delaying our trip by 2.5 hours (across state after already driving for 12 hours). Their inconsiderate act and complete lack of customer service resulted in 5 extra calls to Uhaul and 3 unpleasant conversations with reps who are underpaid to be forced to deal with customers that traffic screwed over. I'll buy a trailer before I rent from Uhaul again.Danielle L.

Although this truck seemed to idle ok... it's driveability was really terrible. The noise coming from the motor sounded like the whole thing may blow and go bad at any moment.
