After having the 1st van break down not 10 miles from the store, nearly causing an accident. They brought another van to me. The store did not call roadside for me they told me I had to place the order myself online which I did. So I sat on the side of the road wasting valuable time not knowing when or if a tow would come because I never got a call from roadside. The store manager, I presume, showed up about 45 minutes after I initially called. He left the other van with me but made sure to note the miles I had traveled in the 1st van and what the miles were at in second van. This already was a bad sign that they were still going to make me pay for this inconvenience. I told the manager that the car lost almost all power at an intersection and creeped at 1mph through it. The cars ecu had locked me out from using the gas. I was helpless and prayed to God that no one hit me. The manager thought it might have been because the previous customer put diesel in the van. I was barely able to get done what I needed to and return the second van on time. The manager told me my charges were about what they had been before and I said "look I used your equipment so I get that I owe you but the right thing in this circumstance would have been to at least comp some of it." he said "well we did bring you another van" and I said "yes and I appreciate that but all that was was making the situation right." we didn't see eye to eye on that and I told him I'd leave a review then left.

They said that there was no drop off location in Lincoln City, only Eugene and that if I did find one I wouldn't be charged extra. Found two places in Licoln City to drop off and was charged extra for wrong location drop off. Also, when setting up the contract, my three additional days were placed on a separate contract in the system so when I return my trailer I was charged those days because no one could find it in the system. We're now at an additional $250. When I contacted customer service, they said best of luck contact a regional office. When I contacted that office, they said you shouldn't be charged that much. I was.

I spoke with the District Manager Nestor Ruiz and informed him I would need a 10ft truck from Phoenix to Mesa. He gave me a truck and I left and went about my day. Once finished with the U-Haul I dropped it off in a location in Mesa like discussed. The U-Haul location in Mesa told me I needed to return it to the Phoenix location. I told them I was not headed back in that direction and I informed Mr. Ruiz I would only need the truck from Phoenix to Mesa. I was told to return it to the Phoenix location and I would be compensated for the Mileage. Upon arriving at the original Phoenix location I was told I would be charged for the mileage coming back to Phoenix. This was terrible communication on part of Mr. Ruiz. If I had known I would need to return the truck back to Phoenix I would not of used U-Haul. The only reason I used U-Haul was to alleviate stress of moving only to be forced to back track wasting my time and money. This experience has shaken my trust in the U-Haul company ESPECIALLY since I was originally speaking with the DISTRICT MANAGER who clearly did not tell me what I needed to know before leaving the store with a U-Haul truck. I will no longer use U-Haul nor will I ever recommend the 2345 E McDowell Rd location for lack of important customer service skills.

In the email, it says the location was at 24th & McDowell. In Phoenix, there is a 24th St. & 24th Ave, and the email didn't specify. I went to 24th Ave and McDowell the morning of my pickup by mistake. I then Googled "Uhaul Phoenix" and it said there was a neighborhood dealer at 1400 N 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009. That's not true, it's just an old warehouse. The number on google was (602) 274-4012 which is some random guy's phone number. Long story short, in the reminder email you send I would suggest you put the full address of the pick up location. At the very least, if you put 24th & McDowell, please be sure to specify 24th St. or Ave.

Your counter people were very helpful as soon as I walked thru the door. I did not have to wait not even 10 secs. They asked for my reservation number which I had forgot to bring so they looked it up under my name. I was hooked up and gone in approx 20 minutes which was good with me.

Beautiful new van and the general manager and counter/front desk employees were very professional and courteous. However, I was very disappointed to be charged for gas. There is no way the tank was on 3/4 as their email receipt indicated. It was on 3/4 when I added 1.75 gallons. That pushed it between 3/4 and 7/8 which is what the contract indicated when I picked it up. After getting gas I drove less than 3 miles to return the van. No way that ate up 1.75 gallons. Not sure if this is a scam for the location to make money or an honest mistake. Either way leaves bad taste in my mouth and very unlikely to return to UHaul.

I went in to a corporate location on 33rd ave and indian school in phoenix,az. My experience was horrendous. It was the day before this rental. I rented exclusively from u0haul but because of Blaine(Groot) I will never rent from u0haul again or do business with them. The only reason I still rented from you guys is because I wasnt close to a budget. I can be reached at 4802538841 if someone from upper management wants to discuss the details..

Trailer seemed to be getting old from wear. Taillight was dislodged from the back of the trailer when i rented it. The employee that i worked with got it working for awhile but it failed again at some point during my journey. The service i received at that location was very good. Very helpful and courteous.
