I called u haul on baseline for a trailor and hitch set. They told us they had lots come on in. When i got there they didnt have a trailor. They sent me to Mcadowell location. When i got there they didnt have a hitch guy i was told. I had to rent more expensive truck which was marked as 1/4 full tank. When i got in this 26 foot truck...for a couch i was picking up...it was in the red. Empty. Had to stop at first gas station to put in some gas. It just wasnt a good day all in all. Was expecting to spend 36.00 or so and ended up spending almost 70.00

No problem with this McDowell Location but why not the location closest to the final destination? My final was in Anthem, AZ. anthem ha a moderate size UHaul facility but it was not available as a drop off on the website.

I just received a receipt for a payment charged to my Visa for 3 extra days usage on a trailer which was returned a day ahead of schedule to the McDowell location in Phoenix, Az. I had called in earlier today to confirm that the trailer was in fact returned with the truck and was told that the receiving agent failed to key in the trailer as returned. Thinking the issue was complete, now a few hours later received an emailed receipt for a charge for 3 extra days use on the same trailer. The error on the part of Uhaul from an already poor experience on this rental now made worse by charging my card with out authorization has taken my normal easy going nature to a boiling point. After phoning in to the same agent I spoke with earlier today I am told the charge will be reversed and should take 5-10 days to show up in my account and timing is determined by my bank. The domino affect of errors with this rental experience and the pending reservation make me question the overall competence level of Uhaul and it's indifference to this customer in this transaction is unacceptable. Not only am I very displeased by the experience but if it weren't for a need of the truck I have on reservation for my final cross state move I would cancel immediately. I will be outlining my experience in this matter to Uhaul Corporate and will share my experience throughout social media reviews. Unacceptable practices! Pay Attention!

We dropped the truck and trailer off after hours and used the after hours drop box. The site was very clean, well lit for after hours customers and all services needed for drop off were clearly marked. Much appreciated after a long trans state move. Their post return email was clear and understood easily.

The location was backed up with customers attempting to return/pick up equipment and everyone was rushed. I was just charged for additional days when I rented and returned my trailer on the same day.

Need more staff. There was only one person at the desk when we arrived and about four other people in line. The customer at the desk had a lot of questions and staff was taking his time to answer them but also seemed to be having some trouble with technology (small device, looks like a phone). Eventually, another employee comes out from a back room (lunch break?) and starts to help people at the counter, but when I get up there (after 20 minutes of waiting) he said he couldn't return the truck (he didn't know how to do that yet?) and said someone was supposed to be outside. I said there wasn't anyone outside, so I sent my husband out to check. By this time the first employee had taken the customer he was helping outside, so my husband asked him and eventually (5-10 minutes later) he came back in to check us out. He came out with this small device (scanner/small touch screen) but the touch screen wasn't working well (wasn't recognizing his fingers' touch-large thumbs/hands) so was taking awhile for him to do the checkout on that device, but eventually it worked. I had bought some twine when I picked up the truck and didn't use it, and wanted to return it, but thought it might take another 5 minutes for that, so passed. The employee was doing a good job, just not given the tools to do it well, so it made the experience a bummer after a great rental otherwise.

Everyone with the exception of the lady that issued my storage unit was helpful. One of the guys that worked there looked like he was mad and did not even greet, let alone, ask if I needed help. He was like this to everyone else I saw except for someone that he seemed to know. Separate issue.... When I was returning the auto transport, I got halted and rudely told to stay in my car so she (the attendant) can inspect the light. I fully understand her need to check the lights. The demeanor to which she told someone to stay in their vehicle is one that I would compare to someone that is mad or a police officer giving commands at a traffic stop. Additionally, she went to the back of the trailer and took her time to let me know which light is being checked. It is only when I snapped back at her that she somewhat started to respond a little nicer.

The one you should be asking what went wrong?! is the people that set the rentals up. I paid for it on Sunday for pick-up on Thursday. they contact me on Wednesday at 1800hrs to say they had no trailer in Flagstaff AZ. where I was to pick-up, but I could pick one up in Chino Valley AZ. that was 200+ miles out of my way. I called at about 2330 hrs Wednesday for delivery the next day, at about 0130hrs all I received was sorry and to call at 0700hrs. I did and still ended up getting it in Camp Verde not really out of my way but I would get to haul it all uphill for 100+ to Flagstaff AZ. more gas and more bullshit. I set it up for 1200hrs pickup at Flagstaff and they put 1500hrs. I told them I was going to get it at noon, more than one time on Sunday. the one in Camp Verde they told me I could get it at 1500hrs. This is all Bullshit and I will think long and hard before using you again?? this is the first time I have had this problem but it will be the last time. PISSED OFF

I think your advertising is quite deceiving. I did not pay $19.95 but over $150 plus a tank of gas for my 8 hour rental. Yes, I drove over 100 miles but you need to put a gigantic asterick next to your dollar claim.

Made my reservation for a 10ft truck and tow dolly for my car. Tow dolly wasnt available when i went to pick it up. Waited almost an hour before they found one that i had to go get from a different location and come back so they can load my car. When i got to my destination i had to unload my car by myself because i was told "that is our policy" "other location shouldn't had helped you with any of that" very disappointed in the service although Alex Smith was helpful throughout i was very inconvinenced. I wasnt offered any type of resolution. Had to use more gas to travel 40 miles roundtrip just to get the TF that i had reserved prior. I wouldve like some sprt of discount or even a bottle of water under this Az sun. But no. Nothing. Paid full price. Never complained once. Picked up truck at 9am. Loaded came back 1.5hrs later for TD didnt hit the road til 130pm. Shouldve been halfway tonmu destination by that time.
