The steering on the truck is messed up and made for a long day of driving. Truck was parked in between two other vehicles and if we arrived before the store opened to pick up the truck we could not have done that. Our equipment we ordered to help with the move was not in the truck and we did not get all the moving blankets we paid for. Inside glass on truck was really dirty.Robert K.

I had the truck reserved for 8:00 because I had movers scheduled at 8:30. They didn't have the truck ready and frankly couldn't handle simple transactions with me or the guy in front of me. When I asked them at 8:20 to please hurry, I got attitude. The girl working the counter gave me a bullshit excuse that the truck was returned late and there was nothing they could do about it. She also mumbled something under her breath about reservations, so I quickly let her know I did reserve the truck. They can get fucked. I won't use that location again.Joshua R.

Pickup process was average. Took about 45 minutes because of some computer errors. The $25 cash only, seemingly under the table fee for loading a car onto the auto transport didn't leave the best taste in my mouth but ok otherwise.Kevin S.

I went from Luray Va to Durham NC. I was allowed with the rental 322 miles before you occur further charges. my trip was 305 miles to be exact. I get charged to my credit card an extra $322.00 which stated I went over my trip by 722 extra miles. they have got to be kidding me, from pick up to drop off nothing went smooth with U-haul. very unsatisfied Customer here. Reserved a 10' truck. Couldn't complete online check-in, because My reservation was still assigned to another location. This changed when that location did not have a 10' truck. First time in area. When making the reservation on the phone on June 1st I requested this drop off point. When we did out confirmation online we requested this drop off point. As we were driving this morning I received a text message informing me that the site changed. We had no idea where this site was. We went to our original requested drop off because it was just blocks from our new house. They were rude and told us if we dropped off at this location then we were in Breach of contract and would be charged $1000 penalty fee. We couldn't find it in our contract and if we wanted a different location then just call.....so we did. As we were waiting on hold the staff found out that we were contacting customer support and they were like hang up we will just check you out. We asked about the penalty fees and were told not to worry about them that they were going to take care of it. They couldn't they be like that in the first place.Mark M.

Costed over double what they quoted. They didn't have the pickup truck i was guaranteed. They gave me a 10' truck instead. I had the rental for 4 hours. I returned it after 3 1/2 hours, and was charged $20 late fee. I literally handed the guy the key. He said he would check me in. I drove 30 miles. They charged me $10 rental fee, a $47 gas fee, the 59c per mile fee agreed upon, plus and and insult to injury, a random $1 fee. wow! Unbelievable! Do Not Go Here!Chris O.

This is a large uhaul rental location with a store for moving supplies. But the location is fantastic. Drop off was so convenient as 70 is highway taken between my home and my daughters and it was her and my son in law who unloaded me and then dropped off trailer on their way homeRobin P.

The driver's side door was damaged when I received the truck. It took a lot of force to close it . I had checked before renting asking if their was a lock for the cargo door and was told yes. Day of rental had to buy a lock as they don't give locks to one way rentals.Glen L.

There were three employees working there with 2 on the phone and the other running around Once a person begin to help me he continued to answer the phones I think he was new because he continued to ask other workers what to do After completing my sign in via the app it canceled my reservation and I had to go into the store. The air didn't work In the truck the guy tried to accuse me of damage that was already on the truck the manager came out and at first was gonna accuse me as well until she saw the x on the truck and that there was no way possible I could have done it I paid for a dolly I never got only help I received was from the guy with the hat he was very nice but the one that waited on me needs to learn how yo talk to customers and make they get what they paid for just down right rude will never use this location ever again also as I continued to call into the store for help the girl with the dreads kept putting me on hold after I told her I need help she said they are busy and hung up on me and u kept calling back and she wouldn't pick up finally someone else did so overall the whole team needs a lesson on customer service it's terrible there please make sure my money for the dolly is refunded the black guy with the hat nerf yo teach them customer service and to make matters worse the manager says to me make sure the truck doesn't get more damage I was flabbergasted because I didn't put any damage on in the first place not in the a joking mood at that point horrible experience but the dread head girl and the guys that rang me out are the worst how you hang up on a customer that's already being serviced and needing help just plan awfulchandra R.

This is about your customer service people not at a UHaul location. I had to look up a receipt because I was charged extra. The young lady was new I was told because you have a busy season. I totally understand lol! She informed me that she would have to send me to customer service, which always has your wait time at an hour. So, I hung up and called again and got another you g lady who looked it up for me right away. My hat goes off to her. Please inform your newbies that they need to go above and beyond for their/your customers. Pull up the receipt. Maybe they were uninformed. Please inform them. Your wait time is insane. Make sure to check trucks that customers have brought back and forgotten any items. I rented a 10' Truck and found two legs to a table wrapped in white paper. Our Ubox was at the final destination for two weeks before it was delivered, yet it was still delivered late. There was miscommunication between the corporate side and within the individual Uhaul sites at each step of the process. Even after a representative called me to tell me the pick up window time, I received a call from the same site asking me when I was returning the Ubox. I will not be using Ubox services again and don't recommend it. Customer service has not been helpful and has not responded to my emails.Heidi S.

The staff inside at the desk need to brush up on their customer service skills. I was treated like I was causing a burden on them, and they didn't try very hard to help me resolve my issue. I would refer anyone to the people at this location because they are very sweet, dedicated and patient... But as far as Uhaul itself.. They took from me 300.00 for a not even 24hr rental 15 ft and I only made 2 trips they said were 104 miles, which was wrong and I was charged 82.00 twice for a 29.99 rental and 136 for milage. I'm a single mother in a hotel now and it's saddened because every penny is needed now.Tawana S.

Is words I would describe this facility as WOW. It was the cleanest storage facility I ever used and the people were the most freely that I have ever seen in my last 10 years of using U-Haul. I move yearly for my job (whole house - state to state) and for the last 9 years i have never used a better location. The facility and trucks from this location have been the best ever....comparing to different locations around 9 different states. And this u Haul facility and their truck conditions were the best I have ever seen and experience. The staff work very hard to keep the facility including the bathroom spotless. Thank you. Please consider how time efficient and safer it would be if the outdoor access for Ubox access on the premises had a canopy and had direct light shining at the boxes after office hours. By safer I mean being able to ensure you can be seen if you trip on a bus or trip due to the pavement having grooves shaped in it for the path of traffic. It is great getting fresh air and accessing the UmUboxes on your premises, which is set up for this product to be placed and moved upon. Another idea is a small portable chain fence placed around the Uboxes in case a dog or squirrel wonders over or a box rolls out while accessing the unit.
