Awful customer service. Had a guaranteed reservation and they could not find the key to the truck I rented. Took them 30 minutes to communicate the problem. Took another 30 minutes to find another truck. Waited 1 hour. Train your people to talk to customer and communicate basic information. I felt like I was a nuisance and not a customer.

Christopher LThe traffic dept was very disorganized. I had one person tell me they are a "rookie" and that someone else would have to call me back just to schedule my pickup of packed Uboxes. I didn''t get a call back so I called in for the next person to say I had missed the window and my pickup and later delivery wouldn't be possible on the days I had indicated in my booking. Many calls later and a half day of intense stress about it they finally were able to schedule for the days I had booked. Then when trying to call in to schedule pickup of the empty Uboxes they kept pushing my pickup date back saying I hadn't confirmed verbally when I had told someone at the office anytime that next day would work for me. When I tried to call back again the office didn't answer and I kept getting transferred over to a Virginia office over and over again. This experience was an absolute mess and very stressful for me. I will not be booking Uboxes ever again and will recommend others to choose a different option as well based on this experience.

We had a blow out on the Tallahassee bridge-luckily no one was hurt. When we complained back to u haul they claimed we were offered a new truck and we declined it which was a lie.

MADALYN LI had an in-town rental of a truck and auto transport trailer. I rented the pair for 1 day but ultimately kept the truck for 3 days. The trailer was returned during the first day to an employee. I was informed upon dropping off the trailer that it would be noted and adjusted. Instead they charged me for 3 days of trailer resulting in an extra $110 when I was only expecting to be charged for 1 day. I called and spoke to Dare who informed me that this can't be done for in-town rentals (but can be for out of town?) and that policy was listed in the contract. I read the contract and found no mention of it. They lied about being able to return the trailer and they lied about the contract. The employees at this location are polite but management is greedy. Don't bother acting in good faith because they don't.

Terrence BUsing U-Haul boxes to move my belongings from the West to East Coast was a fantastic experience. Moving is difficult and stressful, but U-Haul services and the moving help companies suggested on both ends of my move were amazing. I would highly recommend U-Haul boxes.

Than also being forces upon return to use app for checkout by Customer sevice which I did not have because I did desk checkin while a big sign says to wait on Customer representative for checkout or use the uhaul app. I am instead renting next time at home depot as this was just really bad.

Then mileage was wrong, always get customer service when calling versus the store and communication just wasn't professional from customer service to location. Really was a headache I'd rather drive across town and use other location. If someone doesn't know process or if things have changed staff needs to explain so that they understand. But workers seem new and self led so hey. Truck rode raggedy like it need tires and alignment badly. Inside was clean but outside look like they ran through mud. Flow of parking lot is odd especially when big rigs pull in for business.

TYRONE SI would recommend that when someone books a reservation ALL of the required information be gathered at that time and not at the pickup location on the day of the pick up. I was told on the phone all I needed was to do to complete the reservation was to appear at the location and pay for and pick up the vehicle. When I arrived at the location I was told I needed to provide an additional two (2) persons as points of contact and who would be legally liable for any and all damages should I not be reachable, before I could remove the vehicle from the location. That is a fairly significant request to finalize a rental. If three (3 ) people are required to be held liable for the rental of a single (1) vehicle, then that should 1. be mentioned at the time of reserving the vehicle, and 2. that information should be gathered at the time of making the reservation. I felt a little blindsided by the requests and had to scramble to find a third (3) random contact to be held liable as me and my wife (who was present but not going to drive) were insufficient for me to rent the vehicle and remove it from the location. First, requiring three (3) people to be legally responsible for liability that a driver might cause is overkill. Second, waiting until the day of the rental to ask for this extraneous person was stressful and seems completely unnecessary.

I will definitely rent from them again, as the location is convenient for me. However plywood floor of drive-up unit was slightly cracked when I moved in, which I knew and accepted after discussion with the sales person (it was the only drive-up unit still available, and I needed one for moving rolling kitchen equipment into until it went to auction). However that crack got a lot worse quickly, and I was surprised to find that there was no concrete support underneath, just dirt. The damp floor split and that led to an increase in insects and evidence of rat poop on my items. I hope that they will properly repair and seal up the floor of this unit, and check the other ones of similar build/location.

Not sure exactly when that changed, but it became a problem over time. We had an incident where an employee checked us out of 2 units, which we did not discover until our payment didn't draft and the remaining unit was "overlocked"... we could have easily lost our belongings through no fault of our own. Over the last 6 months or so, the sight seemed to have an excessive number of trucks particularly occupying the loading dock area, which made access to the building complicated when we went to the site to add or remove totes from our units. It was obvious the trucks were not rented to others, but inventory that was just parked there. Definitely room for improvement at this site.

I needed a uhaul truck for ONE DAY, ONE WAY but was forced to pay for THREE days, ONE Way (I assume). From Atlanta, Ga to Raleigh, NC is only 402 miles. I was forced to pay for 486 miles. The truck was returned within 28-30 hours but I was forced to pay for 72 hours of use.When we rented the truck we were told that we would not be charged until the truck is returned but the money was put on hold immediately. Same concept..... In talking to an associate at one of the locations we were told that an adjustment would be made once the truck was returned to reflect unused time and miles. Afterward we were told that we were misinformed and that we would not be reimbursed as it is company policy to charge for 72 hours by default. It's a ripoff! This company is a ripoff and should be ashamed of yourself! WE ALL suffered from COVID and the shift in the economy. Why are we being punished for your loss of profit?! WHY?! I have asked for a refund for the unused days and miles with no success. One of the employees even scoffed at us in ridicule. Uhaul has no respect for us as the consumer. Our dollar means everything to them while our loyalty and their integrity means absolutely nothing. I detest your existence and hope you get what you deserve. What a bunch of scammers!! I will do all I can to NEVER have to utilize your services again.

Also, someone was NOT using the ramps strictly for loading or unloading and was parked there without loading/unloading like they were there to tend to their storage or help someone else which mada an elderly, handicapped person "deal with his/her rudeness". Signs should be added above the loading/unloading that they are for loading/unloading only. 2. Sunday closing of the sliding door at 5:00 PM was a hassle. I expected it to be the same as other days.

Please consider how time efficient and safer it would be if the outdoor access for Ubox access on the premises had a canopy and had direct light shining at the boxes after office hours. By safer I mean being able to ensure you can be seen if you trip on a bus or trip due to the pavement having grooves shaped in it for the path of traffic. It is great getting fresh air and accessing the UmUboxes on your premises, which is set up for this product to be placed and moved upon. Another idea is a small portable chain fence placed around the Uboxes in case a dog or squirrel wonders over or a box rolls out while accessing the unit. Thank you for the services and staff!

I am a business owner and I lost my keys. I contacted the staff and inquired about getting the locked removed immediately and purchasing new lock. According to the staff member I was told that the manager said I had to wait 5 days before uhaul would remove the lock. After stating over and over my immediate need for the lock to be removed, the ultimatum was given to me to call a locksmith or wait 5 days for uhaul to remove the lock. Needing immediate access, I was forced to call a locksmith smith at the cost of 254 dollars, so I canceled my contract with you uhaul and will never deal with uhaul anymore or anywhere. I am a business owner and have a 24 hour need for access for my storage.

Not only did she not prorate and refund me she never even stopped my contract when I moved out so I got charged again the fallowing month. I had to call my bank to dispute the charges. To top all of that I reserved moving blankets with my truck a few days before picking the truck up. It wasn't untill after I got the truck and walked to the truck to find they didn't put any in it. They told me they didn't have any which meant I had to scramble to find something to protect my stuff for the move. I would NEVER recommend this storage facility or even to pick up a truck from them.
