All the employees were efficient and helpful. The truck was awful!!!! The seats were broken, the visor was hanging by only one end obscuring the drivers view, the arm rest was missing, etc etc. The back gate was extremely hard to open and I got 4 miles to the gallon of gas. Is this typical mileage for a 10' truck? The employees were apologetic, but that should not be their job. They should be proud of their rental units.KIN W.
The gentleman who worked there was very nice but all I did was hand him my keys. I was not there when he checked the vehicle. I was charged an extra $22 for gas which I shouldn't have been because I filled the gas exactly to where it was supposed to be. The dealer was very busy at pickup, but still courteous. They were excellent when I returned the equipment. My biggest aggravation was with the national organization who changed my pickup location twice including the morning of schedule. That was frustrating.Elliot A.

I did have an issue with the previous drop off place on Russell Av. which is where I was supposed to drop off the truck originally. When I got there around 6pm, I was told I could not park there because they are actually renting the Uhaul parking space to spectators of the football game who are willing to pay to have their car parked next to stadium. They said they sent emails to customers, which I did not receive. I was told to drop off the truck at Haul Washington Blvd, which is 15 mn or more away, especially because of the game traffic.Alexandra V.

Gas tank was incorrectly recorded at pickup. I didn't notice it. I drove it 8 miles for a total of 25 minutes of engine time. I put one gallon of gas in the tank. I was charged for 4 gallons of gas. In my opinion UHaul stole that money from me. That is poor business.Michael S.

The three employees working there yesterday on 8/4 were exceptional. Friendly, informative, I wish I got their names. They were exceptional employees who clearly love their jobs. I was charged for 6 gallons of gas and only traveled 10 miles. I returned the vehicle and the gas was exactly where it was when I picked the vehicle up. I spoke with a representative who said they would refund the gas and the charge fuel charge. It has been a month and I was never refunded the money. This was the second location we had to visit to get a trailer. The first one had the trailer that we picked up the night before but a lost air due to a screw in the tire. They found another trailer not far away but it delayed our move 3.5 hours. This location was very busy as it was the end of the month but having a good attitude and being nice pays off as the employees responded and were kind and helpful.Shawn L.

Something I've noticed over several recent rentals - vehicles issued with warning lights on. Checking with staff takes time away from the work I rented the vehicle for. Staff was very helpful, but still feel uneasy driving a vehicle with a warning light on (even if the staff is aware of the problem)Juan F.

One of my boxes didn't ship with the other, but one call took care of it immediately, boxes were delivered together, and thanks to your packing tips and large number of moving blankets (48!!!), nothing was broken or damaged. I person is always better than after hours because the people at the Washington Blvd are customer service top notch 95% of the time and I get they are human but I am usually always pleased when i can do in person check in and check out it just the fact that is customer service is a priority then you get good service in person. and this was the first time that after hour return the truck was smooth transition didn't have to call customer service to return the van. Payton was the most professional uhaul employee I've ever dealt with. If she's not a manager, she should be. It is rare to have such excellent customer service. The main issue I had revolved around communication. When I initially reserved the container the staff informed me that I would be able to *simply* change the delivery address when the address was more registered. It was new construction. However, I had to call customer service several different times to get my ubox container delivered to my established address. There were no issues with the customer service representatives specifically as they were polite and professional. But it took about four different phone calls for the issue to finally get resolved. One customer service representative said he needed to contact his manager and just never called me back. Another kept pushing me to go pick it up myself and didn't understand how that was not part of the initial plan and how it would actually make matters more difficult. So while I did recieve my items at a later date than expected it was just more frustrating that no one seemed to know what to do.tiffany N.

Phenomenal staff and atmosphere. Great business. The 26' truck was a beast - a good thing - in hauling a full load, and rode like a car. Not my first rental from U-Haul and certainly not my last.Ross M.
First off, everyone at the Washington Blvd Uhaul was great. Very friendly, and helpful. None of this was their fault, and they were excellent. That said, this overall experience was a pain. This wasn't the location I chose; despite having a reservation elsewhere, I got a call late the night before I was supposed to pick up the truck telling me the size I reserved (15') wasn't available at all, unless I was going to drive 50+ miles to pick it up, with no mention of the per mile charge that would rack up. Then the 10' truck I was eventually given had to have its rear door tied closed with a bit of bungee cord, since the latch was broken off. Not awesome.John F.
My last 2 experience June 4 and June 18 were horrible due to after hour pick up and drop off I mean horrible the after hour process needs a complete overhaul. i was on the phone for a total of 2 hours after calling back 3 times to get someone to help with the process the online site is extremely slow and inadequate. I was on hold for truck share assistance the first time 45 minutes and then their system hung up on me and the second time 92 minutes and the same on june 4th the system while trying to get thru the after hour pick up it cancelled my registration. I had to go thru customer service 2 times to get it fixed both times I had an early morning next day travel and final got vehicle well after my pick up time which i still had TO LOAD UP both times the system stressed me out it was frustrated and i need after hour pick up because both times i was getting off late couldn't pick up on lunch time because i only get an hour and the drive is 30 minutes away. The location has improved greatly and are very support as long as you don't get there right when they are closing you will not get help even if they still on the premises off means strictly off NO HELPPPP!!!! other than that pick up and drop off during business hours they are awesome beyond that they need to fix and improve customer service via phone and online and chat sucks and definitely improve update after hour pick up for this location.Valerie H.

I want to provide a shout-out to the employees at this U-Haul, as I always had exemplary customer service experiences, but with that being said, it does not change my experience with this storage facility. Firstly, there was a miscommunication about which storage unit was mine, and the person who gave me my unit gave be a unit which did not match the unit I was assigned in the computer. This led to future confusion and stress as I had paid my rent, but there was a lock on my unit door. I had to wait for 30-40 minutes for this issue to be resolved, and it caused me to not be able to access my unit that day. Additionally, there was a significant rodent problem within the unit that I had due to there being 2 mouse-sized holes which led to the units on either side of my unit. There was mouse poop crusted on top of my boxes, there was a significant amount of poop which was in each corner of the unit (where the holes to the other units were) and my kitchen box which had pots and pans in it was filled with at least 4 oz of mouse droppings and my belongings had been significantly damaged by the rodents chewing up my belongings and pooping on them. I had followed all directives to not store food, drink, perfume, hygiene items, scented candles, or cleaning supplies in my storage unit, and yet the mice still were in the unit. The woman who I had checked out of the unit with was incredibly kind and swept out the unit and cleaned the droppings up so that I would not have to, again, speaking to the customer service provided. But, based on the damages and miscommunication, I would never use this U-Haul facility again.Rebecca B. | Overall Experience
