I think there web site needs to be clear on location reservation before you actually reserve. I reserved in one location for convenience of timing only to get bumped twice to others, very disturbing and unprofessional.

Mobile check in took 45 minutes to get key and leave location. Called cooperate and they indicated I was all set, however onsite staff indicated they could not release me until I got I received a mobile message indicating I was all set for departure. Don’t appear that staff and corporate are in agreement with policies.

Didn’t realize that customer service is not valued and you can self check out and return a rental truck which is very time consuming. The staff that I did deal with were unemotional and not friendly. The preciseness with the fuel level with vague gauges was ridiculous and felt like I was going to get ripped off. Then I did not realize that uhaul puts a hold on your credit card and then charges you without releasing the original hold. I am currently charged twice until the system catches up but was quick to charge both times. So thankful that I do not need to use this service often as it was cumbersome and difficult.

I got the run around about a one month free storage I was suppose to get or that one of your employees misspoke about. That cost me hundred of dollars and I do plan on following up to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

Hi The truck front end was sloppy and was difficult to drive at times. The body had damage on it that showed the equipment was not maintained. However, worst of all, the truck electrical system had problems. After we left the facility, we found a battery charger attached to the battery. We removed it because the truck seemed to function properly. Additionally, the truck failed to turn over and start at a fuel stop on the thruway about 100 miles from Albany. As we were on a very tight timetable, we purchased jumper cables and paid someone to provide a jump to us. This is unacceptable. Please contact me to discuss further. 518 577 2200.

Sherman was an excellent car, however, his female co-worker and the manager was horrendous and their level of service was AWFUL. The female csr charged my credit card then deleted the transaction maliciously. I had to call and have Samanta Herrera adjust the contract and bill. I turned the vehicle in on the date agreed and Melissa Milner added charges to the account which were not originally there. The females should be fired. THEY ARE HIGHLY UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I locked the key in the ignition and they do not have spare keys. Road side assistance wants 125.00 and had no idea when they could come. Do NOT LOCK KEYS in cab. IT IS NOT WORTH THE CHARGE.

I ordered a cargo van for 4 hours. I ordered online prior to going to pick up ( like an hour or a half hour prior), got to the location and had to wait about 45 minutes, which was fine there was a lot of people ahead of me and the people at the counter were quick and courteous. I planned four hours for the rental, I got to the station around 10:30 so I planned to return around 2:30. I wasn’t checked in until about 11:15, so four hours would have made it 3.15. I got there around 3:00 to return and the person ensured me I was fine and didn’t need to wait. I walked away only to walk back and told him I preferred waiting. He told me that he already checked it and I was fine. I mentioned I was about 4 miles over what I estimated and he said they would adjust it at the same rate of .59c per mile. Shortly after I received my receipt and was charged almost another $30. I filled the tank back up albeit I was minimal that the van took as it was almost full still. I don’t understand why I would have been charged an extra $30 when I only paid $30 to begin with. I would like to be contacted. Order number 24407763

I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to pick up the van it took me 5 minutes to reserve online. If the store has a lot of scheduled reservations and it's the end of the month when many people are moving, needs to be more then 2 people up front. The van was clean and worked perfectly, the return process was very quick.

Very bad experience I waited over two hrs in the hot weather to find out there's was no keys and was sent to another location 4 miles away , then on return I was charged for the extra miles. Just bad experience all the way around.on arriving at the drop off location id to search for someone to take the return. Just bad customer service.

Staff very helpful and efficient. Hook up guys helped troubleshoot a lighting problem which turned out to be a bad fuse on my vehicle. They found and replaced the fuse at no charge and were very friendly during the entire process.

Although my experience with the location was fine and had no issues, it’s the overall service that’s disappointing. Everything up to the end went smoothly. When I returned the vehicle is were it went all wrong. I ended up having to extend my duration to return the vehicle on Sunday after hours. Monday I get an email saying their was damaged to the vehicle of which I needed to pay $118 additional.for a scratch that was less than 3”. This was my first time using the u-haul app and didn’t realize I was supposed to confirm and accept the pictures of the vehicle . Had I known that I would of used the app appropriately. Now, I need to pay for damages that I can’t prove where not me. I will probably never use u-haul again, very disappointing.

Picking up the trailer I had to hook up my own equipment while lot employees were off talking to one another. Wasn’t until I was all done did someone walk over and say “wut up my man”. A manager had to yell out from the office to get his attention to send him over. Upon return, 2 employees were hanging out and watched me detach the trailer while playing with their phones. When I said something inside the desk person said “yeah, it’s going to be all self service soon, U-Haul will do anything g to save a buck”. Is their the future of U-Haul? It’s pretty sad!

The staff takes pictures of your personal info - license on their personal phones. Truck I got into engine light was on and running rough... made my start time way late. I pull in with the truck get put start walking in and your staff asked me to vet back in the truck and pull it over to him. Then you go inside to check out and your told it will be checked in later and deducted from you account. You dont even know how much!! Extremely unprofessional!

I dropped off in Albany NY on Broadway. It was a quick and pleasant experience. I walked in and bumped into a guy. I asked where I had to go to turn in a trailer. He said that he could help me and we walked back out to the parking lot. He told me where he wanted it and I parked it there. He checked me in via his phone (or something like a phone) and I was off. It took about 8 minutes. Fabulous. The guy checking me in/out should get an honorable mention for his quick / polite handling of it. Thanks.

the 24/7 mobile check-in/out would not allow me to check the truck back as returned. I think the share your location feature as a requirement for returning the vehicle is a flaw. I was unable through my device to allow one website to have access to my location. With all the new changes to uhauls system (some very good), this made me a little fearful for my return status.

I have attached the paperwork from the NYC rental . Here's is what I expect: 1. Tolls higher truck versus Van. 2.Lock to secure Truck 3. More gas Truck versus Van. Total at least $ 46.00 to be credited back to my son's Credit card. Here's the things that I don't understand? Van reserved, given Truck, there were Vans sitting in the lot. More Tolls cost. No instructions on how to drive a truck and use the tailgate. Needed a lock. Reserved on my credit card, charged my son's, never explained. U Haul should be embarrassed by this situation. So, forward onto Corporate and let's get this reimbursement done.

Please don’t keep the dolly and furniture pads sealed in the truck. These take up space and take away from what can be loaded in, especially in a very inconvenient location at the loading door

It was so hard due to the lack of a dolly and other needs of which we weren’t aware to be available, we had to hire a last minute move company to come to the house and another to take everything off due to us moving to another state causing us to spend another $600. (Of which we can prove). Extremely disappointed!

I specifically reserved my Uhaul in the Albany area as a 9' cargo van. One day before my pick-up I was contacted and told that my reservation vehicle was changed to a 10' box truck. Following up on this I was told that it is their policy to only rent cargo vans for local trips. It is unacceptable to advertise a cargo van's availability while it is specifically against policy. I took a 400 mile trip today, uhaul+train, and would detour significantly for a cargo van. If your website+policies make that impossible to accomplish because of your dishonesty it will be tough to keep using uhaul.

-Make sure you don't give away reserved trucks. -Keep clean records and do not call me 3 times about a truck that has been returned for over a week. - Have functional elevators so customers don't get stuck on the 5th floor for 45 min repeatedly. - Elevator door will open and close at least 5-6 times before taking you up or down a floor, forcing customers to sit through deafening and continuous beeping

While the overall condition of the vehicle was satisfactory there was a problem with the front end which I didn't realize until getting to highway speeds. The steering tended to wander left or right randomly from dips and bumps in the road and/or especially when passing or being passed by tractor trailers. This made for a somewhat tense ride that at times was almost dangerous when trying to keep the vehicle tracking straight in the lanes. Two days of driving like this was unpleasant.

I ordered a van through the 24 seven option. The van was not available at the time I requested and I have still had to wait in line for a customer service representative. The van was a new were model clean and easy to drive. Drop off was a breeze

Had the what had to be the oldest van in the fleet. Passenger side mirror was broken, driver side sun visor was broke, fairly certain driver seat was not moveable. Movers said it was the worst van they had ever seen. In short, maintain your fleet.

Not sure when U-Haul switched over to those short ramps... but I don't like it. Go back to the longer ramp... adds flexibility and better loading angles for heavy items like a piano.

Overall this a good location, Uhaul's main facility in Albany. The only problem the day I dropped off the truck and auto trailer was that the large raer parking lot was closed for repaving.

The staff were unhelpful. Two were sitting on some flat stacked boxes chatting and joking, they could not be bothered to provide any assistance. One employee behind the register seemed seemed put out that she had to pause her own conversation to give me the key.

There was not enough staff working. I arrived at 9:15 and waited for one hour and 20 minutes becuase there was one cashier working. That is unacceptable. There were at least 20 parties in front of me. One more cashier was called in but you needed 4 people helping people. Poor management!

I will never use u haul ever again. They ripped me off when I picked up the truck they ripped me off about two weeks after I used the truck. Customer service was absolutely ridiculous. I will never use uhaul ever again. And I will never recommend u haul to any of my friends or family or anyone who asks about a moving company.

I did not have any furniture pads although I paid for them. The windshield was coming off and was taped on. I had to wait 30 MINUTES after getting my keys because I was blocked in.

Return staff was very helpful, but we showed up a peak time, pick up of trailer (in N.C. was also an issue because of staffing, single person on duty, printer broken. Don't get me wrong, staff did her very best for us, but it was a holiday and she was clearly struggling to keep up. I know it is expensive to keep more staff, at the cost of customer wait, but you also risk staff burnout. They were working hard and can clearly use more help.

When I was returning the vehicle, the area was overwhelmed with at least 15 vehicles. Vehicles were all over the place. There was only one employee processing these vehicles. . There should have been more support for that employee, which would have processed all those customers more quickly.

The storage area is sooo hot! Get a fan or air conditioner. Also, why don't they clip locks?! I had to pay over 100 USD to get my lock clipped by an outside locksmith. Why don't you offer that?
