The truck was old, and not in a good way. The truck leaked in the rain so some of our boxes got wet. It appeared that the engine may need some repair soon - the longer we used it the more the engine was heating up. Drop off was simple, other than that being entirely sure where to park the truck. The teammate who helped me during pick up was very friendly and efficient - but he needed help because it was just him and there were many people in line and we waited quite a while.

The staff handed me the keys, said the truck was out front and said good bye. There were two similar trucks out front, I had to check numbers to determine which was mine. As I drove away, I discovered the gas tank was not full as indicated on my contract but 1/8 down. No one had reviewed the basics so when I tried to adjust the outside mirrors, I wasn't able to. Finally, I had asked for 6 blankets and was charged for 6, but only a package of 5 was in the back. I should have insisted on a walk through. U-Haul should have insisted on a walk through. I have rented trucks in the past and they have always been exactly what I had asked and contacted for. Some staff training might be in order at this location.

The return location was not open which meant that I had to go back several times costing gas and time. That location was on Catherine street in albany

I was issued a truck with no gas, I didn’t realize it as there is the other gauge that shows your consumption and was confused when I picked it up. I took pictures of the the gas guard and mileage when I filled it but was told that wasn’t good enough. Second time I got burned here so that’s enough for me and anyone who asks me about U haul!! Nice staff but shame on your operating methods. No checks and balances !!

Costumer 33152706. This number has been recycled more than once. I received now my second bill with erroneous charges since my local rental May 28th, 2018 that bill was paid at the time of service for a charge of $64.49. About one week later I happen to be checking my email and found a bill from haul for over $1800 threaten collections if unpaid. I called uhaul and the charges stem from over 2000miles that were enter sometime after I return the truck. I put approximately 20 miles on the truck for in town rental. I had the truck about 7.5 hours that day, moving my belongings into uhaul storage rooms. Spoke with customer service and the manager the first issue was resolved. Now today I received yet another bill for the same customer number for $80.00. Called uhaul hold time very long will call back shortly. I seriously think this customer number is being recycled for whatever reason. Very troublesome experience...please be careful. check your email,check the mileage, and keep our receipt

The pricing was a little confusing given the original reservation was $19.95 but a higher mileage rate versus what I was charged with 100 free miles but a lower mileage rate. Also when I provided the information at check in the estimated cost was about $50 lower

Car dolly was hooked up to my truck but when checking the directionals, they didn't work because dolly wiring harness was broken - had to find another one, unhook the one that was faulty and hookup another one (kind of a PITA) The kid working the yard was helpful and polite.

The employee who helped me because I was having trouble with checking in electronically was so expedious, courteous and cheerful when she helped me. Moving is a pretty stressful experience, and she was just so helpful and made getting my rental so easy!

Pick up wait at 7:30 am was too long. You appear to have lots of reservations based on the line that firmed behind us. The woman at the counter had a problem so the rep took off with the weekend man and a man came in 5-10 minutes later.

Pickup had 1/4 tank do gas. Had to fill it and returned with 1/2 tank. Didn’t receive any credit or anything. I know this is just a gimmick with how U-Haul gets more money from people. But it is a shame.

Review whether the truck has already the additional supplies that were included in the original order (e.g. covers, dolly). In my case, when I picked up the truck, the supplies were not there (despite the instructions provided online).

My only suggestion would be on weekends landing near the 1st of the month and 15th of the month (move in/out dates for most rental properties) I would have 3 or more associates at the check in counters between the hours of 8-11. I used mobile check in but sadly there were at least 14 others waiting in line who did not.
