The interior of the truck was dirty, there was axle grease on the seatbelt, and on the steering wheel, they showed the gas gauge as half full when it was picked up, it was only 2/3 full, I dropped it off with slightly below 1/2 full and they marked it as 1/4 low and charged me for 7 gallons of gas, then did not answer their phone when I called with an issue, als or parking lot was blocked when I pulled in. I got double charged for gas. I filled exactly the same amount of gas used by me at the nearest gas station around the corner of this location. But they charged for gas even if they inspected the truck and verified for the gas just because they didn't receive my husband's text response for the mileage verification when he picked up the truck yesterday. The clerk said only the store manager can reimburse this over charge. I left a phone message on his cell phone right away but there was no response from him. The fuel level was much lower than what was indicated on my contract. I took a picture and uploaded it to your site to show where the level actually was. I drove the truck for 18 miles and put 2 1/2 gallons of gas back in it which brought the level up above where it was when I started. When I checked my charges I was hit with a charge $50 for 10 gallons of gas. How could I possibly burn 12 1/2 gallons when I only drove 18 miles?!!John L.

Great service and experience! The only hiccup was I returned the equipment on time, but I was charged an extra day. I called and was assured they will refund the second day, I hope that is right! They were very busy when I was dropping it back off, so the employee actually checking in the equipment may have been after it was scheduled due back.Brett P.
The vehicle itself was clean enough inside but the check engine light came on at one point and sounded terrible. The customer service was lacking, Our original agent was kind and helpful but they got us the wrong vehicle based on our own mileage check, then the person that got the wrong vehicle passed us off to someone else to go get the correct vehicle...making our wait that much longer. We returned the vehicle before 5pm and waited in line for someone to check us in...no one came and we found the agent a few minutes after five...they told us they were closed and would need to check ourselves in through the app. There were several people there that were very angry at the check-in process as we'd all arrived around the same time. The line was long and the directions were not clear. I was told at pick up to â€œmake sure to follow steps on return so the trailer doesn't get stolen, because if it gets stolen it's on you.â€ Okay, so there was questionable instructions and no locking mechanism. Somewhat rude when I arrived. I was almost turned away without even asking what I was there to rent. Associate processing my rental seemed more focused on her phone than getting me processed and was very distracted. Asking for the same information several times. Also did not appreciate my drivers license being photographed with her personal phone as well. Took over half an hour to finally get hooked up with my rental. Very long lines.julian H.
They were completely out of box trucks and dont release trucks more than a couple hours. Ed talked to me and allowed me to have a truck for 5 days. My car was being worked on and needed to get to work. Thankfully my car was fixed that same day and only needed the truck for a day. Thank you so much Ed for working with me. Love you guys. I have rented Uhaul's for years. But this time I rented 2 26' Uhaul's because my business of 30 years was dealt a death nail when the roof collapsed on my warehouse. I told them the circumstances and that I thought I would need for 3 days. It turned out to be almost 2 weeks due to not being able to find a temporary shop to sort the equipment. When I booked them they mentioned getting insurance since I was having so much bad luck. I decided to go for it to be safe. Due to my desperate times I didn't ask how much. Or was it explained to me, but when I saw the bill it said 90 dollars. Which I believed it to be for the duration of the rental not a Daily charge. Nor was I told there were 2 types of insurance available. They put me into highest one. I had to extend my rental to 2 weeks line I said because of difficulty finding a place. When I called to extend the contracts I then found out it was a daily charge for the insurance and I wasn't able to remove or Goto the cheaper one. Unless I returned them empty and rented them back again. So during the worst time of my life I lost my lighting and sound business to Covid and the final straw was the roof collapsed. So living off Unemplyment I was forced to spend close to 2000 dollars to rent the trucks. I tried asking for Any Type of discount to help me but was immediately shut down and to have a nice day. I am severely disappointed with the lack of compassion and professionalism I received with Uhaul. I have rented trucks for my business from you every year for 30 years. None of the employees working the day I picked up my truck were wearing masks consistently. I saw three separate employees pull up trucks for customers without masks on. I even saw one employee wipe his nose on his bare hand and then continue working without washing or hand sanitizing. It wasn't even a little COVID safe. The rental vehicle I used was in decent condition. I understand there is quite a lot of movement of vehicles and a high volume of customers seeking rental vehicles at this location however just a bit more cleanliness of the vehicle cabs would be nice. I noticed what seemed to be food crumbs in and around the cup holders of the unit I rented. I also noticed the gage cluster clear plastic had several cracks in it. The cracks weren't obscuring the views of gages. I also noticed the vehicles oil life percentage was at 0% oil life remaining. Maybe it wasn't reset? Overall good.Robert S.

Found out the Right turn signal didn't work after we completely loaded it up, brought it to the UHAUL on boundary road and they tried to fix it by they said it was an internal issue so it would need to be returned to the original place of pick up, I took it as is. The individual who ensured it worked when I originally picked it up looked like he was hung over, so I doubt he even made sure it was good. Terrible!NICHOLAS M.
I was charged 3x what I should have been charged by this branch. They threw on charges for an extra day (I only had the truck for one day), a refueling service charge for returning the truck with less than a quarter tank, which I did not and have photos to verify, and charged me for 8 gallons of gas when I only drove 14 miles. When trying to get these charges removed, the representative told me I had to come in and personally show them the photos to "prove" that I returned the truck with more than 1/4 tank, and that there was no way to send those digitally. He was unwilling to fix of sham charges they had tried to stick me with, so I called the corporate line and they were able to fix and refund things without any hassle. Customer service wasn't great. Took a long time to get the vehicle and it wasn't busy. They didn't have the vehicle up front for a long time either. To me it makes sense to tell the guy to grab it as soon as we are starting the process. Not wait till after I've paid and I'm walking away to ask them to bring it up. So we waited for a long time and then had to wait longer for the iced over uhaul to come up front and then again to warm it up so it was safe enough to see well and drive.Brandon C.

I was then informed that access to storage on my side is only until 7 pm? I still don't know if that's true but the fact that there is confusion about whether or not I can get to my unit at the quote AND EMAILED time 5am to 10pm pisses me off. I will not be getting a 2nd month and I will move my business elsewhere. My code did not work so the girl gave me a new code. That one worked, but it should never have even been an issue. We showed up eight minutes after five and we're not allowed to return our vehicle inside. We were told we had to do a self return. I don't know if it was because of the location of the building or the fact that it was 7Â° outside but neither my wife nor my phone could get signal enough to identify our location during the self checkout process. This would not allow us to move any further in the self checkout process. After 35 minutes of attempting to check ourselves out using your app to no avail, we went inside and were rudely greeted by your staff who then took our key and walked away.Corey H.

When returning the vehicle, i waited outside the drivers side. One of the guys working there approached me, but with no eye contact and not walking directly towards me. Hi so I reserve a storage where I have an access for 24 hours and when I got there they didnt even know I had a storage unit reserved and on top of that i thought when u sign up reserve we get free automatic pad locks? I have to pay for the lock waited and greeted with unpleasant attitude but thats fine because it seems like the guy was having a bad day and hard day. So i was wondering if The one i signed up and reserved to have an access for 24hours is available because thats why i rented the uhaul so I can go back and fort. The young man working the front desk lacks in customer service skills. I feel that he is not knowledgeable about the storage options and he did not provide clarity about location of the unit we rented and did not mention that uhaul had their own locks on the unit. The person that answered the phone when we realized we could not access the unit due to being locked, was very helpful and had someone come unlock the unit for us very quickly. If you want a square to put your belongings in, Uhaul has expensive rooms for that. If you want to wait forever in line, Uhaul knows how to waste your time. If you wanted to be offended, Uhaul hires the best customer service people for that. I’ll tell you, if I am providing you a good amount of money for a weak service, and your employees give me any attitude (hateful female I have encountered twice), or do not make me feel valued as a customer; I will create accounts around the web and make this review noticed. You want to waste my time, charge my card and hold my money, and then when I call to speak with the General Manager, Steve Womack doesn’t answer. What a disgrace to the Uhaul community. My experience with Uhaul storage was perfect until the day I moved out. I had reserved a 10' truck to move out my belongings on the last day of my billing cycle. The reservation was for a return trip with a base cost of $19.99. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was told by the Asst. Mgr there were no 10' trucks to rent, that Uhaul had overbooked. I was then told there was a 10' truck but it was only for one ways and it would be $118 and I'd have to drop it off at another Uhaul location. I was not going to pay $100 more for a truck especially b/c this was not my fault. Nor did I have the time to drop the truck off on the other side of town. I instead started unloading my storage with my car but because the location closes at 7 I had to return the next day to finish. The Asst Mngr said I wouldn't be charged for the next month since I was now on day 1 of the next billing cycle, but I was charged and had to speak with a Uhaul rep (Raymond - who was excellent!) about reversing the charges. I had to take off the 1/2 half of this day from work in order to empty the storage unit as well. Lastly, when I asked about the $50 guarantee that's posted on your wall behind the counter, I was told my reservation didn't qualify because of the overbooking. This makes no sense. I made a reservation - the reservation was not fulfilled. It caused me all sorts of trouble, but the guarantee isn't valid because you overbooked? I have worked as a Logisitics Manager the past decade and have both used Uhaul for personal moves as well as for work related moves. I'll be hesitant to put myself in the same position with the company going forward and will be looking at other options.Jeff F. | Overall Experience
