I came to drop my 6*12 trailer and the two guys on the counter where attending to customers lined upâ€¦ I asked if they had someone to unhook the trailer from my SUV and one of your employees battled barked at meâ€¦â€ we will come out when we canâ€¦ we have people we're attending to â€œ I simply went out , unhooked my car and waited while one of this guys were hooking someone's car up with another trailer and I told him I just unhooked the trailer from my truck. He said ok. I transaction receipt was sent to me later electronically and they double charged me for a single rental. I made multiple calls to have them remove this charges that are reflected on my bank account and am still waiting for the extra charge to be reimbursedâ€¦ Simple situation that could have easily been fixedâ€¦ sucky customer service and attitude!Emmanuel G.
They could have been doing their best because they did have little staff but they didn't go through the paperwork at all with me. They just asked me to initial and sign things and I was overcharged for things I didn't want. The dolly I ordered was not in my truck. The person who I asked to get it inside just pointed me to the direction they were in. I was at the location for 45 minutes trying to check the rental out and the general manager messed up my reservation. He changed my reservation from 2 days to 1 and put the wrong return date. I recently used a Home Depot truck. It was dirty and the ramp was difficult to operate. The UHaul vehicle in comparision was clean, drove well and the ramp worked smoothly. The employees were helpful and pleasant. The location was well organized and easy to navigate. If I need a UHaul in this area again, I'll choose this location. Recommend.Michelle B.

The next day I got a text saying they changed the location but didn't say where, and the order online didn't change. I called the original place, Ruddy's in forest lake mn and the very helpful and nice woman there called u haul to get it straightened out for me. I was frustrated that going online didn't work. We were shocked with the lack of customer service and help using this location. We are unsure if we will ever use Uhaul again after this experience. We were told they could no longer deliver our containers the day before we planned to receive them. They made the end of a cross country move very difficult and stressful. I thought after paying almost $3,000 to a company like Uhaul that we would have been treated much better. Kristi or Christi from this location had some of the worst customer service I have experienced. She was rude, and unhelpful. We were very disappointed with our experience.Emily D.

Guy that rang me up was unable to find your Two Harbors, MN U-Haul location at which I was dropping trailer off. I showed him where I found it on Google Maps. Read him the address. He said "I'm not finding it." So when I returned the one-way rental to the dealer in Two Harbors, was charged an additional $10 for returning it to the "wrong location".Kelvin O.

TOTALLY CRAPPY SERVICE!! My problem isn't with the Blaine location but with the corporate or whoever was handling the billing. The Blaine store has always been helpful in working with me. I spent over 2 hours on the phone in two separate attempts to get things corrected. Both times I ended up disconnected. Tried the live chat and got dumped out when they apparently thought I was finished. Could not trigger a transcript of the conversation. Clicked on the link and nothing happened. My card was billed twice in same day for $291.09 for storage. Storage had already been billed automatically each month so there was no reason to bill for storage at the pickup time and certainly not twice. I want a refund for this amount and I don't want to have to wait for it for some days either. You took it out of my account and I want it back in my account NOW. Call me at 612-396-6443Patricia G.

I realize now that UHaul closes at 5;00 on Sunday, but the person who took the order said it would be open ... the original order was for Monday and that made the early pick-up on Sunday ... just a miscommunication regarding pick-up.patrick M.

The online check in / check out accomplished the goal of picking up before / dropping off after store hours. But it took 20 minutes for both out and in. Once the UHaul app was stuck for 5 minutes while it switched from the downloaded U-Haul app to the truck app.Gary F.

I picked up the truck and brought to the storage room to load my stuff along with two movers that I had rented for two hours. Upon opening the trailer/truck, we noticed the previous person who used it left about 20% of their load in the truck. Time wasn't on my side to return the trailer as movers were already on the clock. So we had to unload the stuff that were in the trailer and then loaded my stuff. I was on hold for an hour with uhaul rep trying to rectify the situation. After loading all my stuff and unloading them at my house, I had to cut the movers and go back to the storage facility and load the previous person's belongings back in trailer and return the truck. I finally returned it and bought more gas because I had to make an extra trip to the storage facility to load things that didn't belong to me. I complained and I was told I'd get a measly $50 refund back on my card. That was almost two weeks ago and I've yet to see the refund. This was painful, stressful and expensive move.Daniel A.

The trucks were comfortable and seamed to be good on gas . I especially liked the way you can run the cat walk right up to were you are moving . The trucks are lower to the ground so you are not so high like a dock truck . I really liked the 26 ft truck over to 20 ft , but both were good. So my 2 Weeks of moving from the city up north was made much easier working with U Haul. Everyone that I worked with was very nice and helpful.Brent P.

On the day I went in to pick up the uhaul and put stuff in the storage. The lady who was serving was very aggressive and angry at the person who went to help get the uhaul and also aggressive and angry at me. When I approached her about it she said she was joking at the staff, then she began angrier and canceled my service. Because I didn't have enough time to search for another uhaul location, I decided to retake the storage and uhaul. On the next day, when I went to the storage to put stuff in it, the door couldn't open. Then I went to the staff to get help from them but, no one was available to help me to open the storage door in that cold and freezing weather, so I returned all the stuff that were in the car. My experience with the owner of the Blaine location over what should have been a simple billing issue was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a business. I wasn't able to even fully explain the situation I was seeing with multiple credit card charges/double billing before breach of contract and auctioning my items were mentioned, and further efforts to try and actually explain the situation were met with an aggressive tone, immediately cutting me off mid sentence and not allowing me to explain the full situation. This experience is THE specific reason I moved out of both storage units we had rented. Bad: Key card never worked so just had to push button until someone opened it. Told to wait > 30 minutes for locksmith (and I paid $50) and when he did not show employee drove to storage unit and cut off lock in 5 minutes. Should be standard offering and who kept my $50. Some employees to busy to be pleasant or helpful. Customers bother them. Days after we called to verify they knew we were out of the unit, we still got a e-mail for a bill to continue. Most of my items were damaged and had rat poop and dead rats in my storage. Even though that wasnt the big reason I couldnt pay for the storage units, it was very disgusting and did make me very angry. Personal things caused me to fall behind on my storage and I apologize and never was my intention to bail or not pay for my storage but very disappointed with how the storage units were not taken care of. When I have the funds, I do plan to pay my debts but right now, I am barely making ends meet. It may seem weird I would give a poor experience when all the bullet points say yes, but here is the deal, was the staff friendly, yes, but it took four people to get the simplest thing done, the first gentlemen was very friendly, but couldn't do one thing right, the second person helped him a little, then walked away leaving him once again to struggle, a third person joined the struggle, but he too left when things got too complicated, finally it took one young man to take over and complete the task of taking my online reservation to rent a storage and make it happen, but this poor soul was running the entire show at this facility, it was like he was the only person that could get anything done right. Even after he had completed my transaction, the card he gave me wouldn't open the gate, and I had to wait and additional 15 minutes just to interrupt the young man who was helping someone else and tell him my card wouldn't open the gate. Rented in march, had an accident 2 days later, so I never set 1 foot into the unit. It sat empty. So I went yesterday to close account and asked for a receipt to close account. Walked away without. Got yelled at saying it would be emailed. I also was required to purchase a u haul lock which I removed and tried to return in original packaging. I don't know what to say. My 24hr access didn't seem to ever work the last 3 month which made it impossible for me many times. Moving out could have been done on time had my gate access card worked. Very difficult to get moved out of storage in a timely manner when the best time to move is evening / nite time hours and you can't get in to your unit. The staff was great; always friendly and helpful. We had three units for approx 9 months; spanning summer through spring. We were storing all our personal belonging from our home after we sold our home and were looking for a new one. All three units were outside. Unit One's plastic sheeting along the ceiling was 'flaking' and left everything in that unit extremely dirty. Unit Two had water on the floor at one point. We are assuming from the ceiling?? It caused an excess of humidity which ruined several items and required lots and lots of extra cleaning. For example, I had a Rock Salt lamp that sweated and left a salt residue all over the box it was in. Premium boxes that were supposed to last for several moves, caved in on themselves due to the humidity resulting in boxes we couldn't restack when moving, and damaged items. Unit Three had mice issues. Everything had to be sanitized; they climbed into the holes that you use to carry the boxes and had feces in 95% of the boxes. This unit housed all of our kitchen items, so probably had food smells which I'm sure attracted them as well. I spent weeks sanitizing every item I could, and threw away what I couldn't... that included linens, kitchen electronics, furniture, etc. We lost a lot of things. One thing to note is this unit is on the outside of the property which is next to a tree line, so we are assuming that is why we had issues with that one. We opted to go with the outside units because we wanted to save money. We have never used storage before and thought it would be fine. We were wrong. If we have to move again, we would never consider this as a viable option. That being said, the staff was great and very helpful.Alison S. | Overall Experience
