The first truck I was provided was not turning on at the uhaul location. It took 30 minutes for the rep to find a new truck that was working. When I returned the vehicle I was told I did not fill up the tank to the initial gas level. I had to show the uhaul rep a photos that I took when I first picked up the vehicle to prove that the gas levels were 1/4 of a tank.kanwaljit D.

The customer service over the phone needs a lot to improve how to manage customer request in case of critical need. Requested for couple of hours extension (paid for $19.95/day rate and avail for only 3 hours) and responded with $40 over charged for that. How rude it is, can't imagine!! And it is repeating incident. Once I overfilled the gas tank (worth of $25) by mistake and as a loyal old u haul customer I informed and asked for adjustment. Unfortunately it was not accepted. Anyway I have a feeling that U Haul doesn't care for it's customer. And it is a bitter truth !!Ali Z.
Reservations dept totally messed up my reservation. They did not state drop off location and out me and my family in an extremely stressful bind due to not communicating full information. Hello, this is the first time I was not satisfied with the rental. I have mentioned it before the inside of the windshield is NOT clean. It has this film and it's annoying against the sun shining in and opposite cars lights at night. It is difficult to drive! Also, this time I was given a van with two lights appeared on the dashboard. Engine light and tire light. The tire required air so the attendant filled it. But the light was still on. I noticed there's a bulge in the tire and asked will it blow up? He said yes it could. What a relief? Seriously not!!! The engine light was still on and didn't want to take any chances. I said aren't you supposed to maintain these vehicles? Requested another vehicle because I did not feel safe. Very disappointed this time around. ThanksTherese B.

Customer is charged if fuel is less than what it was when picked upâ€¦. BUT customer isn't credited if fuel Is more than when it was received, this is a one way street and with fuel prices being what they are and no way to accurately gauge how much to fill upon return , you err on the side of caution and overfill and end up easily loosing $20 unnecessarily. Either have all vehicles FULL or have a way to credit the customer for overfillingneal S.

Rate per km online at this location's website indicated $0.89 per km, I was charged $1.43 per km. The after hours return experience was a nightmare and took a very long time, the site couldn't recognize my location even though I had location services enabled. I had to call in to complete this, why bill me $20 for an after hours fee when I had all the admin work. Not happy with the overall charges and misleading cost information on their local website. When I picked up the van it smelled like cow dung. I was agitated but I just drove with the windows down for 2 hours, it wasn't pleasant. Upon returning the vehicle (after filling gas) I was approached by a rude girl working in the parking lot with absolutely no etiquette or customer service. She said I need to pay for gas even though I showed her my receipt. I was charged for that, I went inside to complain and the girl at the front office just smirked at me. My poor review had to do with my original reservation at 35 Van Kirk Drive Unit Number 17, Brampton. I chose the mobile option to obtain my van, but since the furniture dolly was not in the van, I was told to go into the store associated with that location, which was closed, even though it should have been open based on their own hours of operation. I then had to rebook my reservation at the 411 Main St N location. This wasted an hour of my time, and was not able to get a furniture dolly as there were none in stock. As I had little margin to get my move completed, this severely complicated my move. As a result, I doubt I will be using uhaul again, and will be using competitors when possible, such as home depot. To add insult to injury, I was charged over $90, where had I used home depot I would have spent closer to $50. You wasted my time and money. Extremely unprofessionalPiotr W.

Persons in the yard responsible for hookup needs further training. Trailer came unhitched from the truck after loading. This cost many hours of unloading and reloading. Not to mention this could have been a serious safety factor had it come unhitched at speed. Will definitely look at different rental companies in the future, and will not be dealing with Brampton location again.Kevin B.

Several problems. Check-in process takes way to long, and is a repeat of what I already did on line! Then the truck turned out to have an exhaust leak. Exchanged truck, then had to do the inspection process all over again. U-Haul is trying to make things more efficient by digitizing everything, but it's actually cumbersome! Took an hour to do everything and finally get on the road. A very painful experience indeed!Alan S.

I rented a cargo van without a reservation and was in and out in 15 minutes. I had use of the van from noon and returned it by 7pm the same day. The charges were exactly what was estimated and stated what they would be--no hidden surprises--which was nice! I was extremely pleased with MY entire rental experience. The only improvement I would suggest is that U-haul provide the option of having a transponder installed in the vehicles, to be able to use the 407 hwy in Ontario WITHOUT the potential of hidden surprises afterwards. To avoid any hidden or surprise charges I avoided using the 407 altogether, which added an extra half hour of sitting in traffic.marco T.

Upon waiting in line for 45 minutes, our SUV was smashed and dragged by a customer that rented one of your trucks. They decided to hit and then run after hitting and moving the suv approximately 5 feet. I guess he didn't feel the impact. Luckily your cameras did and will be used for insurance purposes. The young lady we dealt with in your yard was exemplary. I'm sorry I don't know her name but she was helpful, brought us inside to see the tape, and was empathetic to the fact that a customer hit our suv, knew it, and chose to leave. Lighting was terrible especially where upper units were located. Trucks were always parked blocking entrance way to storage units. Sometimes there were sketchy people waiting outside of the door trying to get in without a code.
