Overall the experience was good. With the app that they use to check the vehicles condition we did have to take many photos of the truck where there was already damage. I had to drive for over an hour to pick up a vehicle that I reserved over a month in advance for. This was even though there is a U-Haul location within 5 min. from my home. U-Haul waited until the day before pick up to inform me of this. U-haul refused to have the vehicle transported to their location that would be convenient to me. I even had to pull a huge favour from a friend to drive me to the pick up location. You are asking for an opinion about the location. I am responding about the organization, the company as a whole. My experience was not a good one. My rentals should have been ready for pick up by me, as promised, at the location convenient to me. Not convenient for you. I reserved in plenty of time for you to make the necessary arrangements. I can understand that unfortunate things happen, but your organization did not even offer any meaningful compensation for my inconvenience. I do not know if your company is having employee or management problems, but based on my recent experience, I would not recommend U-haul to anyone.bryan C.

The original pickup location was not open at the time we had scheduled the pickup. We had to scramble to find another location that had a truck available at that time. We wasted a lot of time and had to pay extra mileage as the location was further away from our home. The bill from the final location had a different startup mileage than the odometer (we took a picture of the odometer). It took a lot of time to get this corrected for our final bill.Ken C.

Extremely upset that it took about 30 mins to get into my locker. Not to mention you guys wouldn't take my bank card, so I then had to go get money out to pay for it. Also my original locker was locked and they didn't know why. They had to give me another locker. Also didn't realize that i had to go up stairs to get into the storage unit. It took 5 hours to unload our truck because of this. I understand it says you may have to go up a few stairs but that's extremely misleading as this is an entire flight of stairs. Also had to step down into the location which made things even more difficult to move. Also not to mention I couldn't even get close to the door, we had to park off to the side and was not able to use the ramp. Extremely disappointed in this storage location. Please ask your counter staff to be patient and listen to the customer first. Poor service just because of lady sitting at the counter. She was not respectful at alI l. I was given vehicle with 20 % gas and I returned at 22% gas. I drove exactly 18.6 miles (30kms) and filled 10 litres gas before dropping it off to the store. I was being yelled by the counter lady saying it should have been 1/4 th. I showed kms driven and my Petro-Canada gas receipts of $20 but she didn't listen and started shouting at me and my friend. I won't recommend u-haul to my friends and family for sure. You lost 7 customers today. 0 star, shame on your customer service.Abhijeet S.

I wasn't expecting an extra $20 charge for extra hour drop off. I wanted to reutne by 8PM but on contract it said, until 7am next day. There was a big line up and the movers were waiting at our place for the truck. We had to pay the movers extra 2 hoursâ€¦. Then I was charged $20 Extra. Everytbing adds up :(Ayesha F.

The gentleman that helped me to verify with my return was extremely rude. Need a lot of training on customer service and how to deal with people. He accused me of not putting gas in the vehicle. I drove all the way from Oakville and he said the gas was a little less. I had to explain to him 3 times that I put gas and offered to show him the receipt. I told him the gas is even more than what I pick it up. He repeatedly asked if I took picture. He was very rude and did not even say what he was doing. Kept looking at his phone all the time. After he said â€œyou're doneâ€. I've been to this location in the past and this is the first time I had this issue. Seems like dealing with people politely and being respectful is not priority here. Walked away feeling like I stole something from this gentleman. Anyways the gas was way above the line I picked it up at. Also the truck was parked on a small hill when I picked it up. Not sure if that throw off the reading. The associate did not give me a chance to explain. Very disappointed with this location. Seems their standard drop over the years. The fuel tank was on empty when I my brother picked it up. We put 30 dollars in the tank and drove to Etobicoke and back, 60 km. They thought it was full, because they try and do that as their policy, but someone was not doing their job. Like it was my responsibility to ensure the truck was full. It was never mentioned. They charged me anyway, for a full tank of gas as well as a service charge. 79.00 for nothing and waiting on hold with head office for no help. They yelled at my brother and hung up on him when he said someone wasn't doing their job. She yelled at me and said we can never use U Haul again. I considered taking them to small claims court because I have a 30.00 receipt for gas for their truck but I don't have time, it is logical that we spent the 30 getting to Etobicoke and back cause we only went 60 km, and they know that. That is about how much one would spend on a trip like that, it is basic math, and I would win in small claims court. Plus if it was full, there would still be about 3/4 of a tank remaining. Poor customer service, I had a hard time return the equipment as the website wasn't displaying the return aspect. Called customer services three times and it was a hassle. I've been renting for a few years now and for some reason it seems to be going downhill. This is the second time the vehicle was not up to par. Had to refill the air in the tire a few times in this vechile. Previous vechile had the same issue but also had the engine light on. Anyway, I still recommend and use u-haul but needs to be more reliable prior to picking up. Again, said this several times, inside the windshield is dirty and needs to be cleaned with winded. We booked a 20ft uhaul over a month before we were moving the day before we moved I got a phone call saying I could only have a 15ft truck I could not get everything in the truck we had to beg and plead to get someone with a truck help us move the rest of our things people need to know that the Size if their truck is downsized sooner than the day before and maybe when we book the uhaul we should be warned that we might not get the size of the truck we are want that was an extra cost for me that I couldn't affordNORMAN D.

The load in area needs to have a ramp you can move the trolly in and out within you don't have a truck with a ramp. I have trouble each time calling to get through to a staff member it takes so long. They are not courteous and put you on hold for a long time after answering and jot saying anything. Lighting was terrible especially where upper units were located. Trucks were always parked blocking entrance way to storage units. Sometimes there were sketchy people waiting outside of the door trying to get in without a code. I paid for this storage unit for a client as I'm a realtor. They were not happy at all when they couldn't access the unit. I had also asked if by chance the unit for the 3rd month could be shortened to the end of the first week as the client moved everything out Aug 8.
