Will never use U-Haul total windsor again. Racist, ignorant, and just all round awful. Rushed me out of my locker and had a client stand there and rush me.
Robert CI recently used U-Haul to help me move and I had an absolutely terrible experience. This was reminiscent of the ONLY other time I've used U-Haul and it seemed to confirm my frustrations (was promised a truck at a location 10 minutes away, ended up having to Uber for 90 minutes because the truck was no longer available and that was the closest location). This time around, I made a mistake when booking the truck and movers, accidentally choosing April 8th instead of the 15th. I realized within a few minutes and corrected it right away. However upon picking up the truck, I was told that the date for the truck pickup had updated but not the movers. So instead of having movers from 915-1215 on the day that I had booked off from work, I was left scrambling to find new help at a premium rate. The only options available were double the price or more. Instead of the company with several reviews that I had heard of before, I had to settle with a company I was unfamiliar with. While they were helpful, I was frustrated because they were only available at 530pm and instead of being able to load and offload my items within 3 hours, they were only able to load the truck. This meant that I had to extend the time I had the truck, book off another day of work and hire ANOTHER set of movers for the following day. On top of spending more money and missing more work than anticipated , I was not provided with the equipment I had asked for. I really hope that I can be given a discount or have some fees waved due to the huge blunder on U-Haul’s part. I had to spend almost $400 more on extra movers and time with the truck. I also missed out on a days pay. I look forward to hearing how this will be resolved. Thank you.
Abi WI first reserved for a location pick up 2 weeks or more prior to pick up date. The day before they changed my location to this one. I made reservations for specific equipment and when I arrived I learned that equipment is “first come first serve” so I didn’t get all I requested. What is the point of the reservation? Then the price was different than what I was told online and the answer was “the website is wrong”. Customer service was poor. I specifically asked to do a check in with a person and not online hoping to get more help and walk throughs. When my father and I went outside to collect the truck, no one was there to meet us. We waited. And waited. Even when we were inside checking in another customer also said no one was outside to help and they just said “no he is out there”. So we then searched all the trucks for the license plate given to us. Once we found the truck, then someone asked if we need help finding the truck, we said we found it and then he left. Didn’t even come to the truck for a walk through. And items I did not request were inside the truck.

Jennifer MI put it $30 gas by mistake instead of $10, that I actually use for 30Kms. And returned with more gas, they are supposed to be giving refund for that. But I didn’t get.

STEPHEN AWhen U-haul called me the day before to confirm my rental, they told me my original pick up location was only opened from 6am - 10am. My rental was for 11am and the lady on the phone told me it will be a mobile pick up. When I arrived to my original pick up location at 11:00am (62 Commerce St Barrie), I went on the u-haul app the start the pick up process, but I kept getting a prompt that said it wasn't set up. I then called u-haul and waited on hold for over 30 minutes and one person said the manager at the location forgot to set up my rental for mobile pick up and that the keys were inside the business that was closed. The call got cut and I had to call back when another man picked up and helped me right away. Told me to go to a different location in Barrie and gave me a $50 credit for all my troubles. This location on Dunlop street was no trouble and got my rental within 5 minutes. I was grateful for the man on the phone for helping me after going through 3 different people, but I wish the pick up process would have been smoother as I wasted 2 hours just trying to pick up the rental.
Rita APickup and drop off process was handled quickly and efficiently. All U-Haul staff were efficient, polite and friendly making the overall experience excellent. I will definitely use and recommend this location in the future!! Well done!

Wijesinghe MOne thing that we did notice, is that the person who checked us in, was a little difficult to understand, and was not the most friendly. She wasn't rude or anything like that, and did do her job, we just didn't get the " warm fuzzies" that might have made the experience a little better.

Jaskanwar SI filled the entire tank of fuel but they charged me 172.47 for the fuel. I was lucky that I took photos of the full fuel tank after filling. I complained to Uhaul for that and Uhaul refunded my money. Same thing happened with my friend. He asked me to take pictures of the fuel tank and the cleaned truck because this location charged him even though he did everything he was suppose to do.

SilverLine MWhen somebody is picking up your equipment you have to provide the proper instructions. Your representatives are just having fun, gossips and talks with each other. They don’t give you proper information. I picked up a cargo van and they just told me the rental rates and ask for the estimate milage and got charged around 47$ and told me that the access usage i will be paid extra. When i returned they said there is a Distance charges extra and the fuel charges are extra and i only used 4km extra and they charged me 30$ for that. How scam this place is. They have only one community people when they don’t have answer to your questions. They start talking each other in their language. English is not mandatory there. Ask everything and tell them to give you all in written. Otherwise you will be scammed for extra dollars.

The fire alarm has been on low battery, doing that annoying beep the entire time of our storing stay. Heard it non stop loading in the unit, non stop moving out. Staff were not friendly or knowledgeable when we first arrived.

My pickup location I wanted over 20 mins outside in the sun for rhe rep to open the door and assist no one was at the office. I called your customer and was given $50 off my renta and when I dropped off my renta they did not apply the $50 off but told to call customer because the rep did not put it on. The rep I think his name was Bryan...when he came in he looked half a sleep no apology made he just act like he did not care. I was very upset because I have some deadlines to meet and my while day went bad after due to getting the truco very late. The Dropbox off location was ok ....no problem

I always expect that things will take a long time when I go to this U-Haul. I cannot be in a hurry. I came today to change my storage unit from a big one to a smaller one. Before I could start to empty, I was told by an associate to go tell the cashier to sign me out of one storage unit first. So I lined up for 10 minutes just to find out by the cashier that I could have emptied my storage unit and filled the new one and then lined up to see the cashier to complete the transaction. Too much time wasted.

They don't show you the unit until after you pay which not good. steep stairs to go to units they need to make better access for people that can't go on stairs. I have used this location in the past for moves never really had too much issues but yesterday I was pretty disappointed.

Also my original locker was locked and they didn't know why. They had to give me another locker. Also didn't realize that i had to go up stairs to get into the storage unit. It took 5 hours to unload our truck because of this. I understand it says you may have to go up a few stairs but that's extremely misleading as this is an entire flight of stairs. Also had to step down into the location which made things even more difficult to move. Also not to mention I couldn't even get close to the door, we had to park off to the side and was not able to use the ramp. Extremely disappointed in this storage location. Will never rent storage at this particular uhual location again.

I have trouble each time calling to get through to a staff member it takes so long. They are not courteous and put you on hold for a long time after answering and jot saying anything. Sometimes there were sketchy people waiting outside of the door trying to get in without a code. My storage unit would have water in it every time the snow melted - there is a leak coming in from the right side of unit by door.
