The cab and box of the truck were clean but the condition of the vehicle poor. Issues: poor brakes, ABS light goes on and off, left headlight out, alignment needed, door side panel loose, hazard lights stops when reversing, filled gas $140 because vehicle needs running, exterior damages also noticable. People straight up refused to take the auto transport back (that trailer thing to tow car) without even listening, then again Kim from Dartmouth location helped me here as I called her regarding that. After talking to Kim, they agreed to take to auto transport back but refused to help me at all to take my car off form that thing. People were arrogant and did not care about customer service at all. There was few other people waiting for help but employees were ignoring them. I hate this location.Balraj S.

It was hard for me to check in the van the process should be simple for people that are disabled and not computer.. Also the bill should be more detailed. It's not clear what I'm paying for . But over all it's was an ok experience.DONNAK C.

I reserved a truck online in advance. Then get call saying I need to return it to my pick location (3 hr round trip) but it will be $50 off. That barely covers the gas for the return trip, let alone the time. Then the day of I go to pick up the truck and the online check in says "no equipment assigned". I had to go inside and wait in line by time I get out now I am hour behind. The truck in the pictures is in good shape when in reality the truck has scrapped down both sides and the license plate is missing, has a paper one taped on in a bag. No clear direction provided for the return either to indicate that would need to take a bunch of pictures before returning the key. Overall, the worst experience I have had in renting a U-Haul.CHARLESDALE C.

At the time of drop, I was attended by a lady executive named Hyde (I think that's the name) who provided a terrible service. The executive falsely accused us of spilling white paint in van without providing sufficient evidence. Second, we were to be charged for 300+ Kms when our actual mileage was less than 50 km (as per documented records). The executive had an intimidating behaviour & was not at all helpful. I would like to seek a clarification from U-Haul on the matter & what steps will be taken in response to the unprofessional behaviour.ankit S.

Customer service is poor. Defect was reported at the time picked up vehicle but I was told by the Lady that I did demage(scratch) right mirror was also broken but wasn't sticker. I reported that as well. I have pictures and showed to the Lady but she didn't want to see and talk about it. The booking and picking up the Truck/equipment should be simplified to remove repeated processes like entering all the personal info online and then again need to upload documents when we go to pick the truck, Instead, the agent in the office could have scanned the document, instead of sending me the link to connect to the website again and upload the picture. The vehicle was not smooth to operate, the break and steering were so hard that their response times were so bad that could cause accidents. the truck was not serviced regularly.LOKESH KUMAR K.

pickup truck is not inside and outside .. have false info .. fuel gauge is hardly 1step up from half of Chevy .. its written is 3/4 and on system they show 5460km actually is 5461km they I update in the dispute but still they charge me full .. I upload the picture its show the km on same picture show fuel gauge...when I drop the truck the guy said me fuel.is less I said I fill more then that intake I click the the picture they show time and location .. km is not big deal ...SUCHASINGH V.
The processing takes way too long. The POS terminal was extremely slow and one item had to be done twice. The attendant couldnt quite understand why people were getting upset. The transactions were slow for everyone. The truck had issues, the front end was shaking while breaking. We have used this location many times over 40 yrs and this was the slowest experience yet. We keep coming back because we need your services but I really think the computer program being used is outdated.JOSEPHP V.

First and foremost the clerk at the Main Street location was rude. Secondly, I booked an appliance dolly with the truck, which was not available. After over an hour on hold with customer services someone was thankfully able to find me a dolly at another location, half an hour away.. Inconvenient but better than nothing. The phone customer service gentleman was helpful and polite. The clerk at the return location was lovely.LAURA M.

More communication at the desk-- we had booked for 630 p.m. to return 24 hrs later. It was 615. So we were going to be charged another day for 15 min. We spotted this, seriously??? By the time we got out of the lot it was well past 630. Upon our return, not having to go inside to close the transaction was much appreciated. The employee outside was courteous, funny and very good at his job. We will come back if we ever need this service again!!JAMESL J.

The system was down when I got there for my pickup and they had no real backup plan. A lot of time wasted. When I finally got processed I needed to hook up my trailer on my own. Inspect vehicle before ready to rent.... I had to change 3 vehicles the day i was picking up...as there was some issues with them (like broken side mirror, worn out breakes, seats not vacuumed, allignment off, not enough air in tires...USMANKHURAM M.

Lady name is jaspreet she call me about veichle and I talk with her she disconnected my line my words is in my mouth . When I reach to a branch she is sitting with manager and talking each other. I notice location is empty no custmer their I ask her why you disconnect my phone line she lying to me she said I'm very busy .with other custmer I said I'm on phone what I'm not custmer . Rohan From customer service was very rude and not willing to help and said he was the mechanic but was not knowledgeable on electrical hook up for the trailer we rented. When they said it was ready I checked the lights and signals and found the left one not working. We had to switch trailers. Also had to buy a Adapter for the electrical hook up because U- Hual would not supply it. All trailers should be able to be hooked up to any vehicle by the company.WILLIAM A.

I rent a truck from U-Haul for the first time and experience a very unprofessional welcome from a clerk behind the counter, She welcome me with a threatening voice to send my name to a collection to collect 65 dollars that she thought i had to pay because i drop the key of the rental truck in the after hours. box. i paid for all the KM i estimated to drive. I used less KM and expected a refund but she start racing her voice and instead of speaking respectful start with treats. U-Haul customer service is awful. Employees are getting lazy. My truck is never brought out for me they don't even tell me where to find it. When I return with the rental it's always a hassle returning. People never come out from behind the desk to help me with anything. All the do is warn me about extra charges. Guaranteed reservation for 6 x 12 cargo trailer, reserved online. I showed up to pick it up and advised lot person that only 5 of the 12 lights on the trailer were functional, including only 1 side of the rear brake and running lights. The lot person did not know what to do and told me that I should cancel my reservation and I would get $50. I advised him that I needed a trailer, not $50. He turned around, and without a word, went back into the shop, leaving a trailer tongue lift parked between my vehicle and the trailer. I had no option because my schedule had been made around getting a trailer. I left. On returning I advised another lot person that I had no lights on the trailer. He immediately found the source to be a broken wire near the front connector, and advised me that the other lot person should have found that right away. He advised me that they would hold off on the charge to my credit card and I went to speak to the location manager. When I advised her about the stress that it caused me driving a trailer with less than Â½ the lights working she asked me "did you get a ticket?" I replied no. She then said she would talk to the original lot person. I told her "that works for you, however does nothing for me". I did not receive the service that I was entitled to, nor was there any concern that UHaul contributed to putting me in an unsafe situation. It appears that the trailers are not inspected for functionality when they are returned, nor when they are issued out. In my opinion this just does not reflect good, and safety conscious, business practices.Vidmantas S.

Lighting was terrible especially where upper units were located. Trucks were always parked blocking entrance way to storage units. Sometimes there were sketchy people waiting outside of the door trying to get in without a code. I paid for this storage unit for a client as I'm a realtor. They were not happy at all when they couldn't access the unit. I had also asked if by chance the unit for the 3rd month could be shortened to the end of the first week as the client moved everything out Aug 8.
