Online pick-up was a little drawn out. Maybe allow for uploading of driver's license pictures during check-in the night before. Also, notify the customer that additional documentation (point of contact, passport, or lease agreement) may be required so they know to have that available. My uhaul was towed before i could use it bc it had bad breaks , this put me behind and increased the rent i had to pay before the move , when speaking to roadside assistance the guy kept saying he would call me back but didnt i stayed in the phone with uhaul til almost 2 am trying to get a replacement truck that the rep was supposed to be trying to get brought to my house only to find out later that that is not even possible. The next morning roadside did order me an uber to take me to get a replacement but even after discussing what time zone i was in i got there and had to wait outside 30 mins after for them to open after the rep said they were already open over the phone , i ended up returning the uhaul a day late bc i planned to be done within the first 24hrs i had the uhaul so that i could get it back in time before i knew i had school but i was not able to do that bc the truck was not prepared before i picked it up,Kapanesha B.

My initial rental was with the Ringgold Rd store. Unfortunately, I discovered once I got home with the trailer, the rear tire had a nail in it and only 5.5 lbs. of pressure in it. The retailer stated I could do all the work for Uhaul and/or waste half a day's work waiting for their repairman to show up to fix the tire. I immediately took the trailer back and got a refund. It's clear Uhaul's upper management is clueless about the end use and user of their products. And their business policies are declining. If I continue to find them to be unreliable, I'll find another solution and cease my business with them.Bobbie B.

Nothing. The master installer talked me through the process over the phone. I dropped my car off with all the paperwork in a matter of minutes. Move the equipment return sign so that you see it before you turn into the driveway. Currently the sign is past the driveway. If there is one I missed it is because it did not stand out from the surroundings. Lots of road construction in the area and by the time you get to the store you need easily identified directions.william P.
The truck I received had a halfway deflated front tire. When I discovered it, I was an hour into a two hour trip through the mountains. I called the office and the person answering accused me of doing something to the truck because the tire pressure light â€œwasn't on when you leftâ€. (It was- I took a photo of the lights on the dash before I left, just in case.) After asking to speak to the manager and asking him the date of the last inspection, he said,â€If you saw the light on, why didn't you say something?â€ Again, trying to place the blame on me. Realizing how dangerous the truck was that I was driving, I pulled over and called roadside assistance. I waited for nearly 3 hours. The mechanic first tried to send me on my way with an obvious screw in the continually deflating tire. He said it was â€œperfectly safeâ€ to drive a tire under-inflated by 50% and losing air by the mile. After enough pushback, he removed a screw from the tire and then tried to convince me it was safe to drive on 40/85 psi while the 3 other tires were at 85-90 psi. I insisted it was not, so we drove to a tire shop where they re-inflated the tire for me. As they re-inflated the tire, I decided to check out the inspection sticker inside the driver's side door. The vehicle had not had it's *WEEKLY* inspection since late September, which was 3+ weeks ago! My 4 hour trip ended up taking 8 hours with extraordinary unnecessary stress. I missed work meetings. The truck was dangerous to drive due to the negligence of the shop and a lack of proper inspection. Guess what the condescending manager offered me for my troubles? $60 off my bill. I have a case open and am awaiting a call from the general manager to discuss this absolutely horrific experience. If you're thinking about renting from this place- DON'T DO IT. Rent a pick-up from Home Depot or Lowe's instead and you'll likely be in a much safer and less stressful position.Katy F.

I did self pickup. The fuel gauge on the app showed full. The actual gauge showed close to full so I assumed that that was as high as the gauge went. I did not take a photo. I replaced fuel at 10 mpg. Still had to pay for U-Haul fuel to get the gauge up to max out. Lesson learned. This may be a limitation of the app though to accurately record fuel gauge level.Jeff L.

I had a trailer hitch installed they did a great job. I did have to get wired for trailer lighting, where I was confused was they have the wiring coming from the inside so it hangs out where the lift gate closes and looks super tackey and rigged up. The staff was amazing and helpful.Stacy C.

Van we rented was the only one on the lot despite having reserved a van 2 months prior. It had a dented driver's door that caused air to leak through the door seal. Very annoying. The passenger side visor was broken and hung down. We had to pin it up out of place. The van should not have been in service.Nina N.

I got a 15' truck that is actually 11'-11â€ with a small 3'-1â€ cubby over the cab (â€œmom's atticâ€) that makes it a 15' truck. This was very inconvenient because of the length of items I was loading. Just call it what it is, I would have gladly gotten an 18' if I had known before I got to where I was loading that it wasn't even 12' and it was way too late to change course.robert B.

I was very disappointed that the truck I reserved was not available. I reserved the truck well in advance and only needed to move a bed frame and two night stands. Although the representative did what she could to make it right, I was given the next size up truck which was larger than needed. If someone reserves a particular rental, it should be there. Maybe ensuring the rental in on the lot the might before instead of depending on totals to be returned in time might be helpful.Stephanie J.

The truck was very out of shape. Had to floor it almost to move at all. The headlights are pointing straight up it seemed like so when driving at night you can't see the road in front of you unless you ride with a blinker on. It got the job done, but was very unpleasant to drive.Jeremy I.

The men were 3 hours late after multiple calls saying they were on the way. They showed up with a truck with a mattress and box springs which they threw in my dumpster and I will have to pay a fee because of that.I moved with one mattress and box springs and I have mine at my new location. They were very unprofessional and once they loaded my stuff they took over an hour to get to my new location. I paid for 5 hours and only got 3 hours of work out of them. I will never use this company again. And the person that called for the payment code would not address the issue of the mattress and box springs. I'm not a happy customerSally G.
THe 2022 Broad Street team was more than helpful. the scheduling center had not advised the location of my reservaton, they did not have a single trailer ready and my Box was located behind several other boxes so it took over an hour and get the box out & loaded on to a double trailer. There was minimal info about storage options on the website for this specific location except its was on the second level based off that size. Most uhaul storage facilities are nice, climate controlled and secure. Plus they normally have an “upstairs” or multiple levels and to get upstairs there is atleast an elevator. There was NO elevator, only steps and this was not mentioned until after we got there. So as we are moving to this new city we have countless heavy items that we had to haul UP A FLIGHT OF STEPS when we thought we could just roll these things right up to a unit and unload quickly and efficiently. They knew we had an entire truck full of very large house items and didn’t question the full uhaul to bring up a flight of old metal stairs. It would be one of the hardest things to haul up steps for two people. So being it was almost time for them to close up for the night, and we had no where else to go with this full truck we had to settle for this and if we had known ahead of time that this was how the facility was we would taken our business elsewhere. Upstairs was no better than a old warehouse, hot and definitely not climate controlled. One of the last times we were in there getting all this stuff out and DOWN A FLIGHT OF STEPS we had to sign out of the facility with the code. Said it was signed out but it never locked the door to the inside storage facilities so we thought the code didn’t work since the door was still unlocked, so we opened the door as it was fully unlocked and the alarm went off. Of course they had all gone home for the night and we will get penalized if we do not sign out properly so as the alarm is going off both inside the facility and in the units no police ever came and we did not know what to do. The emergency after hours phone call person did not answer his phone and still did not call me back to this day (about 2 weeks ago) so we ended up calling 911 ourselves to let them know that we are tenants at the storage unit and their doors are not locking properly and that they need to be aware of this as this is not a great part of town. It’s good to know that the storage facility is probably improperly unlocked all day long and night and our valuables are all in one storage unit in this building. The employees are mostly helpful but not the most pleasant people. We will not be coming back here and we will be finding a newer nicer more secure storage unit for our things next time … And we have used family owned storage units in the past that have been nicer than this.
