While the inside office was clean and the employees friendly and helpful, Where my storage unit was located, the grounds were filthy with trash, empty medicine bottles, beer cans, etc. I actually had to sweep in front of my unit so I could open the door. Had I known that it was going to be that disgusting I would have rented somewhere else. I had to ask for a step stool to get into the truck and fortunately had a two step stool at home I used the remainder of the time - not everyone has e capacity to get into a trick so would have been nice to have them offer it or have a step on the trucks plus a liability to you for someone falling or injuring their knees getting I and out of the vehicle - also the gas price is outrageous and as someone who doesn't normally drive a truck pulling into a gas station was too scary for me -the staff at Castleton when ordering, picking up and dropping off were great - just have them offer a step stool to people pleaseANNA D.

When I walked in there was 2 men working behind the counter. One man was with a customer and the other man was eating a full meal consisting of chinese food, fried rice, etc and a drink. This is unacceptable when helping customers. The same man while checking me out was texting on his phone in between me signing the credit card screen, etc. This is unacceptable. The same man let me stand in line for 5 minutes when I first came in without offering to assist me. He was not on break or lunch. When I received the keys to the truck, he did not tell me how to operate the truck, did not show me where my truck was located, etc. The a/c in the truck did not work. When I returned the truck, the same man tried to charge me for gas and argued with me about it even though he was wrong after going back and rechecking the truck. I had taken pictures of the gas hand before I handed over the keys. The check in people got it wrong and wrote it wrong on the paper. The same man wanted to take a photo of my drivers license with his personal cell phone to upload into the system. This is unacceptable and should not be a policy by Uhaul to allow an employee to do this. Overall this uhaul is a terrible location to rent a truck from. He didn't even apologize for making the error and accusing me of not putting gas back in the truck. I will never go back to this location if I need a truck again.Natalie L.

The truck i had was loose in the front end- would hit a bump and could feel wobble in steering wheel - although the truck tracked well no pull right or left. A hard brake truck and trailer handled excellent. The passenger side tire hold down on the trailer kept slipping off. I'd reset at all stops (4). When i dropped equipment off on Saturday the dealer said they'd send a email for return. I haven't received as yet. Thank you very much to ANO and Bayle. Both very helpfulJoseph G.

Terrible service. I reserved a truck for 10 am on 6/05/21. When I went to pick up the truck the worker tells me the truck is not available in fact it's not available until later in the day at 1pm. Keep in mind I had to be somewhere to use the Uhual by 10:30 am. Anyways I come back to pick up the truck at 1 pm and I was told my account has a hold on it due to some outstanding change on my account and Uhual is not allowed to rent the truck out to me. They give me customer service numbe to call. I call the number to only discover I have a no outstanding charge and they tell me they're not sure why I had a hold on my account. I go back to get the truck. I get the truck but now it's 1:30 pm. I was supposed to be somewhere with the truck by 1:30. That's not even the worst part I still had to pay to use the truck. I received a $50 credit to my account but still had to pay to use the truck. For my time and the inconvenience of me having to reschedule and come back three times to get the truck should've been more than enough reason to get the truck for free. Reservation was inexplicably cancelled. Although there were 4 of the exact type of trailer I needed on the lot, the Uhaul representative onsite wouldn't/refused to help me. While standing in front of him, I made another reservation. I don't understand why he could not have done that. Then, of the 4 trailers, 3 were defective, so our 'experience' ended up taking a couple hours due to lack of customer service.David H.

I tried for 5 days to find out if I could park my car overnight at this location and got no responses (you can). I tried calling local number, sat on hold with 1-800 # for 30 minutes to have them try direct contact and asking them to email or call me and nothing worked. My cargo van windshield was very dirty, it pulled to the right, and within 20 miles a warning popped up to service the tire monitor system (luckily it was just the monitor and not the tires). I discovered when I went to fill it up with gas that it took E85 gas so I had to drive out of my way to find that. When I returned the van I tried to mention these things but attendant was very rude and even said, I don't mean to be rude but you had roadside assistance if you were concerned. Also, I asked for my receipt to be emailed to me and I still have not received it.Rhonda F.

Service your vehicles. I received a truck with the check engine, check tires and trailer lights on; the gas cap was also missing. This was a actually the second truck I received, the first wasn't checked in properly (gas gauge and mileage were way off from what the paperwork stated). Don't charge me for 2 gallons on an improperly eyeballed gas gauge (I drove 9 miles and had added a gallon, so it cost me a total of 3 gallons of gas for 9 miles). It would make most sense to have customers return the vehicles full and not eyeballing the gauges. Employees should also follow Covid masking protocol per county standards, while the standards are still in place. Of the 3 employees behind the desk, one employee was wearing hers properly, one employee had his mask on his chin and one employee didn't have a mask at all. Everytime I come to this location, the staff never greets any of the customers. Even if there’s a short wait (when they are not with customers) nobody says they’ll be with you in a moment or even acknowledges you’re standing there. The transactions at the counter are always very monotone and awkward. Yesterday I was there because I had a reservation for a storage unit. The unit I was assigned was half open and still had items in there. I was assigned a new unit and luckily that one was empty. No apology at the counter. Just a new sheet of paper with my new unit number. The staff is worse than the workers at the post office.
