Every piece of equipment was dirty. Every piece of equipment was wrecked. Every piece of equipment Had less than a quarter of a tank fuel in it.. I had to go through multiple units before I could get one to take and was finally told to take because this is all they had. The mileage was not even correct. The sales person apologized for it but all they could do was go by what was coming up on the computer and they blamed everything on the mechanics for not giving them current information..

Make sure the mileage is correct for the vehicle that is being rented the mileage on the paperwork said 80 something thousand miles and the actual mileage was only $13,400 not a huge deal

Equipment was clean but the truck I rented needs some serious front end work. Steering was very loose and truck was unstable especially at highway speeds, above 50mph.

I should've spoken up when I picked up the vehicle. When I picked it up, the gas meter read 5/8 even though I was told it was 3/4. I returned the uhaul with enough replacement gas to put it back where I got it: 5/8. Then I got charged an extra $50 to get it "back" to 3/4. Ridiculous.

The ramp would not work on the truck we had and we had a house move so it was truly an inconvenience to us. The roadside assistance never came while we were there at all and then when I called him he hung up on me! Very very unprofessional in my opinion. Also he called at 11/30 and we picked the truck up at 7am so we were almost done moving by the time he even called.

I purchased a 9x20 vehicle storage unit but when I arrived they said that they don’t have any and all that they had was open parking storage in their parking garage. They said that it happens all the time, people order a vehicle storage only to find out none are available. Also, they charged me the same price for a single parking spot in their open parking lot as the 9x20 storage unit. It should have been less expensive as it was smaller and not enclosed. Very bad experience.

I was given a price at time of purchase then overcharged once containers arrived. The containers were delivered and not picked up approx a week late and resulted in our driveway installation being delayed. The mileage I was charged was incorrect. I immediately reported the error when I received my receipt by email. I was told I would be contacted within 72 hours. Today, 11/17/2021, is 72 hours and no one has contacted me. I tried to go to the web site and submit a complaint (through my online account for previous orders) and the system was not working. It would not allow me to submit my concerns. Obviously U-Haul finds ways to commit fraud in truck rentals, overcharge customers, and then does not have a solid process to handle grievances when they are submitted by phone (or purposely blocks online attempts to submit complaints). Never again will I rent from U-Haul.

The people at the local site were very helpful. The agents on the mobile app were a pain in the neck. Could not perform a drop off after hours in the mobile app. Had to wait an hour for a customer service rep. I filed a road-side assistance request and got help right away. They told me that my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra probably didn't have enough memory to handle the UHaul app, and I should try using the web browser instead. Using the web browser worked and I got the truck checked in.

The pod arrived 4 hours late. We ended up selling equipment that wouldn't fit because they could get another pod. These things are tiny. Do not believe them when they say 1 pod = 1 bedroom house. $99 delivery fee was fair had it not been 4 hours late. $1300 to transport the pod to “a secure locked facility”. Our pod with about $25,000 in equipment, was sitting in a parking lot of a UPS drop off. Anyone with a trailer hook could have taken in. No employee on staff. Just sitting there. The trailer jack didn't work, luckily we had a Jack and we're able to stabilize the trailer to unload it. We are still waiting for the $119 in packing supplies. Trying to get that money refunded is an absolute joke. All in all we got the stuff here. Way to expensive, no customer service no accountability. All we got were excuses and blaming covid. Hire movers! Never go this route unless you're desperate and ready to be frustrated. Ian and Staci Lohrenz

Then hit me with over mileage fee. I changed l locations for drop off. I tried to fight it. I asked for a break on it. Girl said u should dispute it later. Total scam and unprofessional. Just take my money feeling. UhAul was a disappoint on this retail. Probably try someone else when I need a truck to move from storage next month. Please contact with a non generic reply would be nice. Thx Girl was ok until my issue. Told me to call customer service then customer service said they couldn't do it. Has to be store. Then waited at store on hold for 30 mins. Said it is what it is on $200 extra charge. On top of all that I had a reservation on a truck that wasn't even a Friday location. All this and act like it no big deal. Take my money.

Was very upset regarding pick up location. I requested truck over a week in advance at a location 3 miles from our hotel. The day before the move I find out we have to drive 20+ miles just to pick it up. And, we were charged for 21 miles over limit. The truck was not full of gas, which was one of the first things we had to do. Then we had to pay to fill it up when we dropped it off. Something not right about that. We have used U-Haul many times over the years but this time I was not a happy customer.

They charged and extra $42.00 with no explanation why, turns out it was because I was and hr late according to the paper work. It would have been nice to have them at least explain it to me. I don't think I should have been charged for this I use U-haul a lot I don't know why they couldn't give me a beaker on this. Thanks, Samuel

calling the main UHaul number (not the local location) was a terrible experience. Hold times 20-30 minutes. The price and value of the UBox was extremely high for the service. I ended up paying about $100 a week for 2 UBoxes, after delivery and fees and 2 full monthly charges.

I made the transaction online using the mobile app,but had to start all over at the location. The truck was missing a gas cap the door didn't close and the check engine light was on. The storage facility has alarms that go off periodical. The staff doesn't know how to prevent it. I recommend going to another location.

Local location boxes were delivered from were fine. Calling the number to have my container shipped and to set up delivery was a nightmare. First representative said management had to schedule it. “Management” couldn't find any sign of either of my reservations, and their supervisor was gone for the day, but he'd be happy to call me at times I'm working and can't talk to them. Called back to the original number and after an hour wait due to their phone issues, I got someone who pulled up the information and scheduled it in less than 5 minutes. Fast forward to scheduling delivery, I'm told the 2 boxes from separate locations were already merged into one order, despite having been told that couldn't be done until I was ready for delivery. We set up delivery and moving help, which the representative talked me through on my laptop since the system wouldn't take my credit card number for them to actually book the service. As I prepare to hang up, the representative notices only 1 of the 2 boxes is scheduled for delivery. They weren't merged after all. Back on hold for another half hour to transfer to another department who cancelled the order and scheduled the moving help (no laptop required this time). Moving is stressful enough. The lack of coordination made it a lot worse.

The only problem is that the access door can't be opened from outside so it is difficult to get your vehicle in and out. Without going on separately and opening door then pulling in. It could be an easy fix to make it work conveniently.

I requested a trailer to haul a tractor that was 6ft wide. The woman who O spoke to at the uhaul 800 number recommended the 6x1w trailer with a ramp. I didn't notice until arriving at work (where the tractor was) that the trailer was not actually 6 ft qife at the opening, so the tractor could not be loaded on the trailer. I was at work, so I called the 800 number and they told me the refund would need to be handled at the location where I picked up the trailer. The associate at the location tried to process the refund, but it would not go through. She called the manager who said if the trailer was gone longer than an hour it would not be refunded. I followed the guidance of the ubaul associate when ordering the trailer, and had to order a second trailer later in the day from a different location. I am not trying to get aomething free... I had to drive 40 miles to the location, back when the trailer didn't work; then to a different location, and then 40 miles back to the tractor again. The day was a fiasco that could have been easily resolved if the person at the 800 number had told me the trailer was not actually 6ft wide. I called the Akron manager, and have not received a call back 2r hours later. I also tried to call the uhaul customer service ice number, and both times I called and requested a call back, the system hung up on me as soon as I accepted the call. I am extremely unsatisfied and want the initial trailer refunded.

Wearing harness was not installed after spending two days at this location. I finally had to request that they removed the work they did as they were clearly damaging my vehicle. When I started taking video they called the police. I'm extremely disgusted with my whole experience with this location and this manager. I still have not received my refund for work not done and expect to take legal action.

Arrived on Sept 1st at 8PM to pick up a 26 ft truck only to find someone else's stuff in it. The truck was unlocked and had no furniture pads. The individual finally came and took their stuff out. We talked with Zeluma who walked us through the check in process and she was very kind and helpful. However, when we got to the key box there was no key in there. Zeluma gave us a customer service number to call to find out what to do. I was on hold for 51 minutes, an absolutely unreasonable amount of time only to be told we would we would have to go back to the location the following morning. At that point and by the time we got hime, we had wasted 4 hours of time. Another unacceptable event. We went the following morning and Olivia, the counter attendant, told us she forgot to put the key in the box. Additionally, we had to load the furniture pads in the truck ourselves. By the time we were able to finally start packing the truck we had lost 5 hours and had to turn the truck in on the 4th. The drop off location attendant was very kind but I was told I'd be charged for an extra day. Had we been able to get the truck when we were scheduled to, it would have been on time. The inconvenience added more unneeded stress on the move. The counter attendant needs to be counseled on her responsibilities to the public!

Local staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent experience with the employees at this location on pick-up and drop-off. Great team there at Tallmadge Ave. However, the call I received from the regional rep was a bit odd. I was questioned as to why I needed the truck for two days. The regional rep's tone was a bit condescending, informing me that other families needed the truck as well. She seemed to want an explanation. I started to give her details of what I had planned for the two days and reminded her that I was paying for the time, then she cut me off. Not sure what that was all about but it seemed an odd way to treat a paying customer.

I paid for dolly and did not get it. Also did not receive the pads that I paid for. I would expect if I was ordering a dolly, that the truck would come with a ramp to load stuff, but this had no ramp. On top of that, the ABS, traction control, and towing lights all appeared on dashboard before I was 30 minutes into driving, and I was under a time crunch so I had no time to return truck and exchange for new equipment. I need to rent another truck next week, and I'm worried about using another one of your trucks.

We had a bad charge that we called on and the supervisor will not call us back. It was the Akron location and it looks like they are charging us a extra month. The supervisor will not get on the phone and told the clerk to tell us that he is looking into to. He was standing there and my wife could hear him talking in the background telling the clerk what to say. This has been going of for 3 weeks now and he still had not called back. The great thing is that I work in the LTL trucking world as a terminal manager and I have these same issues with customers but I am man enough to talk to the customer and try to fix the problem. If it was our fault or not.

I was charged for an after hours drop off. I have never been charged this fee at other uhaul locations in the same general region. At other stores I was given a web link that I could use to check the trailer back in. I refuse to pay you an extra $20 because I dropped it off exactly where you told me and exactly when I said I would.

The manager Christina is outstanding. She went above and beyond to help me. I think the location is understaffed. The biggest issue was getting in contact with this location. If they don't pick up it connects you to a u-haul representative after waiting on hold for an hour. Cmon u-haul think of a better system so the uhaul site can get back to me.
