Listen to what your customer asked for!!!! I didn't want to pay for the warranty and was quoted one price and when wife went to pay it was more than agreed upon. We will be trading the vehicle in next year why pay for something that will do us no good. If you can not stand behind your product and services better without charging your customers for it I will not be backchip O.
I was charged a $20 after hours service fee and don't know why. I've called and can never get local store to pickup, and I get put in a 45 minute wait for customer service line. No response from email to manager.Thomas M.

Steering rack had a lot of play at least turning 15 degrees before reacting. AC fan not working. This was a very used truck with 152K miles, truck showed damage around wheel wells. Not a great rental. Glad I was renting for in town, if I was renting for a long drive, I would have returned for another vehicle.Karl S.

Scheduling was terrible at this location. We were told pick up was on a certain date, they didn't, we were told driver was 1.45 hours away would be here, did not happen. no telephone updates. never kept us informed, one night we waited up until almost midnight b/c they said boxes on their way and we had to show them where to drop them. they never arrived that night. delivery was for a tuesday, never arrived, never called. we called Florence over and over, no answer, no manager Jason ever returned call. Wanda was nice, Bernadette, Missy were too but really could not do anything for us in Florence. Boxes were to be picked up on a Tuesday, they never were, we called next day, they did not know why they weren't picked up. actually, someone told us they were picked up as i was looking at them still in my driveway. they finally picked up on wednesday. i do not recommend this location at all.David T.

Worst experience ever! Uboxes showed up 2 days late after multiple phone calls with uhaul and finally emailed ceo to get things going. No one had a delivery time and many transfers to different departments that weren't helpful either. Also charged for delivery on day they weren't delivered. Then it takes a week to pick up boxes with multiple calls to uhaul with no time of pickup so emailed ceo again and they were picked up next day. Pretty sad customer has to do so much work to get their items delivered! Never again!ERIC S.

The delivery process in Columbus was cumbersome. They could not deliver on previously established day, but could deliver earlier which worked out well. However, the scheduler requested I call to submit payment. This required 5 phone calls to 3 different numbers. Otherwise everything was very smooth. Would use againJeff R.

I have been working with Jason in Wilmington. As long as he handles things, it is smooth. Some how some one screwed things up, it was not him. I don't have my belongings from Pittsbrugh, I keep getting charged for things I shouldn't because Uhaul either doesn't have something they need to make my delivery, then charging me for storage when I should have had my boxes..they would have been emptied and returned by now. Your phone system is a joke!!!! The one thing you don't want is for me to leave review. Better yet, I will be filing a dispute with the Better Business Bureau.CHERYL L.

The rental truck was a piece of junk. It had a ride like there was no rubber on the wheels. The cab was cramped and the visor on the driver's side kept falling down because there was a hole where the holder clamp used to be.Jackson N.

Horrible experience with lack of communication, broken promises and way too much time spent on my end trying to fix uhauls mistakes (at least 15 hours on the phone and on hold). I'm still owed over $400 for a months storage on 3 units that was charged to me like ransom to save my belongings when uhaul was the reason that my rental exceeded a month. This was supposed to be refunded to me per Jason but has yet to refunded to my credit card. Such a disappointing experience.Rebecca W.

Staff was great. Truck was not waterproofed. It rained for 20 min and water all ran down the inside of both sides of the truck soaking some box bottoms on the floor and edge of U-Haul forcing us to unload immediately and unpack damaged boxes to not sustain damage to our items. Luckily electronics were packed in our vehicles and the rain happened right at the destination. Shocked how much water came inside and you could see it running down the side walls.Adam M.

Customer service representatives are nice but never really helped me with major issues until it was convient for them. Communication is very poor. Late delivery, late pickup. I understand that there is a nation wide shortage of staff but not keeping me in the loop as to what was going on for days and weeks at a time is unacceptable! I would never ever recommend or use uhal again. If you like to spend hours on the phone, getting disconnected or being transferred on the phone to an average of 4-6 times go for it.. otherwise don't do it. It's not worth it!Sandra P.

This has been the most horrible service. Not only did I spend hours on the phone but also being transferred so many times for one issue and then a disconnect on the phone. I would be on the phone (hold) so long it was time consuming during a major move. Almost all customer service reps were polite and I generally told them so and thanked them for their help (nothing got resolved). Terrible service. My credit card company alerted me of â€œsuspicious activity â€œ tonight at 7:07 pm. I thought someone had stolen my card number. Come to find out, U-Haul had charged us $343 for not returning a tow dolly we had rented AND RETURNED a few weeks earlier. Norm and Larry were both very helpful in figuring out that an employee had not marked the tow dolly as â€œreturnedâ€. I don't fault the people involved but I do feel like we should have been contacted if they thought we hadn't returned it, before just charging our card. It should be company policy to contact the customer first. If they had done that, I wouldn't have had to waste an hour of my life straightening out their mistake.Connie W.

My boxes were scheduled for delivery on June 22nd...they were not due to no U-Haul drivers available after scheduling the delivery. Because I had to go back to work, I had to pay 2 months of additional Storage Fees and an $800 fee to move my containers closer to my home. Once rescheduled, the driver was on time and very courteous. Please feel free to contact me.John W.

When I arrived, the unit I had reserved online was not available. Full disclosure, my reservation was for Saturday; 3/28, but I did not check in until Sunday, 3/29. The online system and the store location did not have the same information. The unit I reserved was not available. A 10x10 unit was recommended which I took at the higher rate. During my move in, the storage room was barely able to hold my belongings. I wasn't able to fit everything in the storage unit and ended up having to secure other means of storage. Overall, make sure the online system is up to date. Also, the cashier did give a discount because of the inconvenience; however, the lack of space in the unit recommended by the gentlemen was insufficient.Chad B. | First Impressions

Overall it was average. I placed a reservation the night before for a unit and was packed and there for move in. Only to be told the unit I reserved still had merchandise from previous client. I was told by a rude African American, very unprofessional at the job that she spoke with the manager and I would have to come back after the client moved their belongings out. Of course this was not okay with me so she involved Larry which seems like he has to handle everything. Several customers waiting to be served and 3 employees, Larry being one and the only one trying to help everyone. He took me and got me a unit and I was able to move my stuff in. Thankful he was there. Oh,and I was told I got a free month for the inconvenience but they were doing that anyway for all renters....overall turned out okay.Dana S. | First Impressions

Larry (Irby St. Florence, SC) was very helpful in finding the size storage unit to fit my needs. He walked us through the building and let us see actual units that were available and allowed me to choose between those. I wanted one on ground level, however one wasn’t available but he located one that was right at the top of the stairs with a large door for easier access to load and unload large pieces of furniture. He was very polite and courteous. He answered any questions that I had even prior to me asking them. After renting the unit, he walked us back over to explain to us how to use the access key and then showed me how to put the lock on the door that I was also able to purchase from him.
