Do not recommend. I was told by the staff that after dropping off the truck I would get a refund from the difference amount of miles used. Unfortunately, I was fully charged $110 for 7 miles and 4 hours with the truck.
Rafael Z.I rented 2 trucks a 26 and a 20 foot the 26 ft trucks were clean but the 26 ft truck had trouble picking up speed it would shake to pick up speed but did the job from Chicago to Joliet IL.

He then was very short with me when I asked for a paper receipt. He acted like I was asking him a great, big, fat favor. He said he was busy. Never thanked me for my rental. tony A.The back of the truck had not been cleaned when I picked up the truck, but I made sure it was swept clean before I returned it. I've rented at this location before and will come back again. I'd ask that they make sure the truck is clean and also sanitized in the front passenger area.

Alberto F.For the most part this particular service should go smoothly with little to zero problems. But it's the fact that the employee who was helping me didn't bring to my attention or notice, that there would charges for another day, plus extra fees. I believe it's their job to let customers know that there is another reserve that is waiting for the following dates. I wasn't given an option to extend my time either. The truck needed to be swept before use an the gas tank was on empty. I originally had checked out my rental on the app an it still wasn't processed, I mean at that point shouldn't I get the same type of disclosure in-store, that there is going to be late fees or that someone had reserved for the following day. Besides that everything was just up to par, but full disclosure on the terms of being late or others who have pending reserves should be made to customers attention at the time of rental.

Tim G.They did not have the size truck that I reserved over a week ago and didn't call to let me know. I had to take a bigger truck that was not great for the downtown location I was moving into. They did not even offer to take off the cost of the moving blankets or anything. It was very disappointing.

Try not to send people to a location that is 45 minutes away from the location that was listed. This was an awful experience and I would like to be compensated somehow.

Nancy T.I'm not sure, at least not without speaking about my experience. This is the 2nd time in 5 weeks that I have done a short-term truck rental. Both times I was told to return the truck with gas at a level higher than what I was given when I rented the truck. For example, this last time, I was given the truck with the tank 1/8 full (the reading at this point was even telling me the number of miles until empty). However, I was told to fill the tank to 1/4 full instead of 1/8. With the price of gas these days plus paying for mileage - this seems a bit dishonest. If it happened one time, ok. But a 2nd time makes me believe this is a common practice.

Richard D.If there's any way to improve safety driving equipment in and out of facility, that would be great. Also, sad that this new(er) vehicle had a leak inside. So truck bed was clean but wet in one spot. Glad I noticed before putting boxes or fabric down.

Gary T.Need better employees that take care of the customer and provide appropriate information. At the time of pick up, it took about 10 min for another employee to come and assist. The person that checked me in, was on the phone watching a movie or YouTube as he was assisting and going thru the process (checking my DL, asking questions about options) When dropping off the truck, I requested a printed receipt and I got an attitude saying that the store was closed, however, the door was open and it was 5:00 when I came in thru the door.

john F.My pre-order, which the cashier had in front of her when I picked up the van, included my driver's license and a couple of products in addition to the van. However, the cashier included insurance, which I had declined, and said nothing about those two other items. So, I did not know that I should just take them, thinking, instead that they would be in the van already. I did not realize that they weren't until I got home, and I decided not to go back to get them. Then, today, I saw that I had been charged for them anyway. Fortunately, after raising these issues with other agents my credit card was credited for both the insurance and the additional items. The van itself was fine, although it was a bit of a beast--bouncy shocks and a very wide turning radius.

Noreen F.Truck sounded terrible. Felt like the transmission was about to go out the entire time. I was also charged for 89 miles after driving a grand total of less than 20 miles. Clearly the reading from the previous renter was wrong. And now I'm paying for trusting the owners of this location and not double checking the dashboard. The customer service rep who I spoke to was also extremely rude and demeaning the entire time we spoke about it.
ALEXANDER B.I was charged for 3 gallons of fuel but only drove 9 miles also I added 1.9 gal before dropping the truck off…….. seem wrong so I wrote this email as soon as I saw the receipt. Afternoon, I rented a 15 foot U-Haul truck today Sunday the 26 of June. The drove about 9 miles which Is under the ten mile minimum which clear in the receipt I was given. I have a receipt that I put in the tank 1.9 gallons of gasoline and matched where The level was when I received the vehicle. My complaint is!!!!! When I got the final receipt they charged me for three additional gallons which came to $21. Clearly it doesn't take 5 gallons of fuel to go under 10 miles!!! I feel that the 3 gallon additional charge of gasoline is unjustified and I would like The $21 taken off my credit card. Bernard E.The Uhaul rep literally checked me in while playing a card game on his cellphone. In between moves, he entered my information. I was stunned as this location 801 S. Harlem usually offered top-flight service- not today. Further, the truck needed a front end alignment. Imagine driving a twenty-footer pulling to the right, and you having to compensate by turning the steering wheel to the left just to go straight on the eway. Terrible experience! #CustomersDontMatter

I had to throw away almost half of the things in my unit because they were completely ruined. And the price they were charging at this location was outrageous!!! I moved to a different uhaul location that’s way nicer and climate controlled for $80 less! Over all I was HIGHLY disappointed with the forest park location and WOULD NOT recommend anyone to go there.

I'm not sure if it's the smell of mice excrement or the smell of the poison trying to kill the mice, but either way it made me want to throw up every single time I went in there. Plus, now our belongings smell that same terrible smell now that we've taken them out, despite multiple cleanings. Furthermore, we had NO food whatsover, yet mice still chewed threw our things. We had to throw many of them out. This was such a terrible experience!
