The only problem was the manager in crofton stated we could have returned the vehicle to the same location which was closer crofton yet I was told I would be penalized if I did I was told by Jody at another location. I would not recommend this location based off of the equipment. I had a truck that was pretty old and the mirrors moved constantly while driving. The truck also had a problem with the door, it wouldn't close.Bryan L.

Long wait time to drop off vehicle and we dropped the vehicle off and we were over billed. They logged/checked our vehicle in, an hour after we dropped it off. Which caused us to be billed for another day of service. Even though I dropped off the vehicle before the return time.Latrice B.

One day before picking up the uhaul I was notified that the location was changed and the size of the uhaul was also changed. I had reserved a much larger uhaul so I could move my things. Unfortunately I was unable to move all the furniture I needed to move and I am now forced to rent another truck in the near future. When someone comes to drop off don't make them look for someone outside. Today when I dropped off the van I walked inside to give them the key. I was greeted by a man at the counter. He asked me nicely if I seen a lady outside cleaning vehicles. After I said yes he told me that was who I needed to see. I walked outside and WAITED 20 minutes. The very nice lady returned from moving the vehicle she was cleaning and in a very polite way told me all I had to do was turn in the key. I did not need to do anything else. So why did the employee behind the counter just not take key?? Why was I made to wait??CRYSTAL K.

You moved my pickup location and added 20+ miles, at 99 cents per mile. I gassed up, across the street, before turn in, and then you rip me off for an $18 â€œfuel chargeâ€. Called to challenge the charge and I am told â€œsorry, the charge has already been processed, you need to call customer serviceâ€, which is clearly a misnomer and waste of time. Our move was a nightmare. Inexperienced movers broke family irreplaceable crystal with the second box they picked up. The box was clearly labeled fragile and glass. Then the 2 inexperienced movers walked off the job after 30 minutes and we had to wait for new movers to arrive. My husband had to direct them how to pack the Ubox. I have moved several times and this was the worst! I will NEVER recommend Uhaul.Laurelyn I.

The store staff were utterly amazing! They were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the products and services. I wish the actual store hours were longer and access to the unit were longer without the added cost. I was moving across the country and the longer hours would have help for those last-minute trips to the storage unit. However, that is completely out of the store's control. Only complaint, is only one elevator for the back facility. While it is centrally located, my unit was at the far end and it was quite a walk. Not an issue unless moving in a full truck of stuff. Also, make sure to go one size up from what you think you will need. My original selection was WAY too small. I had a hitch installed at your Bolingbrook, Illinois and rented a trailer from Ottawa, Illinois to move our stuff to Annapolis. We had excellent check-in support and got our stuff moved in. But I found that the installer of the lighting harness forgot to re-bolt our left tail light and we found it dangling precariously when we unhitched the railer. The head mechanic at Glenn Burnie came out and fixed it even though it was late and he was leaving for the day. I hope you appreciate him as much as I did.Ralph C. | Overall Experience

Just wish someone would have mentioned the need to purchase a lock. I originally rented a storage unit but upgraded once we saw the drive up units. I went inside and spoke with staff, very easy process and staff were very friendly. Upgraded our unit and drove to the back again only to have another staff member remove the lock but not even speak to us. We said hello and thank you but he just walked away. We loaded our items into the unit thinking that the man would come back with a lock but we ended going back into the store to buy a lock and then again to return to the unit to lock our unit. Upon moving out i discovered the storage container i was renting had alot of rodent droppings. since my stored items were loaded directly into the control of a moving company i have yet to be able to inspect them, and wont be able to for 6+ weeks until delivered. The first employee that helped me had no idea what she was doing. It was packed. I spent almost 3 hours at the facility, but system went down & phones went out, so it wasn't their fault. The girl asked for assistance numerous times from other employees. They gave me a unit and someone else walked me down to the unit & unlocked it. However the girl didn't give me a lock. I had to walk back up to the office which was a long walk. Someone else helped me this time and was much more knowledgeable. Walked back down to the unit and locked it. Then went back in and stood in a very long line again until I was finally checked in & did all the paperwork. Luckily I got someone else this time. Perhaps the first girl was new. Maybe you should have them well trained prior to checking people in. Everyone was very pleasant though, even when things were very busy. Check in was slow and the alarm went off when I accessed my unit because my code hadn't been activated. It's reasonable to assume that when people rent a storage unit, they are going to put stuff in it right away, and will not enjoy hearing a loud alarm when they do so. Additionally, it's absurd that I need to provide two contact people's information for my storage facility that only I will ever access. Being told "this is our policy" rather than the reason for the policy is not acceptable. Explain the reason behind your policy to your employees so that they can give a better answer when asked why -- or scrap a policy that makes no sense.Katherine W. | First Impressions
