He didn't know that we picked the truck up with a half tank of fuel and were asked to return the same. Additionally we returned the truck a day early because they called and asked if we could be done early so someone else could use the truck.. but when we did, he would not give us a days credit back. We added extra days at a cost... and should have been credited one day back...especially since we worked to get the truck returned a day earlier than planned per their request. I'm not very pleased with U-Haul so I was moving from Pocatello Idaho to Rigby Idaho I had to drive all the way from Pocatello to Idaho falls to get the truck go to Pocatello load up my stuff and bring it back to Rigby and they gave me one way still but I had to pay double the gas because I could not pick up a truck in Pocatello with the price of fuel today I felt like that was kind of ridiculous and I'm not very happy so for that I will never rent another U-Haul truck I will go elsewhere for the fact that I reserved a truck ahead of time.jason C.

The guys at the Idaho falls location were fantastic! They did a great job and were quick and efficient, no complaints really! I'd say the only thing was at the customer service desk two employees had an airpod in-eat listening to music while helping me. I think listening to music is great on the job, I do it too. But I'd suggest advising your employees to take it out when taking with customers at least, shows that we have each others 100% attention. But really that was more of just a suggestion, the guys here did a great job!taylor H.

Don't hassle the customers everyday with some deal or to clarify drop off times/dates. I got a phone call from Uhaul every day that I had their equipment. It was like that annoying person who lends you something and bugs you constantly, except you're paying for the thing they lended you in this situation. I was not taken on a walk around for the vehicle when picking it up. I was not told it was my responsibility to visually inspect it. The truck was pulled up and already running when I picked it up. Some verbal instruction or warning would be nice. Walking out to the vehicle I saw a dent above the rear driver side wheel well. Since the truck was pulled up by an employee and already running for me, I figured the location was aware of it. Upon returning the truck, the owner was checking me in and pointed out the dent. She then told me I should have done a walk through and it was my responsibility. And wanted to make sure I had damage protection. I felt defenseless and as if she didn't believe me that the dent was already there but that she was more concerned that I paid extra for the coverage. It would be nice in the future to at least be told that verbally rather than receiving a text message while I'm still balancing having check out, hand them my license, confirm personal information and answer questions. I feel that process is rushed and frankly is a another way the customer is taken advantage of. Also, the quoting of the rental was not clearly explained during the online reservation and differed than the quote of the in-person check in. Then when I returned it the itemization didn't match what was quoted earlier. It ended up being cheaper. Price doesn't matter, but a clear and consistent explanation of the process would be helpful for the customer.Aaron M.

I rented a pickup. They never did a walk around inspection. Drove it 3.2 miles. Decided I didn't need it and returned it early without any gas being used. They tried charging me for a windshield the coverage for 10 to protect me was dismissed. A 20$ rental turned into a 126.00 rental and they made up the charges! Don't let your customers wait too long. And when you do finally help the customer, don't try to help someone else in the middle of it. The pickup was a 2 wheel drive Chevy Silverado. Late truck in great shape. Excellent to drive. The check in and check out was handled by Blake and did an excellent job getting me in and on my way. This particular storage unit is a converted truck bed. The unit is fine but the problem is that the opening latch lever where the lock goes is now at ground level (on the regular truck, it is at waste level). Being at ground level it is very difficult to lock and unlock the lock. The opening latch lever on mine also had to be pushed down to get the lock holes to line up. This is difficult for one person while locking at the same time. I would not recommend a unit with this lock location to anyone.DARYL L. | First Impressions

I love the Staff there at UHaul, they are so interested in me myself, friendly, answered all my questions. I hurt my hand and th e young man who helped me yesterday saw my hand and was concerned I would hurt it if I helped him carry the heavy container, I was late in paying my bill but they were so kind over that too and so cheerful. I was there afterhours reorganizing. And I was approached by the facility manager and a sales associate claiming I was living in the unit. Also, I notified the facility I was moving out. A day before I moved out my passcode was terminated I was still paid up one extra day. They automatically assume I was not going to pay my bill and lock up my stuff. Wrong!!! While moving out my stuff on a sunday they came to me ans told me that I would have to come back on the next day to finish. Because my code was canceled and they wabted to go home for the eveing. I had every right to stay and finish moving out my belongings. I was a customer over a year. My rental payment were never late. The service in the past has been ok, but the people in the past didn't always seem like they had enough support, maybe understaffed, slow, poor knowledge of the computer system. We sold our house. The new one isn’t ready to move into so we are staying in one of the kids basements. My husband is having surgery. We have to move our things from the unit the day before. In all of the confusion we can’t find the keys to the lock. It’s our lock. We just need to get the unit unloaded before my husband has surgery on his arm and is incapacitated for 6 months. We apparently missed the fine print that says we can’t cut our own lock off of the unit. Your security man acted like we had breeched a nuclear facility The staff will grant us access to our stuff for a few dollars Or.... we can pay a complete stranger to breech the lock. This seems unethical and at least nonsensical. It most certainly showed a lack of compassion. What is the point of this policy anyway?
