fix the pricing so that if equipment is turned in early the rental price is prorated. i rented a car trailer and returned it after 2 hours and still had to pay for a day

When we dropped the truck off and informed them of some damage done to the vehicle we were towing due to the retread coming off of a tire on the U-Haul truck, we were told to call and speak to the location manager. After several failed attempts to reach him by phone, we took time off of work to go in and speak to him. We were appalled when his response was "I can't do anything about that...you need to call the 1-800 number." If the employees would have given us that info on the day we dropped off, our issues could have been resolved by now (a week later) rather than us wasting time trying to contact someone who obviously doesn't want to help the customer, and our personal vehicle damage might already be fixed. Next time we move, Hertz or Penske will be getting any and all of our business, as well as that of our extensive family and friends.

After agreeing to drop off the trailer in Saint Anthony, Phil called and requested that we return it in Idaho Falls because they really needed it....45 minutes out of our way. Phil in the regional phone center promised us $50 returned when we dropped it off, we clarified it wouldn't be returned until the afternoon. He agreed to that, so we said we would do that. The next morning we got a really rude call from Caleb in Idaho Falls telling us we should have had the trailer returned by 10:30am. We told him about our call with Phil, and he continued to be rude trying to get us to drop it off by 12pm. When we said we wouldn't do that he hung up on us. When we got to the uhaul drop off location they wouldn't refund the $50 and continued to show poor customer service. This experience has ruined our relationship with uhaul, and I'm sure we won't be using uhaul in the future unless this is resolved. We have moved roughly 10 times in the last 7 years, and we have been very loyal customers.

There was a slight cigarette smell, but that would be more of the driver before. This location knew that we were traveling 1400 miles and worked to get us the newest truck. The dolly we got with the U-Haul wasn't used. Our loaders had their own and the unloaders had a better one from Costco.

They didn't seem to know what we had reserved. They didn't put the dolly on the truck. They did refund it, but we paid $12 and they only refunded $10.

When we moved to Idaho Falls, we used U-Haul's storage facilities because we had used them in Boise, and had no issues. The Idaho Falls facility was always clean, and the staff were always friendly. We paid extra for 24 hour access, which never worked. We tried using our cards, inputting our access codes, all to no avail. We brought this up with staff on three occasions. The first time, we were told the cards had not been updated, and that the issue was resolved. However, a couple months later, on the next after-hours visit across town, our access was still restricted. When we approached a staff member about this on our next regular hour visit, we were told that they could not see a reason for the restriction; it appeared to be in force. Since we had been paying for this access, for several months, without it functioning properly, I requested it canceled. When I asked for a refund, I was given non-answers. I was so fed up, that I just left. When we finally closed on our home, and vacated our units, I mentioned the incident, again. I was again given a non-answer. I may use another U-Haul facility in the future, however, I will not use this location again.
