THE RATING IS FOR UHAUL'S EPIC FAILURE, IT IS NOT DIRECTED AT THE PICKUP OR DROP OFF. I bought a UTV, so I reseved a toy hauler trailer. Whomever approved the design has never owned a UTV apparently. My Polaris ranger mathematically would not load. We were forced to go to home depot and buy a pair of ramps for $134/142 after tax to load a SXS onto a trailer. With the ramps, the SXS would have fit in my truck bed. This is TOTAL false advertising. I FAR rather would have just put it in my bed than having to drive 30 miles to buy a 1 time use ramp when I rented a trailer that should have come with the ability to load what it's advertised for. Even the guy at winnemucca when I dropped it off agreed, it's what he would have rented for the purpose but would have told any client the ramps won't work for that, SERIOUSLY???? Not his fault but to also not nclue tlatraps on what amount down to a drive over car trailer is total BS. Absolutely feel this is a refund scenario. I'll gladly upload photos of the design failure and my receipt for the (should have been totally unnecessary) ramps.

Sad to say after 8 years of doing TONS of business with Uhaul I no longer will be. They overcharged me for miles I KNOW I did not put on the truck and refuse to work with me on this. VERY bad reason to lose business with someone who has, and would have continued to do business with them on a very regular basis. Do NOT recommend.

I am taking the time to write this to offer feedback and help with location improvement. I rent once every 3-5 years so I really don't carte that much... My story- I stopped in the day prior to needing the trailer and received excellent help. I parked in the customer parking. The following day when picking up I pulled into the area which I guess is only for drop off/returns. I mistakenly assumed it was also for pick up. I was the only customer there so it was not busy and I was not blocking someone dropping off. After confirming the reservation and paying, the male worker didn't like where I was parked and sarcastically said something like "I guess we are giving you valet service" which was sort of a rude comment. He didn't laugh or giggle like he was teasing me. He could have just said, "Hey, FYI, this area where the canopy is, is for drop-offs only". I would have said "Oops, sorry about that. Let me move it." Being a business person myself, I understand customers can be annoying. But that smart ass comment did not make a good impression. It was not necessary. So, even though I would recommend this place to others, I will remember that comment and maybe just go (or tell others) to the Ammon location even though it would be a little bit of a further drive.

I was supposed to pick my stuff up at a different location. They called me a few days before and told me that the trailer wasn't there and that I had to drive twice as far to get one. not apologetic at all that they just destroyed my moving plans. (not really this locations fault)
when I picked up my trailer, I had paid for moving blankets and when I got home, there were none in the trailer. Really frustrating from everyone involved.

The manager, Nate I believe, was rude and condescending to the staff member that was helping me, I feel bad that I can't remember her name. I believe she may have been the assistant manager. I had asked a question regarding rate and she asked the manager for clarification. He was rude and impatient. He didn't listen to the question or try to understand what was being asked. he cut her off and snapped at her. His tone was loud and made me uncomfortable. Not impressed by his piss poor attitude. Gratefully when I returned the U-Haul the same young lady was there to check me in, and the manager wasn't around. I can easily recommend the location as long as I don't have to deal with the manager. The manager for the hitch side was great to talk with. It was the rental office guy that I can't stand. He owes his employee an apology and could benefit greatly from some training on how to better communicate with patience. Maybe read the book Servant Leader or Emotional Intelligence 2.0, could prove valuable. The lady that checked me ina nd out was amazing. She had a great attitude and was positive despite the crappy manager.

The truck rode like absolute garbage & had an annoying fan belt (?) whine when stopped. The appliance dolly I rented was non operational in that the belts that are supposed to help glide the object down stairs were old, frayed and didn’t rotate, so in addition to making the job harder because we had to manually carry everything down stairs he stairs, the non rotating belts left marks on the new carpet from rubbing instead of moving.

The man at the desk greeted us when we walked in the door and let us know he could help us at his computer. He looked up our reservation and walked us to the keypad where he showed us how to access the unit. Apparently the drop off location was wrong but I had put the location I intended into the app. After doing everything I was supposed to at the drop off, I spent an hour on the phone with U-Haul explaining the situation. It was my understanding that it was their fault and I didn’t have to pay the wrong drop off fee however, I got a call from the pick up location, asking to pay the wrong drop off fee. This is ridiculous.

I spent two hours trying to get the lights to work after I got home. They just told me everything worked. I ended up buying a new wire harness for it to make it work. There was damage on the trailer by the ramp that ended up destroying a tire. When I dropped it off all I got was that’s a crappy deal that you had to fix all that and sorry about the tire.

The place itself was well lit. but there was no lighting in the unit itself which made it dark to work in.
I called and got the main office, to see if I could keep my school things in for 1 day more. I am a teacher and they built a new school and we couldn't move until Aug 12. I asked the director if I could move things into the middle of my room on Aug. 7th and he said yes. the main office of U-haul said if I didn't have things out by aug 6th they would charge me a full months rent. I thought that was bad business.

There was no overhead lighting. Expensive for the size of the unit. Maybe 8x12 feet 140.00. I located a 10 x20x 10’ high for 90.00. A new facility I could drive right up to instead of using push carts and going down 3 corridors.

We’ve had a storage unit at this facility since 2015. On August 1st, we moved from one unit to another. Luis helped us.
It turns out, that we got moved out but never moved into the new unit on your system! Sunday we attempted to enter our unit and were told that we weren’t customers. It went downhill from there. EVEN THIS EMAIL ADDRESS SHOYLD NOT BE ASSOCIATED WITH OUR ACCOUNT. Now, I’m going to have to go back in fix this again.

I have inside storage and it supposed to be secure but for some reason my storage still got broken into and some of my stuff got stolen,ask them if theres any security cameras on that side of the building but there isnt ,ask them if they gonna fix the hole where they use to enter the storage they said they will 6 months later still there.

The building is great. People are nice. The only complaint I had was billing. I couldn't keep track of my balance easily, you need an app. I was making double payments for months and was still told I was not up to date. Even when I closed it out, I was told I had till the 25th, but I was refunded over $90. I was never sure what my balance really was. It's like they purposely make it confusing so they can confiscate your stuff. I don't think I'll use storage here in the future.

This particular storage unit is a converted truck bed. The unit is fine but the problem is that the opening latch lever where the lock goes is now at ground level (on the regular truck, it is at waste level). Being at ground level it is very difficult to lock and unlock the lock. The opening latch lever on mine also had to be pushed down to get the lock holes to line up. This is difficult for one person while locking at the same time. I would not recommend a unit with this lock location to anyone.

I love the Staff there at UHaul, they are so interested in me myself, friendly, answered all my questions. I hurt my hand and th
e young man who helped me yesterday saw my hand and was concerned I would hurt it if I helped him carry the heavy container, I was late in paying my bill but they were so kind over that too and so cheerful. I love the climate control storage they have and their prices are within my budget. I highly recommend UHaul and their staff. Awesome people, every one of them.

I was there afterhours reorganizing. And I was approached by the facility manager and a sales associate claiming I was living in the unit.
Also, I notified the facility I was moving out. A day before I moved out my passcode was terminated I was still paid up one extra day. They automatically assume I was not going to pay my bill and lock up my stuff. Wrong!!! While moving out my stuff on a sunday they came to me ans told me that I would have to come back on the next day to finish. Because my code was canceled and they wabted to go home for the eveing.
I had every right to stay and finish moving out my belongings. I was a customer over a year. My rental payment were never late. I alway ckean my bin and everything around it.

This is the third time I have rented a storage unit at this location. The service in the past has been ok, but the people in the past didn't always seem like they had enough support, maybe understaffed, slow, poor knowledge of the computer system. Overall, a lackluster experience
In contrast, My experience yesterday was excellent! A guy named Kristopher checked me in, he was very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The whole process was quick. A very sweet girl named Holly showed me to my rental unit. I really appreciated the service I received yesterday, thank you for making it easy!

We sold our house. The new one isn’t ready to move into so we are staying in one of the kids basements. My husband is having surgery. We have to move our things from the unit the day before. In all of the confusion we can’t find the keys to the lock. It’s our lock. We just need to get the unit unloaded before my husband has surgery on his arm and is incapacitated for 6 months. We apparently missed the fine print that says we can’t cut our own lock off of the unit. Your security man acted like we had breeched a nuclear facility The staff will grant us access to our stuff for a few dollars Or.... we can pay a complete stranger to breech the lock. This seems unethical and at least nonsensical. It most certainly showed a lack of compassion. What is the point of this policy anyway? It has to be to generate revenue as preventing theft has been covered with the security cameras and the responsiveness of your security man.

Your staff truly made this a wonderful experience! Everybody was so friendly and helpful. Every time I walked in with a question somebody was attentive. I was able to get in the facilities as often as I needed to and it is so clean and smelled fresh! The floors looked like they are mopped frequently. The paint is pristine. So impressed!
