I was contacted yesterday with the claim that I hadn't turned the truck in. I returned it the same day. I turned the truck in with the odometer ending in 52. I was charged for it ending in 67. The transmission on the truck is going out. Could hardly get it to change gear.Jaya G.

I waited for almost 2 hours to get a truck, not in line, but at the counter. I was in the process of moving and they call me telling me that they messed up the system. I had the contract in my hands, money was taken from my account. I went back to avoid any bullshit. They tried to charge me twice because they duplicated the reservation and forgot. After waiting another hour or so the manager greeted me and said "don't worry, I'll take care of you". She did not, she promptly left. The mechanic from the back came up and fixed it in two minutes. The truck had no gas in it so I had to fill it up. I drove it 58 miles making 1 stop for a water. Upon arrival, the trucks miles were recorded wrong, and I had to pay for 200 miles. Even with proof of a map, they refused to work with me. I don't want a handout, but I had already been almost charged twice initially. Now, I have to pay almost 3x the miles I actually used, filling the truck up with gas. Twice. This was an awful experience. For what I paid, I could have bought a box truck from CL. I treated the employees with respect and did not raise my voice, but I'm out almost $200 over what I should have paid. I'm so relieved that I'll never have to use the Veterans Memorial u-haul again.ADAM F.

I gave the man at the counter the entire itinerary for the whole trip and he wrote the contract for less miles that the minimum I could have accomplished the drive in so I started the rental in the hole. Don't even get me started on the state of you customer service reps. The rest is just too much to type out. If you would like to discuss it please feel free to give me a call at the number in the contract. However at this point I don' t think there ever be a time where I will use uhaul again.PETER B.

Was given a truck with a cracked windshield. The crack was right in my field of vision. Made the 1000 mile move just a bit difficult, having to either crane my neck to look over the crack or slump down in the seat to under it. In pouring down rain and horrible road conditions (thanks Louisiana!), it contributed to making the journey quite unnerving. Truck also smelled of air freshener and cigarettes. Other than those two issues, I was very well taken care of. Customer service was excellent, and even though my truck wasn't ready at the appointed time and at the appointed pick up location, I was still able to get a truck from another location that was close by. We made it to our destination in one piece, so it's a win even with the issues.Jennifer J.

The truck rental experience was awesum but STORAGE ummm I only had stuff in 1 month and 2 days could not even get any money back for the rest of month but whatever sooo got things out and home had ROACHES coming out of my stuff never had any BUGS I should of known when I killed a ROACH in the hallway So maybe since there was no refund given you guys should use that for PEST CONTROLwendy j. | Overall Experience

The girl working was DID NOT WANT TO WORK. I feel like it was a horrible experience from the moment I arrived until I walked out of the lobby. First off, the poor guy in front of me was rented the wrong piece of equipment and the lady kept making it clear that she would NOT give him a refund. Loudly. Then a few days before when I reserved my truck online, I also reserved a $7 dolly with it. Well the lady then tells me they only have $10 dollys and I can be charged extra. I told her I didn't feel like it was my fault they didn't have the equipment I reserved and then all of asudden she remembered they had a $7 one in a truck and went outside to actually do her job. I feel like it was some type of scheme to get me to pay more? Even if it's $3 more it was still the fact that that was her aim. Felt annoyed and ripped off leaving. Pd 882.00 one way was kinda hoping to get some money back but didn't but did get a month free of storage and my only concern with that is I got a small one that was on top but wanted one on floor level but had no choice to take top my concern is safety it was very difficult to climb up that ladder with no safety features and could of fallen also seen roaches climbing on outside of wall you guys may want to call pest control but other than that I mean I got here so thankswendy j. | First Impressions
Please clean the vehicle before renting it out as there was so much hair stuck on the fabric seat on the drivers side, I had to use a cover on the seat in order to drive it. Also, the type of van I had rented and was guaranteed was not there when I arrived. The van I was given was the only one on the entire lot.Dovie W.

Due to covid we have to wear masks. The staff was not wearing a mask. And they were eating... I brought it to their attention about the masks being necessary and they said " oh yea but" and continued eating.. Some 4 more customers came in without masks and they didnt tell them anything. I ecpressed how i had lost 2 family members of covid and 23 friends and maks were necessaty and they laughed it off...
