I reserved a truck online and l was the 1st person in when it opened. I needed to switch to a 10ft truck. I was told one was available but that it would take about 10 minutes to check in and clean up. This location was very busy and only 1 person working. 1 1/2 hours later I finally got a filthy truck. The manager finally came to the front of counter after the rush was over, decided to argue with me, telling me I didn't understand and she was trying to help. That wasn't true. However she said she would comp the milage "customer service" when the gal was finally checking me out, I was confused why she was asking me for milage estimate, I said the manager said she would comp the milage because of the long wait.. The gal had to confirm with manager,, however,, manager said milage rate would be at 34 cents a mile, no comp here! I just wanted to get the truck and get to work. I had the truck for 6 hours, but I received a text message 30 minutes after I left the premises saying I had to return the truck in 4 hours!!!WHAT??? It took almost an hour to return this truck, that poor gal kept asking the male working to help, he left twice saying he needed to chek something...I know this is long review but you need to know! I received my receipt, they charged me full price for milage. DO NOT GO TO THE UHAUL ON 102 VETERANS MEMORIAL, KILLEEN, TEXAS. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!Karin H.

No actual content inside the uhaul however, the cup holder was sticky and looked like no one wiped it down, including the seats and steering wheel. We asked for a dolly and she said ok, we get home and no dolly. I drive back, after I waited on the phone line for 15+ minutes, all for them to tell us they have non available. Offered us a dolly that belonged to somebody else, with a wobbly wheel, sheeshh! So, we took the dolly, that didn't last long at all and we just bought our own! I don't come too this one at all , I was sent here because the one on central TX expwy didn't have any available. I'll never come back to this one on Veterans again! I was a little upset about how we were handled once it was time to drop off the truck. We were told that we could drop off at any location. When we arrived to the West Stan shulueter location, the lady did not display the best customer service. She did not apologize for the misunderstanding she brushed us off in a very unprofessional way. The lady was a black heavy set lady and that told us she didn't have space. She proceeded to say â€œ I don't know what to tell you, if I can't take it I can't take it.â€ She came out the door without empathy when she saw us. Uhaul as a company was not bad but her approach to the situation made me never want to use Uhaul again. Empathy and apologizing for the company's mistakes makes a huge difference.TIERRA H.

the problem was not at the local offices but the 800# reversation system. I reserved a 26' truck and auto dolly which I was told would work with my vehicle. the pickup location was 1/2mi from house but the day before I was to pick up got a call stating I would have to drive 40 mi to killeen to pick up truck and after 4-5 hours on phone finally got the correct car transport but was being charged double, on the day of pick up spent another hour on the phone to get the price fixed as they made 2 separate contracts causing the price to double. this has been the worst experience I have encountered and thru work we rent Penske trucks and never have any issues to the point if I need to move in the future I would pay the extra to have a great rental experience. the clerks at the locations were great and tried to help.Richard R.

Employees are not only, not helpful, but not attentive. I walked into the store and waited at the counter for probably 20 min so I could pick up a vehicle I had reserved online. The vehicle was not prepared. While I was waiting an employee stacked boxes right behind me. Didn't bother to say a word to me, or go find someone to help me. Assuming the reason she didn't being she wasn't able to conduct orders? The employee that helped me seemed to not know what he was doing, but he could have been new. The girl who was stacking boxes came and helped him out. But even she didn't seem to know. I waited for almost 2 hours to get a truck, not in line, but at the counter. I was in the process of moving and they call me telling me that they messed up the system. I had the contract in my hands, money was taken from my account. I went back to avoid any bullshit. They tried to charge me twice because they duplicated the reservation and forgot. After waiting another hour or so the manager greeted me and said "don't worry, I'll take care of you". She did not, she promptly left. The mechanic from the back came up and fixed it in two minutes. The truck had no gas in it so I had to fill it up. I drove it 58 miles making 1 stop for a water. Upon arrival, the trucks miles were recorded wrong, and I had to pay for 200 miles. Even with proof of a map, they refused to work with me. I don't want a handout, but I had already been almost charged twice initially. Now, I have to pay almost 3x the miles I actually used, filling the truck up with gas. Twice. This was an awful experience. For what I paid, I could have bought a box truck from CL. I treated the employees with respect and did not raise my voice, but I'm out almost $200 over what I should have paid. I'm so relieved that I'll never have to use the Veterans Memorial u-haul again.ADAM F.

Due to covid we have to wear masks. The staff was not wearing a mask. And they were eating...
