When I picked up my rental I was told it had 7/8 of a tank , when I left with it I only noticed the mark it was on and trusted the employee. I drove 16 miles total , I assumed 5 miles per gallon so I put 3.5 gallons in before returning the truck â€¦.. When I was returning it I was told there was a shortage and I was to partly an extra 28.50 for fuel charge . Of course that upset me as I only drove 16 miles and put 3.5 miles in and returned it above the mark I seen on the fuel guage , which was actually more fuel than I received it with. The employee corrected the charge to 12 dollars or so for the fuel shortage. But I am still angry.Terry E.

Pick up was a breeze. Return, not so much... I arrived at the return location several minutes before closing and found the doors locked, and I saw at least 2 others returning then, too. I wasn't sure where to park the thing, until employees walked out of the locked door at closing time and pointed to a spot at the back of the lot.SCOTT B.

I signed up for the auto pick up. The truck was parked in the very back, with no way to exit the parking lot. I had to drive across the grass to get out. Also, I reserved 2 furniture dollies which were not included in the truck. So I had to move several large pieces of furniture without them. When I informed the employee of all this at the return, he just made excuses about how late they'd worked the night before. Very frustrating.Matthew K.

A cleaning fee was assessed on my return. I enquired but the location was unable to provide pictures of what was "dirty". The truck and trailer were returned in better condition that they were issued. Please advise, I will be reaching out shortly.Mike O.

After having confirmed several times with various representatives that the items we reserved including a car transport, the truck itself and a dolly were available on site, my son arrived to find that they didn't seem to know who he was or what he was there for and that they weren't even sure they had a car transport until they went and looked in the back. We had already rescheduled this appointment several times so there was no reason it shouldn't have been already checked ahead of time to make sure everything was in stock. They did end up finding the car transport but we're not very helpful in explaining how the process worked. I was told that somebody could take care of this for him since he had never used one before and had no help. I was told they would do this for an extra $20 but nobody even offered to do that for him. He drove all the way back to his former house that he was moving from (about 15 to 20 minutes away) and realized that he was not given the dolly that we had paid for. He did not want to spend the money on gas to come back for it nor did he have time. We would appreciate a credit to my credit card as I was the one that paid for it. For starters have the equipment where you say it's going to be. My paper work, receipts, didn't have this location listed. Nor did I receive any communications that my pickup location had been changed. Wasted my time, my wifes time, fuel and money. This has happened before. No communication and ever changing locations. Customer service was not great. No direct numbers for U-haul locations. Frequent redirecting of calls and ringing without answer. Long times on hold. Lots of misinformation and incorrect billing that I needed to sort through and correct. Last minute rescheduling and delays at almost every step of the process. Lost track of my U-box. But U-haul gave me $50 for every day that my U-box was late. That seemed fair. And it did eventually arrive with contents intact. Luckily this was not a time sensitive delivery, though, or it would have been a disaster.jennie T.

There were 3 workers at the counter with a line of people and only one worker was helping customers while the other two talked. Waited 10 minutes in line just to ask a question for the workers to all go outside with a customer to a vehicle and proceed to take forever with. I ended up just blurting it out in the parking lot because the customer service was horrible. They did back my truck out of a tight spot for me which i appreciated.Kaylee K.

When I made the rental, I explained that I was moving from a 4 bdrm hous to a 4 bdrm house and yet there person offered a 15 ft truck, a little bigger truck would have been better. Other that that our move went smoothly.Maggie Z.

The 5x9 trailer I rented for 3 days had one tail light not working. I told the sales person that I did not see a tail light she asked me to turn on the emergency flashers and told me they were working. I got home and checked. No tail light on the drivers side. I called U-haul to trade the trailer and was told they were closing in 18 minutes. I was 30 minutes away.James C.

The move-in staff in the morning was very accommodating and wonderful and very much helpful. In the afternoon it became more of an issue when I had a few questions for the afternoon crew and really didn’t get any answers. The storage space was rather expensive. The best thing about it was it’s on the first floor and by the door in the back of the building.
