Company has a driver shortage. I was given an arrival time that was switched to the next day. My time was between 8:00am-4:00pm. All day. Driver did arrive at 4:00pm. Drop off occurred. You need to staff up. All day wait time the day after was unacceptable

I was unable to access my storage unit for over three hours after the stated 5am access time. I texted the after hours numbers, there are two listed, and got no reply. I was told by an associate over the phone that the Supervisor for the entire district would be in touch to get me a unit outside after this awful experience. I was told that Supervisor was named Jamie and if Jamie did not get back to me by yesterday, they would this morning. It’s 11am. Uhaul obviously doesn’t care about time or customers. Assistant manager showed up yesterday and said they didn’t have to open the slider until 9am but there was a door. I put my code in in the door too. Asssistant manager said I should have been given a card to use. I never was. Never got a reply from the Manager listed as the contact for after hours because apparently that doesn’t count for Sunday when they are off and don’t have to check the numbers they listed. And Uhaul has no back up contact in place, including that Asssitant Manager who showed up at 8:25am. Awful experience. Still waiting for proper compensation and actual follow up.

Just took so long for everything, and I had to be on the phone with support for an hour. Within this hour we tired to open 5 locks and only opened 2 because ether were all rusted and not maintained. One of the boxes had no keys and the other box with the keys was for a different truck. Very unprofessional and I’m very disappointed and dissatisfied with everything. I paid for 11 hours and wasted around 1 1/2 before I could even drive the truck

Whenever I am in need of a truck or moving van I always go to the U Haul on Jefferson in Murrieta, I try to reserve the equipment online ahead of time so I know it will be available and that works great, but if you don't reserve it in advance, if they have what you need available they will be happy to rent it to you. The staff is always very kind and helpful and the equipment is always clean and ready to use! Thank you for everything!

Clarification of return process - it appeared several trucks had been returned and were being moved from the return line, however it was a bit unclear on what I was to do with the trailer. The young staff here is very courteous and get you in and out and i am not patient. Been there 2 times in the last 2 weeks and rented a trailor both times. Bet they have a great manager.

We received conflicting U-Haul communications throughout the reservation, confirmation and execution phases of our move. There were two separate U-box pickup dates scheduled, and after we completed the first one the second date was canceled causing undue grief (we were told that the boxes were no longer required per comments made at the first drop-off, and this is not true). Once that was rectified, there were conflicting dates and information on the transportation and delivery of the U-boxes. Local issues with drivers/trucks made the delivery and subsequent pickup at our new home very difficult to gauge. Upon unloading the boxes at our new home, one of them was completely disintegrating and was difficult to manage (also, allowed some moisture in that damaged some items). We also discovered that we would be charged an extra month's rent on two of the boxes because they were scheduled for pickup THE DAY the next month began. This was never made clear when we made the initial reservation and set the dates. Had we known, we would have made an effort to release the boxes sooner (basically we were charged for a month of 'storage' that we never used). At a corporate level, the app is useless and was never used to rely on anything during our move (we went online for the majority of the information we needed). With all this said, we did like the concept of the U-boxes (easy to pack and more manageable than standard 'pods'), the reasonable transportation costs, and the fact that 98% of our belongings were in the exact condition as when we left.

The facilities were fine, but the continual price raises became way too burdensome. Feels like u-haul knew that it is a big deal to have to move your stuff elsewhere and used it to keep raising prices. They finally pushed too far and we made the decision to move to another facility equal to them but WAY cheaper, even after the first couple months being discounted. Don't be greedy!

I had numerous instances where I traveled 1.5 hours to load my unit and was time sensitive and some lady was cleaning in front of my unit so it was all wet, no wet signs and the smell was horrible. Chemical cleaners were giving me a headache and this was during peak hours. This made it difficult to arrange my things on a wet floor as well as me bringing in heavy items where I had the potential to slip. I brought this up to the front office and they just said we were trying out a new cleaning lady. They were not very supportive to my issues and the cleaning lady and one female who worked there laughed sarcastically at my concerns.

Some of the staff members were OK some were not when I turned my truck in. Nobody took the time to go over there and look at the mileage and anything I was waiting in the office there for about 40 minutes so she finally came back and said are you waiting on something? Yes I’m waiting for my final bill. I closed out early and nobody said anything about probation and keeping my money that is not fair and that is not correct. I have 12 days coming back. I moved out 12 days early.

Price went up 15 times. Is spent $14,000.00 to store $2,000.00 worth of stuff. Worst decision of my life. If i could go back 6 years to give my younger self valuable life advise it would be to not store anything in a storage locker.

my experience with U-Haul has been a good experience unfortunately I had to give up my storage unit 2128 due to the fact of financial strain, having to make a choice on my heart medication or continue to keep my storage, which in this case I could not afford both That said I’m very thankful for the help and understanding with you all and management team facilities in Marietta, California. They were very understanding and showed great concern about my well-being and I will never forget this. I’m thankful for the professionalism and the management understanding my situation. I’m being charged for the first month even though I had a one way trip with U-Haul and was told I wouldn’t have to. I was sent to wrong U-Haul to un load and had to drive to another one where I originally thought my haul was but the individual who provided me U-Haul gave me prior address. Once there it was not a drive up storage unit in fact my unit was on the second level. And we had to carry it up the stairs even being on first level would have been better. Next I still have not been contacted in regards to my refund even though facility manger has supposedly been contacting by U-Haul customer service overall the experience was already stressful and the app really no help at all very inconvenient actually and I use apps so I it’s not my lack of technical knowledge but I will say it was clean inside and outside of unit

This is the first time in the last three years and 2nd move with probably 12 or more truck/trailer rentals that anyone has pointed out the gallon estimate on rental agreement to bring back tank to for instance to 3/8 upon return. When I first rented out the storage unit, my plan was to rent for 8 months. Eight months became almost four years. The staff at the Murrieta-Jefferson U-Haul were always professional and kind. The facility was clean, secure, and easy to load/unload. Initiating and terminating the rental agreement was simple and fast. My only complaint is that U-Haul continued raising the rates higher than the rate of inflation over the four years.

Uhaul’s rates are reasonable and they don’t upcharge you every 3 months like public storage. Also the staff is always available and helpful. The facility is clean and well taken care of. Renting a truck was a breeze.

I was so relieved to deal with Caroline and Tom regarding a total mess created by movers contracted & my truck rental. Caroline called me to explain what had happened with the truck and that the movers did not return it and it was a mess with my items still left thrown all around 5 days after the return. I was out of state, returned and went to the office on Jefferson in Murrieta, Ca. They were so accommodating and sympathetic to my issue and accumulated fees and were so kind and they provided me the utmost customer service and respect. I was being evicted from my apartment and didn't have many other options at that time your storage was a great fit. 24 hour access and close. I am on social security and only get paid once a month my due date and payment date were to far apart. I tried for years to get your office to work with me to do anything to change my due date so I wouldn't keep getting charged late fees. They would never even consider any other options. I am disabled and didn't have the ability to physically move the items myself and no help to move the stuff either. I paid hundreds maybe even thousands of extra dollars in extra fees because your company refused to work with a 6 year customer. No customer appreciation whatsoever! Also, the office staff at this location is as absolute joke! The first thing is they NEVER answer the phones or return phone calls. When you email or call the 800 uhaul number and they tell you they will have someone call you. THEY DON'T! If they decide to do random collection calls and you ask for more information or something else they promise to have someone else follow up with you. THEY DON'T! When we were moving out, we were sorting and stacking our items. We left a clear driving path. An employee comes around and tells us to move the items further back so people can pass through. We informed her we had been at it for hours and people have been going through all day with no problem. She had to step aside so a car could come through. She still responds just move it a little further back please in a "tone" and walks off. We were completely done and leaving I was driving the 26 foot truck, trying to safely maneuver it to park so I could go in the office and close out the unit. My husband was on the other side of the truck trying to direct me into a park. An employee was approaching on the far side of the truck telling me to keep going he was getting ready to pull out one of the parked trucks. I'm trying to acknowledged him as well as get my husband's attention to inform him. The employee is continuing to walk and yelling to keep moving he's going to pull out a truck. Very loud and extremely rude. Again I'm in a noisy 26 foot truck, the location is on a loud high traffic street, and my husband is 64 years old and deaf in 1 ear and this guy is being very rude he has to move his truck. Over the years the staff at this location have always been less than friendly! I don't belive that's the uhaul standard. We picked up a truck from Menifee, great experience! Turned it in in Las Vegas, no problems. Can't say the same for your location!

The 1st month free storage option was a life saver to us. It very much made renting the truck from uhaul a no-brainer. The card scan function at the front of the facility was interesting and I am sure the security team in charge of rigging over 100 personal storage gates had a challenge. The navigation around the complex has always been problematic. The staging of trucks, pods, on one way access and exit roads and the what can only be described as pac-man maze To get in and get out, to and from storage. A couple time one must take car off-road (rocks) to leave and get in to the only side entrance to storage building, and the narrow opening to get vehicles — including small to medium moving boxes trucks could be risky for the new renters if box. Staging empty trailers in or near the two or three retail parking is not ideal. I watched a small car back in to a bumper-level tripod holding neck, knocking it off To hit the ground, When moving out of a unit it would be “friendly” to offer a store credit to offset proration that isn’t returned when checking out a couple weeks early. It’s a common practice elsewhere but u-haul is the leader. When paying rent in advance it is a nice incentive to pay for 12 and get the 13 month equivalent credit. However, my experience it required intervention and reminders by me to assure the credit was taken and transparent. I’d rent again and location is ideal for area. If you use mystery shoppers to monitor and improve look to monitor those areas

The staff at the Uhaul location were helpful. However I am very dissatisfied with the company reservation policy. I provided my credit card info and move in date when I placed the reservation over the phone with customer service over the phone. They explained that this will reserve my unit that they said was available. When I went to the Uhaul site to check my storage unit and finalize payment for my reservation the unit was not even available! I was told it was just a waiting list not an actual reservation. This is not acceptable and this process is misleading and should be corrected!!!

My rating is not about the people at the facility but rather that U-Haul overbooked the storage facility and our space was not available when we got there. We had helpers hired and were paying them while a resolution was sought. They called the next closest facility but the space wasn’t as large and we couldn’t fit all our items into it. They didn’t have a smaller unit so we had to rent another one elsewhere. We were late to an appointment because of all the extra travel time. Altogether a very bad experience

The staff is helpful and interactive. Sometimes there might not be enough staff but that is business. I always feel like I am important to the business/company so I keep going back. I will do so next weekend too. I wish there were more storage units available.

The only comment I can add is that the price is a little high and I feel that you should only pay for the time you use the unit. I would have preferred a pro rated money return on unused time in the rental.

Often times the staff at the desk were unprofessional and even rude at times and on two occasions refused to wear a mask during this Covid 19. To be clear; some members of the staff were concerned bract professional and helpful, but often times not.

Fantastic! This place is absolutely amazing, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The facility is very convenient. The unloading area is shaded, and the facility itself is air conditioned. Dollies make taking boxes and heavy items to the storage locker a breeze, and the stairs to the second level are minimal. Returning the truck was painless and quick. I absolutely recommend this Uhaul.

They scammed me! Charged me for storage when I told them I did not want storage! Extra $129.95 and lied to me!!! I disputed the “extra charge” with my bank. Andrew at Murrieta,Ca location (Manager) Lied said he would not do a credit for it. Said he would send me to collections if I disputed it! Very horrible customer service!!!! I run a business and if Andrew worked for me he would be fired. Total charges one way trip 24 hrs. Just for a 10’ $19.95 truck they charged $330.00? Outrageous!!! I will never recommend them!! In fact the opposite! Thank you for your time.

Only issue was access. If there weren't any return rental vehicles blocking the main driveway, access would have been a bit easier to figure out. Unfortunately there wasn't any posted signage for the storage facility out back. Once I asked an employee it was explained how to get into the back lot.
