The people are helpful and location is good. The App and the website both do not work as intended. It took me 20 minutes struggling to be return online (I have all the error screenshots available) and eventually had to call 24/7 Customer service to report the issue. The invoice was correct.
Omid HIt’s not about the location, it’s about your advertising. 19.95 rental is at least 6 times too low. Why do it? Just be honest. It’s 19.95 if you rent, don’t insure and don’t drive. So rent and stay in our parking lot for 19.95. I figured it would be around 85 but what’s the point? So dumb.

Lasha ZBeing a weekend at the end of month, there was a lineup of customers out the door, waiting to see an agent. Also, only 2 agents were available. I checked in on line, thinking I would avoid the lineup, but not the case. Some customers took 10 or more minutes to get checked in. My wait in line was 20 minutes to see an agent, plus another 10 minutes to get the trailer hooked up. U Haul must have data for end of month rentals and should be staffed accordingly. Also, opening hours should be earlier than 9:00am to spread out and reduce the pickup wait.

HOSSEIN Kthere was a very long line when we got to the site to pick up the truck. Our pickup time was 10am, we didn't get the truck until 10:45am. Even though I had already checked in using the app, I had to give all the same information to the staff member again. When we were dropping off there was another long line to just drop the truck off. At least 6 other people waiting for staff to help them with drop off.
Joy Mfewer steps in reservation process. All of the upsell screens were annoying. Would prefer to pick up a vehicle with gas tank full. I did appreciate the refueling estimated gas refill amounts though.
Leslie COverall the service was excellent and the van was well maintained. The only confusing part was actually retrieving the van once we set up the info with the clerk inside who told us to go outside and see the guy. There were a few men working on the lot but it was confusing who to go up to to ask for our vehicle. Just a small observation. We stood there waiting for someone to come to us for a few minutes when we realized that we had to walk out to one of the crew cleaning a vehicle to ask which one was ours. Just an observation.

Shane NPrevious customer was several hours delayed in returning equipment. This was not staff's fault as they called the renter several times. I rent the 12' tandom trailer regularly (as does the tradesman who was late returning it). Staff informed me that North Van location only has one 12' trailer. It would be helpful to add a second trailer. On another note, I went online to reserve the trailer and when I arrived at 10 am was informed there was no reservation. Coincidentally the trailer was due back at 10am and I was able to make another reservation, but still waited almost 4 hours before the trailer was returned.
Ocean RThese comments are about the Langford dropoff location (976 Goldstream ave). The person who received the vehicle did not check my contract. I had to explain that there was a dolly and furniture pads. I anticipated a receipt or proof or return saying that they received the rental equipment and no damage was reported. This didn't happen.

Jeanette RI requested pick up at a different location, that was much more convenient for me. Told the day before, I needed to go to this one. Was OK, as someone gave me a ride, but not ideal. Truck was not ready when I arrived, despite having phoned to confirm before I headed there. (It was parked behind numerous others, requiring lots of moving around by worker. (Who squealed the wheels multiple times, just backing it back and forth out of the spot.) Had to wait about 1/2 hour before it was available for me to check over. One thing I did much appreciate. They changed the drop off location to one in my neighbourhood which was much better for drop off. Meant I could walk home. I tried to chose that location when booking, but it would not let me. I appreciated the chart given regarding how much gas would be needed to get back to my 3/4 tank starting point. However, it was not very accurate. I initially put in 10 litres less than it said, thinking I would check level at that point. I was already well over my starting point. (About 1/8 more.) So beware.

Tony ROnly used the 10' small truck for an hour and 14 km. Decided it was not worth it stopping by a gas station to put what surely would be less then a couple of liters back in. How much extra could it be, right? The needle barely moved. Well, somehow it was decided it moved 8 liters worth: $18.47 What a rip off.

Cornelia WI use U-Haul very often for my moving jobs, and I’ve been to many different locations. Most of them are good, but this location honestly stands out to me. The staff here are always kind, respectful, and very fast at helping customers. Every time I come here, the process is smooth and stress-free. I’ve never had any problems with them, and they consistently make the experience easy and professional. From my personal experience, this is one of the best U-Haul locations I’ve worked with. Highly recommended.

Ramin EI put gas in the truck and yet when I received my emailed receipt I saw that I was charged a fuel surcharge, despite the fact that the gas gauge was at the same level as when I picked up the truck. The person checking in the truck did not tell me this. I won't be renting from this location again.
Jeremy GYes, I'm really upset with your organization. Not the main St. N. Vancouver, BC location. They are great. BUT when I tried to book a truck online they were not included as an option. What game are you playing?? If this is some kind of internal business decision it's a bad one because you've made a customer mad. Hey you guys, the customer comes first!!!

Chris NThought I’ll be having a $25 discount if I tidy up the back of the truck with no mess which I did before dropping the key. There’s a sticker in the back about it. But I didn’t get the discount when I got my receipt thru email. This is not good. If it’s not valid anymore, then they should’ve removed that sticker. I should have left the mess inside if only I knew that I’m not getting any discount.

Rob PI did an online check-in as the lineup at the office was quite long. We had trouble finding our track because it was parked at a clean up station? A spot that was not where we were looking. A staff member outside was friendly and supportive. When we checked the track, the blankets I ordered were not in the track... so I had to grab the same staff again to ask. He said the ground crew won't get notified of this kind of order, which I found something your company should look at. I booked my truck weeks before and my order details could have easily shared and communicated among the staff.

KERRY MService was great. It was a Saturday morning at the beginning of the month so there was a bit of a line for pickup, but I’d provided all my info on line and things moved pretty quickly. Truck was in great shape and exactly what we needed. Drop off took about 5 minutes and the location has a conveniently close gas station to refill at before dropping off the rental. Overall excellent experience.
Margaret EEnglish was a second language for the two men hooking up the trailer. Communicating with them both was difficult. With the four pin connection, the right turn signal did not work on the trailer. When they plugged into my 7 pin connection, they said the the right turn signal worked. They told me to buy an adaptor - 7 to 4pin. With the adaptor installed, I drove away. Once at home and with the 4way flashers on, my 32 year old son told me that the right turn signal on the trailer was not working. After fixing the broken wire on the trailer.... Yeah let that sink in.... The right turn signal worked. Not only did they let me leave with out proper turn signals, they up sold me an adaptor that I did not need. Now on to the other issue. I booked pick up near my home at the SW Marine Street location. Not North Vancouver a 40 minute drive from home. the booking was made well enough in advance to have moved the trailer. BAD FORM U-HAUL......

The new doors look flimsy and the installer broke the door jam. My concerns about the security of my locker were brushed off by the employees. Security was horrible, day one my scan card didn’t work and I was told not to use anymore, just go inside without checking in.

I was informed the morning of my move that the van is no longer available. They switched me to the pickup truck. I called uhaul and said that I can't use the pickup truck, as it's too small for some of my furniture and it was going to pour rain all afternoon. I canceled the pickup truck (and the rest of my day was a nightmare as I scrambled to find ways to move my things) and asked for the $50 I get if my rented vehicle isn't available. The woman on the phone said that I couldn't get the $50 because they're offering me the pickup. She was argumentative and dismissive. She eventually agreed that I should get the $50 but she was rude. If you look at my file, she's the one that canceled my rental of the pickup truck. I recommend you listen to that tape.

There's ALWAYS a truck close to the storage where the staff is unloading stuff from it. Also on a side note, I once called this location from home. I was on hold for 20 minutes so I decided to drive up to the location... 15 mins later I get there, and I'm still on hold on the phone. There were no one in the office but the front desk person... he had the phone up so it doesn't ring... I'm like why don't u answer the phone... I've been on hold for like 35 mins. He's like this thing rings too much... I need a break from it... unbelievable how rude he was. I tell you, this is one of the worst managed uhaul locations U can ignore this, or do something about it. Go undercover if u have too... the level of crap your customers have to put up with in this location is unreal. Unprofessional. Do u want them carrying the uhaul name with such disrespect? How much do u respect and value ur company?

Firstly, the Uhaul Manager requests me to pay a $710.11 towing fee that I never order, and I never observe the towing service. It was extortion. The towing fee bill the not bill to Uhaul or a bill to myself. It was billed to a non-related third party, except has the truck that I rented's information. Many people rent that truck from time to time. I never request a towing service or observe a towing service. A towing service during the rental period also covered under the insurance contract as well. Uhaul has its own towing service under the contract if towing required. The Uhaul store manager said he paid the towing fee to a third party, so he needed to be charged to my account. It is unreasonable. I suggest the manager. I am afraid a third party was playing the game behind the scene for the sole purpose of financial gain. The RCMP and related organizations needs to investigate this type of Economic crime that takes advantage of the business and innocent people for the sole purpose of organized crime's financial gain.

Immediately, I had a rental van and a locker. The person behind the desk walked me to the locker, insured I knew how to enter with the cardlock..the guys helped me understand the working of the van..I really appreciate all the support and kindness ..super people work here.

Marlyn B | Overall ExperienceI moved out because there was mouse poop all over my unit and stuff with absolutely no food or traces of food anywhere in my unit. It didn’t get into any of my stuff after inspection, but poop was everywhere. I spoke with the manager and he didn’t really have anything to say about it, very much a “what do you want me to do about it” mentality. I asked for help cleaning it up as I didn’t have proper cleaning supplies and mouse poop is really dangerous for women to clean without proper protection, and the person he sent just wiped it off with a rag onto other stuff in my unit. One blanket needed to be thrown out because it was coated too much for me to feel comfortable to get it home to wash it. One lady, who was wonderful, apologized several times for it, but the manager didn’t seem bothered. I moved my stuff out the next day because I had some very expensive books, furniture and linens that I cannot risk vermin ruining. The manager telling me that he’ll clean the floors with peppermint oil more frequently to keep them away wasn’t comforting and clearly not working.

Victor L | Overall ExperienceI had a storage space at this location for about five years. In that time my monthly rent rose by more than 20%, which seems rather steep. My biggest issue is getting access onsite with a vehicle. Beings as it is a truck rental location the lot is very congested and it became highly inconvenient to gain access to the storage entry. The people onsite are very friendly but the experience became too much of a hassle to take things in and out, which I have to do from time to time. Just my experience.
