When customers return rentals during business hours, the final inspection should be conducted then and there. My rental apparently had two inspections, one while I was returning the vehicle and a second after I left that resulted in a $75 fine. With no way to defend myself, having already begun a move several hundred miles away, I had no choice but to take hit. If the business had said something while I was still at the facility, it might have been a different story. Ultimately, it felt a bit like I was being scammed out of extra money, whether that was the case or not.Robert A.

I had issues with my camera and your agent would not bypass the need for taking a photo of the front and back of my driver's license even though I had it right in front of her. I had an awful experience. I also filed a complaint and was told that someone had to reply within 48 hours and they still haven't called me! Next time I will use Penske even if it is more expensive. I had no problem with the staff, and my unit was secure, but the parking design is horrible, and the monthly rental is double what you pay just about anywhere else...not to mention the insurance is much more expensive too. For the hassle of having to maneuver vehicles into such a tight space, and a tiny little door to be used after hours plus having to scan a card to use the elevators...I just think the place should cost way less, and I definitely do not recommend the Uhaul at Fesslers Lane to anyone based on the parking lot.Daphne R. | Overall Experience

John and his team were wonderful to work with!!! My son had stored his personal belongs at this facility, shortly thereafter my son was involved in a horrific car accident. He has two broken ankles three surgeries so far with two to three more required. Broken back that required three surgeries, and multiple other injuries. He was in the Trauma unit at Vanderbilt for months. John worked with me on his storage and late fees that my son had accumulated due to the accident. John was extremely carrying and genuinely concerned and went way above the call of duty. John is the best Customer Service Manager that I have ever had the honor to work with. The customer service at this facility was above par. Tiffany was so accommodating and the facility was clean. The only recommendation I have ... we had no idea it was a multi-level storage unit. The loading area was very stressful. We were told we could "back in" and unload our belongings right into our unit. However, when we showed up ... it was unload our belongings onto a dolly and travel to an elevator, and then unload a level beneath ground. We had no idea it was a multi-level facility. The store staff were really good ans helpful. The people that answer phones ans generalized questions were Horrible !!! We got the truck without too many problems but as we were using the truck the entire thing became unresponsive for HOURS! The truck wouldn't start for anything we couldn't get in touch with anyone in order to get the truck moving. We ended up having to spend more time and money late into the night in order to get the truck operational. We took video evidence of the incident and will be seeking a refund for this awful experience. I've never been more disappointed.KIANNA H.

On 10/24/2020 I went to the Fesslers Lane location and it was the worst experience ever . There was a tall Caucasian man with a white mask on,that worked there who was extremely racist & angry towards me and my family . He even made my pregnant daughter stand outside for 10 minutes and when he finally came outside to address her he had a attitude and asked her what did she want . That was extremely unprofessional and she was hurt ; I don’t know if he was giving us attitude due to everything going on with Trump and Black Lives Matter but I did not appreciate it. He even tried to close the building at 6:50 instead of 7:00 and when we tried to talk to him he kept checking his watch and giving us attitude. This experience was horrible and we were racially profiled. There was one good worker who sensed our uncomfortable dispositions and helped us his name was David H on night shift and he was the best although he was injured he still went out of his way to help us and insure everything was okay . He reassured us that his coworker was always this way, which is unfortunate in a customer service position!On Morning shift , Mr.John was a extremely helpful and gave us candy and the lock to the storage unit. He was kind & overly helpful ! All of this is on your camera system & I hope it can be used to show future employees how not to treat paying, respectable, on time repeat or first time customers. Additionally, I had rented a simple $10 dolly for the trip and they did not have one. Reservations on the phone is a joke I was told I would have a 10/20/15 storage unit on the ground floor We get there and no reservations for any unit and was told no unit available. I planned a move for 4:30pm Saturday - 4:30 pm Sunday. When I got there they said they had accidentally booked my truck for the next day so I had to have it back by midnight. I was moving into a storage unit so they told me the doors closed at 10pm, then they told me the big doors closed at 7:30pm. I’ve worked and moved a lot with this company. In Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland and now Tennessee. The u haul storage facility on Fesslers dr in Nashville had the friendliest and most attentive staff. Ive interacted with 3 or 4 different team members at This location and was blown away by their friendliness and courtesy. My wife and I had to move a lot of items alone and the staff made it easy and seamless for us. This location is too small for all the traffic this location generates.. the customrr parking is almost non existent because of the 500 Uhaul trucks filling the lot. I literally waited on Fesslers Lane 10 minutes with my turn signal on before I could even turn into the lot. It was terrible experience.. I am sure this facility is even more wonderful than in my experience, but I was frustrated that the free month of storage for college students was not honored. Also, when I moved most of my things into the unit on 5/4/2020, the power to the facility was out and as such the elevators were not functioning. While this was not something that could be controlled by the employees, there were several times when staff members left the office empty. Upon checking out my unit the staff was not very attentive. They acted as if we were bothering them. Due to Covid 19 there was no face to face interaction which was fine but they literally watched us stand at the door for several minutes and gave us the finger to wait longer. There was sign that stated to call but their phones were not working. The lady didn’t check my unit and basically told me I was good and she would email the documents which she never did. The next day another lady called and asked had moved out. I advised her my account was suppose already be closed as of yesterday. The manager Tiffany was incredibly rude to me. She costed me an extra 1.5hrs on my move. When we originally came to the property with true friends, she said we were fine where we were. After the first hour, she was rude to my movers and me. She kept making them move the truck after my time had started. I understand the stresses of being a GM is being one myself, but that doesn't give the manager the right to yell and be rude to a customer that respectfully asks a question. Then she hangs up on me and refuses to give me a way to speak to her supervisor and continued to hang up on me for about 5-10 min. I mean she was incredibly rude. I will never use this location ever again. I don't understand why she was making my truck move all morning because she wasn't doing that on the night we moved in. I had to wait almost 2hrs to move in. That manager Tiffany needs some in depth customer service and anger management training. One of her associates even stated to me yesterday that Tiffany was going through a lot but it doesn't excuse the way she's been acting. I can't refer anyone I know to this location. I have a lot to say but I’ll run out of room. The parking and unloading area is so very inadequate, making the experience unbearable. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with U-Haul and would not recommend any Nashville TN U-Haul Storage to anyone. I have spoken to customer service about my experience with everything including the fact that the original facility in Nashville did not have a unit available for me even though I had a reservation and she saw it in the computer. I was there with a 26 foot truck and hired movers to empty it. She said there was nothing she could do and told me to try to get one at UHaul on Fesslers. I moved from 580 miles away and had to scramble to find a place to store my things. The 2 ladies who were working when I came in were both amazing. It was the end of the month and the place was packed with returns, rentals, locks having to be cut off, etc. I had reserved a unit that was way too small for what I had to store. They got me in the perfect sized unit and walked me through everything. Kudos to uhaul for hiring such amazing people!
