A week after turning in the truck you charged me a bogus $20 after hours fee. Trying to resolve this, I was on the phone twice, waiting to talk to someone for about 45 min ea time ( it said 15 to 20 min wait). I've given up and will dispute the charge on my cc.BERNARD R.
All of the uhaul personnel that helped me with every rental was exceptionally professional and courteous! I've rented 5 box trailers, a car hauler and a 26ft truck. The uhaul teams in Southern Ohio and North West Florida are Rockstars!!!JERIMIAH R.
I have lost over $300 due to this location (I went back a second time ) . I have never had theses issues before. I have used u-haul plenty of times (at other locations but also close) but when I went to the Colerain location (twice now) somehow $39.95 turns into $93.41, and my card was charged $195. I received an email telling me that the rental rate was $39.95 and the rental charge was also $39.95 but the total was $93.41 (we did have a dolly which is $7). I am very confused because my card was charged $195. I paid all of it ($195 ) because it was automatically taken , and yet somehow I still owe another $5.35. On top of it, the receipt sent via email only stated I only owned $110.41. This location has been the worst for me and I will not let this go lightly. The reservation process, customer service, and the changes to my original reservation were a complete DISASTER and for that reason, I would NEVER use or refer Uhaul; however, the customer service at this location made me feel better about how horrible this whole process was. Kudos to the young man that assisted us, if everyone else behaved in this manner, I would consider using Uhaul or referring them. My experience was so bad, I would welcome paying more than necessary to use the other moving companies. I guess the low price is why customer care is not a priority.Tafi E.

This was the worst rental experience ever. Trailer not available on time and to drive 40 minutes to pick up another. Trailer was dirty, damaged and obviously very old. At the time we went to pick up trailer there were many customers and only seemed like one person working. He didn't seem very friendly but I'm going to give benefit of doubt that perhaps he was a bit stressed due to so many customers coming at one time. UHaul took our reservation and the day before said they did not have a truck and we would have to drive from Oxford, Ohio to Cincinnati to get a truck if we wanted it. This was blatant bait and switch. An electronic reservation should never be able to be taken if the product is unavailable. This needs to be corrected in the UHaul system. In addition, UHaul should be contacting us to figure out how to make this right as it was not what was agreed upon and none of their staff was empowered enough to fix the problem of the failed corporate system.MICHAEL H.

I moved from Bedford, NH to Middletown, OH using your Uboxes. I made arrangements to have my Uboxes delivered to the Middletown location where I would move my belongings into a storage unit that I had reserved. I had a guaranteed delivery date in Middletown of May 5th. On April 29th I received an email saying that my boxes had arrived in Cincinnati. On May 1st I tried to call the Middletown location. There was no answer and I was redirected to the call center. I waited on hold for over an hour before being told that the woman's computer wasn't working and to call back in 5-10 minutes. I again tried the Middletown phone number, was again redirected, and again waited on hold for over an hour before being told that the computer system was down and I could not be helped. On May 2nd I again called the Middletown location, again was redirected to the call center, again waited on hold for over an hour, before being told that the woman could not get through to the Middletown location and I'd have to call back again. I asked to speak to a manager who then emailed the Middletown general manager and asked him to call me back as soon as possible. At this point I cancelled the movers I had scheduled for May 5th as it was clear I would not be able to access my belongings on this day as promised. On May 3rd I had not received any communication from the Middletown location. I again tried to call them, again was redirected, and again placed on hold. I hung up and used your online chat where I was told to call the scheduling center in Cincinnati. I called and was told that my boxes were sent to Cincinnati because Middletown "didn't have room" for them and that they were supposed to have called me to tell me that (I received no such call). The employee at the scheduling center said she would talk to her driver first thing the next morning and see what they could work out about getting my items delivered to Middletown and would call me back. On May 4th the employee at the scheduling center called me back and told me that she found out that the Middletown location DID have room for my boxes, but that there was an item being stored there taking up Ubox spots that shouldn't be and they did not take the time to resolve that issue. She said that the Uboxes could be delivered the next day and asked that I get movers for the 6th if possible so that the boxes could be removed that night. I called my original movers and they were not available for another week so I called around and found movers that could be there on the 7th (that cost $90 an hour more). I called the scheduling center and spoke to someone different and asked if that would be ok and if my boxes would still be there and accessable. He said "that should be fine" and ended the call. Having no faith in this answer, I called back shortly after to speak to the same employee I had been working with, she contacted the Middletown store to ensure my boxes would be ready for me to unload. On May 7th I arrived at the Middletown location at 8am. I was told that my storage unit reservation had been canceled as I had not claimed the unit within one day of my reservation (a stipulation I was never informed of). We took the time to find a new unit for me (a process which the employee was very unhelpful in my attempts to figure out what size would accomodate my items) and I was told the first month was free and I would not be charged until June 7th. At the end of the interaction I was told that the unit was "down the road." At no point prior to this was it made clear that the storage unit address and the listed address of the Middletown location were not the same. I was given no address or further directions on how to get to my storage unit. I then needed to call my movers to inform them that they were headed to the wrong location - a change that cost me 30 minutes of travel time charges for them. When I arrived at the unit I found that aside from the fact that they would be too small for my needs one of the units had a large metal beam and rod running through the middle rendering much of the space unusable (see attached pictures). I was not warned of this and was clearly still expected to pay for a 10' x 10' space, despite there not being 10'x10' of useable space. I called the Middletown location, shockingly they answered the phone, and asked to upgrade to the larger size. I later received a charge on my card for $106.72 that I did not authorize (I am going through my bank to dispute this charge) and today received a "receipt" for another $30 charge (if and when this hits my account I will be disputing it as well). All of this has cost me over $500 in additional moving costs, as well as over $135 in unauthorized charges from your company. To say nothing of the amount of time I wasted sitting on hold and talking to employees unwilling or unable to help me at all. I expect this situation to be rectified.Whitney M.

Clean the truck. Whoever had it before me drank alcohol in it and spilled it all over. The police are watching for that plate to see if they clean it or not cause I didn't want them to think I drank in it cause I don't drink or smoke. It also needed the oil changed cause the oil light was on. The guys were nice and I told them about it but they should always check it before they rent themCYNTHIA D.
How about a call back system rather than wasting your customers time waiting on an understaffed call center. Help your locations by not setting them up to look foolish. Oh, by the way, on the two appointments to have the hitch installed, no one ever contacted me to let me know I had an appointment, i found out on both occasions by luckily calling in prior to the stated date. I liked being able to do everything online. There needs to be a Quicker process for people going inside for rentals, or you need to hire more people. Seems to be a long wait to check out. I was buying boxes and waited 20 minutes to check out because others were being helped inside with the truck rental.
