I was the first customer to get a 10-ft truck this morning. When I went out and inspected the truck, I started it up to find the check engine light was on. I went back inside and asked if I could please get a different truck, I was told no. Would you spend over $300.00 on defective merchandise, now imagine that is what I had to do with U-Haul today. I will never spend $300 with your company again because of giving me a truck with a "bad O2 sensor,â€ after I explained that I had a bad O2 sensor on a vehicle and it would stall out at traffic lights or sometimes when you try to accelerate. Despite having a hook full of tags, he refused to give me a different truck. I cannot tell you how disappointing it was to have this level of service from a national company. I was thinking about getting storage with U-Haul because your store is conveniently located. Instead I will go down the hill to Wyoming and store things there. I hope your corporation will take the time and teach your employees about customer service. Customer service certainly is not renting a defective truck, and the guy with the black glasses and the tribal tattoos on his neck needs a discussion from corporate about what customer service. I hope you as a company will not knowingly rent a truck with bad or faulty parts. That's what your company did to me today.Mark R.

When pulling out the ramp it was covered in glass in which I had to clean up and pick up some of the pieces because they wouldn't sweep up and ended up getting a shard of glass in my thumb. The vehicle was not clean and it was smoky.The air conditioner went completely out while I was driving it and once I returned the truck it took over 30 minutes to complete the checkout process and adjust my credit card payment due to unused mileage. It was not a customer friendly experience and when I reported that the air went out, the representative said rhat the air was on. I explained it was on, but it was blowing warm air, not cold air. This location was great, but the overall experience was a disaster. The truck for which I had a reservation was not there and no other truck could be located in the Cincinnati region. I had reserved a one way 15' truck to Chicago, which had been confirmed the day before, but ended up having to use a truck and then return it back to Cincinnati the same day, resulting in additional fees and charges for which I should not have had to pay. The employees at the location were great but overall this was close to fraudJeff H.

Well first location didn't have my trailer. Had to drive 25 mins to another location. First trailer there had. A light not working. Had to switch to another trailer. Then they forget my furniture pads I purchased. Finally get to Chicago late and the next day to facility at 700 erie wouldn't take my trailer and sent me 20-30 mins away to turn it in. So I wasted a lot of time and gas due to Uhaul dropping the ball from start to finish.Steve S.
Wanted to pick up truck at 5:00pm. Tried the rent with app feature. Had problems uploading photos then needed to do a verification phone call which turned into a hassle. Went inside instead. My truck smelled like week but I was already behind timewise so I just kept it. Upon return, was charge almost $90 for gas refuel but it was determined to be a mistake. Still waiting for the additional $132 to be credited back to my account. I will continue to use u-haul and this location, but I will make sure to follow every step next time. This last rental turned into a huge hassle both with the initial rental and later my bank account.William W.

Had reservation set at 1 location (Harrison OH) when I got there they moved my pickup location to Colerain Ave. OH instead without my prior notification in any form and was told they tried to contact me. Bullshit! I work nights and called when I woke up and was told I was all set to pick it up at 2:00 PM at Wood's Hardware Harrison OH. The manager waited on me the first time I walked in, she was rude and unhelpful. I was told that no vehicle tow dolly's were available. I went home and reserved one without issue and came back and picked it up. I did not receive any apology for being lied to 30 minutes earlier.john Z.

I interacted with 5 employees at this location and only 2 of them were helpful and only 1 was friendly. I believe the helpful 2 were the GM and assistant manager. The other employees needed assistance from the GM for every single action that needed to take place, causing a delay in me being able to access my pod to load it. Additionally, I completely understand that it's difficult to be in a customer facing role but I felt like I was a huge burden/inconvenience the whole time I was being assisted. I don't need a smile but a general â€œhow can I help you out today?â€ would've made the world of difference as opposed to the blank stares and grunts I got from two employees. Lastly, one kid was sitting at a front desk on his phone while there were 6 people in line - it was clear that he couldn't assist anyone but in that case, he should probably be hidden from view so people don't think they're being ignored. The GM ended up having to de-escalate an angry customer as a result, taking even more time away from the people waiting behind me.Ayana L.

Tina was the rudest and most disrespectful representative that I have ever encountered! I couldn't believe she was a manager! I was very unhappy with the fact that I had to go to 2 separate locations to grab everything I ordered weeks in advance however I understand things happen. I felt like I should have been made aware of this during the call I received a few days before. But on the day before was unacceptable. The check out the process was really slow. I had a reservation, everything was set online, all we needed to do was pick up the truck. We were helped by Dave, and had to go through the entire process again when we got there, even though it was done online. The lady next to Dave was able to complete 2 reservations before mine was complete, both her customers did not have an online reservation...seriously! Dave had obviously had an alcoholic drink before he started work that day or had quite a few the night before...he was stinking of alcohol. We did not want the additional insurance, I think it was around $15 but ended up getting charged for it anyway. My suggestion for improvement is get another person on staff to move the lines along or re-train and educate the people who are there. They are extremely slow and act like they don't care about their jobs and seem very uninterested in customers.Andrew H.

I responded to the Colerain location at 850am and was the second person in line. I was helped within 10 minutes, but the employee was not sure how to use the system because he was new. He completed the reservation and gave me a truck. I walked outside and found the truck was different than what was on my paperwork and I could not use the link I was sent. I went back inside and now found that I was in a line of about 8 people. After a lengthy period of time, the other girl, who knew what she was doing had me come up to the desk because she saw my paperwork. She advised that he had done the entry wrong because it was a one way rental and that that he had given me the wrong truck. She sent me outside with the keys and said she would resend the link. The link never came. I went back inside and waited in line again. She again called me up and had to redo the entire reservation. She gave me a third truck and a new link. It actually worked. However, I had now been at the location for an hour and 10 minutes. It was abasolutely awful!!! When I returned the truck to Ace hardware, there was one person in line ahead of me. There were three other employees standing next to the counter, but no one offered to help to expedite the process. I had to stand there and wait for 20 minutes. Simply awful customer service. The manger in Cincinnati has a very negative behavior when I was there picking up the rental truck it was not explain to me that I had a certain time to pick up the car tow trailer that it would be kicked out of the computer and that it would be re rented to someone else. It was all ready fully paid for as long as I was to pick it up before the store closes why is there a additional $100 deposit when the rental and full insurance was paid in full for the service,that seems very strangeAnthony H.

I ordered and paid for an utility dolly, a furniture dolly, and a appliance dolly but when I got the truck there was only a beat up utility dolly. When I dropped off the truck the two gentleman working told me they didn't know how to fix it in my bill. So I paid for 2 days of use on equipment I never got.Brandon A.

How is tah when your CSR was the one who set up. Needless to say there are plenty of competitors that will service me better next time. what uhaul did to me at this location was unheard of, I had a uhaul extension contract till June 2nd and on May 28th they towed my uhaul with all my belongings in it and their excuse was their employee messed up and wasn't supposed to extend my reservation but mind you she did and we paid for it and they towed it with out as much as a phone call or text or email anything. My fiance and I were baffled by this this and they did absolutely nothing to fix itMorgan B.

During the six months contract we visited several times. The magnetic card for entry/exit never worked. Hard to reach staff each time due to activity at front desk.
