I loved our experience with UHaul on 52nd Ave South. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. The staff are all friendly and extremely accommodating. Xavier went above and beyond to deliver and pick up the U-Pods. I will definitely recommend you to others! I also love the idea of being able to return boxes for others to use! I recycle as much as possible. So I took advantage of the recycled boxes available to us to use as well during our move. I have only two suggestions: Our mattress got wet from a leaking U-Pod. We were never offered any discount on that pod for damage we endured due to the leaking U-pod. This would have been courtesy your store could have offered to make that experience better for the customer. Also, might I suggest daily options for U-Pods for people like us who didn't use them for the full month. But other than that, our experience was GREAT! Thank you!Terri A. | Overall Experience

Have the people making calls not blatantly lie to you over the phone, telling you to go to "Detroit Lakes" for an auto hauler pickup. That same location called me earlier in thr day to tell me the pickup was going to be in thief river falls. Well it would seem like Employee #2 dropped the ball. I was informed by more staff that "this is a recurring problem" and to only be reimbursed $50 for all of my wasted time, and gas is outlandish. I rented a space and it was occupied for over a month and I paid while someone else stored. I was hit while in storage. Then storage was cancelled abruptly with no notice and all fencing/security removed with NO warning. I was charged for a month of storage after cancellation. We moved our own u-boxes. They were not ready for pick up or to get when we wanted our boxes back. Even though the second time I called to verify and was told they would be ready. It is a joke that you can not get through to the local number when u call and the national number does not know what happens locally. Greeted nicely when walked in. Had a problem with trailer light but she willingly switched trailers to try another one. I was surprised that there were boxes left in truck. We were hopi g we wouldn't be charged if we left boxes in trailer when we dropped it off. We weren't. I also didn't know we could have hired help to move items. Wish I would have know. That sooner. We had a storage unit, and water leaked up through the concrete floor, and ruined a queen size memory form mattress and box spring, a king size mattress, we were able to salvage the box springs, and our leather reclining sofa and love seat. A young lady that worked there came and took pictures to show the manager and said he would be in touch, he never contacted us. I went in three times the manager was not there 2 of the 3 times, he was there the second time, I waited in the lobby for 30 minutes, the counter person informed him twice I was there to see him about some sort of reimbursement for the losses, since the damage was not in any way caused by us. It was cracks in the concrete that let the water seep up through the cracks. He had the counter person, come tell me to call my insurance for the damages. I spoke to a family member who practices law here in Moorhead and was informed that damages were/are not mine nor my insurance company’s responsibility my attorney, due to poor design and poor craftsmanship. I am not seeking a full reimbursement, which totaled over $4800.00, I requested only $800.00 for a down payment for the replacement beds and a new sofa and love seat that was financed. I believe that it is more than fair. I have been out of town 8 of the last 10 weeks and have been unable to get this taken care of. I would like to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. The truck was fine, however, they didn't have the furniture dolly I had reserved. The employee who was helping me said she'd remove it from my reservation, but the next day, I got a call from uhaul wondering if I was going to return the dolly I was never given in the first place. I explained the situation, and it all worked out, but was unnecessarily stressful.James K.

All the customer service that I received from U-Haul was great. Returning the U-Haul was a very poor customer service situation, as the attendant really did not use good communication skills. Regina was AWESOME and such a huge help...the Uhaul in Kalispell incorrectly recorded the odometer in kilometers so when I dropped it off in Fargo there was a overage of $1,050 in miles. The actual trailer, hookups, and person I interfaced with were great. The overall experience of reserving and confirming showed significant gaps with Uhaul process: 1. Initial â€œreservationâ€ online was quick and easy. 2. When I called the day prior, my reservation was changed without me knowing it - to pickup in Minneapolis instead of Fargo. Found this out with the text confirmation message. 3. I called again - and got it straightened out. Also found out my online form was a â€œrequestâ€ and not an actual reservation. Could have been I missed this in the form - but this seemed misleading. 4. Day of rental - the pickup location changed again, and so I called a 3rd time to make sure where I should go. 5. Upon showing up to get the trailer - the person at the counter only had rentals for â€œin-townâ€ and not one way. That person said there were notes on the rental from someone I talked with on the phone to rent it to me anyway. So they did - but there were not any dollies (also on my rental from talking with folks on the phone) which could go one way. 6. I ended up buying one moving dolly and it worked. My main take away - Uhaul's coordinating between their main touch points - online, phone, in-store - have work to do. This was not the fault of any one person - but of an overall ownership of the customer experience. Uhaul exposed me to its internal complexity and operational siloes. If I can try another service for a trailer next time - I will be tempted to do it because of the seeming lack of coordination - and that an online order does not guarantee anything.Ryan P.

This was as confusing experience as I rented a 5x10x10 space. I received an e-mail that my locker number was 2021-23 not realizing this number was two separate 5x5x10 lockers. I initially thought the -23 was the row number not realizing it was locker 2021 AND 2023. When I went to move into this unit, the door was partially frozen but I was able to open it. I unloaded my vehicle and then realized that the door would not close due to ice. The main door has some issue to put my code to get in. The staff came to help me put the code and it still did not work. Had to run to the side door to put the code to check in. I changed a storage unit from an outside one to an inside climate control one. When I checked out the outside one, they deleted my both units. But when they added me the inside climate control one, the Asian lady asked me to pay again for the mistake her coworker did. And she told me because it was not done by her and by her coworker.
