Location and people here were good to work with. My concern was the inability to successfully use the app for phone based pick up. It didn't work.. I was not happy with the notification I received changing the pick up location 1 DAY prior to the pick up. I had to come from CT to ME. for the rental and had made plans based on the original schedule. If this sort of thing happens, notification should be made earlier. The staff at Odlin Rd. Bangor were very helpful and professional. The manager at the Berwick location was impudent and insulting when I called to address the scheduling issue.DAVID E.

Karen should be removed from her position effective immediately for treating me so badly. I have a fatal disease called ALS and live in a house with a garage door opener to which I have a remote to and I also have 10 animals and Karen lied and said I was living there when I have a house and a garage remote and 10 animals. She even lied to the cops and lied that was attacking her and threatening her. What was I going to charge her with my walker. She wasted my time and gave me emotional distress and refused me a full refund and went too far. She will be hearing from my attorney and should be gravely ashamed of herself for the way she treated a dying person. Then to send me a letter in my email saying I hope u continue to use uhaul. I've been waiting for this survey so I can let the company know they have some of the greatest team member in uhaul working at this location. I've used it to rent and return equipment, as well as my storage destination. Kevin, Dan have repeated my been there for me while I moved in and out of Bangor. I can't say enough good things about their professionalism, hard work and technical expertise. The store manager was a total jerk to me throughout the reservation process, he even told me I was disrespectful for asking him the same question more than once (I was requesting to drop the truck off at a different location than where I picked it up) and threatens to cancel my reservation. He just kept saying this is it, if you don't want it I will give it to someone else. He even argued with me about how many miles the trip was and tried to claim I would only need to take one trip because (I wanted a 20 foot truck) I was getting the bigger truck (26 foot). I have never in my life been spoken to by a customer service representative like that, let alone the actual store manager. So unprofessional, and disrespectful. I went in a month in advance to reserve a 10' truck,they ended up not having one but gave me a 15' instead, way more truck than I needed but it worked out just fine and they used me right on the price. It was easy on gas,ran great and was very comfortable. The folks in the store were awesome! The store was very nice,,clean and well stocked. It was easy access in and out. Dropped the truck off at a different location with the same scenario! Excellent all the way around! I would definitely recommend Uhaul and would use them again if the need arises.ROY C.

It took me more than 5 minutes to find the key drop box as I returned the vehicle after hours and it was dark. More signage to indicate where equipment return happens would be helpful. I reserved the truck 3 months prior online, and got a call 2 days before telling me one wasn't available. I was then informed that reservations aren't in effect until 2 days prior to the reserved day. Why am I able to go online 3 months prior, but then told that it may or may not be available for the day I want it? That's not a good system. When I tried calling the store that I had reserved my truck, I ended up getting the national call center. That woman was no help. She couldn't transfer my call, and kept wanting me to upgrade my reservation (for a truck that wasn't going to be available). I think it would be better to be able to leave a voicemail for the location I was trying to call. Beyond those couple of things, my experience at the store was very good. Danny and Kevin were very friendly, knew their stuff and were willing to help any way they could. I enjoyed their professionalism. Those guys were top notch.Kevin H.

It says that you have 24 hour access to the units..... but they lied..... the staff lady also said that access was 24 hours as well........ and .....she lied..... you can't turn off the alarm passed 10pm....yes the regular door is open..... and a pain to load thru after 5 or whatever the other door hours are.Tracy J. | Overall Experience

1. the counter person, Adam, told me my parts were not in an he was sorry that they would not be able to install my hitch today - I asked him why didn't he call us to tell us not to come in? No good answer. 2. Then I asked Adam if he knew when the hitch parts would be coming in. He had difficulty navigating the computer U Haul App and had to ask manager for help. Turns out the part actually was delivered the day before today and was not logged into the system for my appointment. 3. Received a call from Adam after we dropped the car off that he had snapped off the nut that is welded to the 2017 Honda Pilot frame. He told me the car had "rotted" due to road salt. It is a 2017, practically new car that is kept in the garage. I think he over torqued the bolt which made the nut snap off. Now it's rattling around inside the hollow tube frame of the car. I took it to my mechanic and he said he could figure out a way to install it and fix the problem that U-Haul had created. 4. The U Haul franchise owner was polite and gave me back my labor and warranty charges, but didn't offer to make the loose nut that rattles every time I hit a bump an issue that he was willing to make me whole on. We shall see what my mechanic charges to install the hitch. 5. The people were all nice and polite -- very high marks, but I don't have ANY faith in Adam's mechanical or administrative skills. I would NEVER let him touch my car again.Randal P.

This place is awful in customer service and the service overall is below standard. Couple issues: 1. Commitment issue:Â I made the purchase online, set up appointments after 10 days which was the earliest in the online system. I called the day of my appointment and the guy told me he can't do it on that day. He acts like it is my responsibility to call so that he can tell me that he cant do it. Anyway, he gave a time following Saturday at 9 am. 2. They think the customer is an idiot:Â They charged me for 30 mins job but wasted almost 2 hours. The job itself is10 mins (check the youtube installation), but they say there is something unexpected in the installation and they need to remove theÂ thing and put it back,Â which is a joke.Â 3. Lier:Â They never put back the cover that they removed and did not give it back to me. When I checked and asked for the cover, they start rambling and then give it back to me. However, I asked that can you put it back, they start fabricating drama. "Well, we ordered the blade for cuttingÂ but has not arrived". If I cut and put it back, it will void your warranty. Come back 'later', we will put it back. I asked when he saysÂ Thursday,Â Â randomly. If the blade doesn't come, then I cantÂ do it..... Will 'call' you...Come on, this is a piece of plastic and can be cut with aÂ scissor. And this a suppose to be a professional shop that people pay for. You need to do better.Bashir K.

This is so much better than an outdoor storage facility. In winter I don't want to stand in the freezing cold trying to access a unit. Our experience with this temperature controlled facility was flawless for the three years used. Perhaps it could be considered a bit pricey for the time frame, but we found it well worth it for our piece of mind. I had the Worst customer service experience with Caren Webb. The general manager. When I first open my storage unit, I noticed she was giving me attitude and I couldn’t figure out why but maybe she was having a bad day I don’t know. The next time I came in to make a payment, she had attitude even worse and one statement she said that she wasn’t going to lose her job over something she would do for me which was something simple like reducing the price payment or waiving the late fee. When I was walking away I had a bad day to begin with and her sarcasm words of “have a nice day” started to make my blood boil because nobody should be working customer service that has an attitude such as this. I’ve been doing customer service for over 20 years and I have never once matched a customers tone, and funny thing is I didn’t even have a tone I was trying to explain to her about my hardship and she had no empathy for a customer who was clearly emotional and was hopeful that somebody would be willing to provide some sort of relief. That didn’t happen! I in fact I walked out of there highly upset and wrote a very extended long email to corporate which nothing had happened as far as I know. Yesterday November 27 around 3 PM I arrive At the storage unit to clear out my belongings so I could close out my account and Simone was working along with I believe Sean and another nice young man, Simone contacted Karen and Karen told her to tell me that I would have to come in at six in the morning to speak with her. Little did she know that I had rented a pick up truck to remove all my storage belongings so I asked the moon for her email address. I emailed Karen and I will attach the email so you can see for yourself that I was not nasty in anyway. I waited 15 minutes did not hear back from the email so I called her and had her on speakerphone while inside the Uhaul shop and her employees could hear her but she didn’t know as of yet. She had raised her voice and brought up the reason why she had a grudge towards me which was because I used to work at Dunkin’ Donuts for her and unfortunately I had to leave the job without notice due to legal issues. Why would she take that personal? Good question. But as far as being a general manager I don’t know if she’s treated other customers this way but I wouldn’t doubt it. I ended up speaking to Becky. Who was extremely helpful and let me pay five dollars to clear out my unit and sign a closing account paper. But caren Webb Should really think about what she is saying to customers and how she is saying it because and taking your personal issues to work, is not professional at all! By far one of the most worst General managers I’ve ever had to deal with because she took it personally. Not to mention I was under extreme stress already due to my current situation, I had to wait three hours and 40 minutes before I was finally able To clear out my storage unit. That’s when Becky came in and told me I could do the five dollar good Samaritan contract sign off. My first contact was Rwanda, she was extremely friendly, kind, thorough, and diligent in assisting my needs, ave concerns. I was under a lot of stress, and Rwanda's experience was much appreciated. When I arrived at the Uhaul facility in Bangor, I was met me Kevin, and Trevor. Both gentleman, I use this word because that is exactly what they were. Kevin worked swiftly, and again thoroughly to help me with this sudden and emotional move. Kevin made sure I understand all that was invited, and kindly guided me to making choices that world ensure an easy move. When I encountered differently with the truck I received, Trevor quickly said "no problem" . Our move into the storage was also easy, and all the dollies were of great help.
