A blinker wasn't working, I had to replace it for $20.00 out of pocket in the middle of my trip. This is very dangerous! Oil had to be changed soon. The van had one flat tire, the guy told me that it was ok but not true. No snow tires, no snow chains available, I mean, we are in Colorado! They give me no spare key for a 2600 miles trip! The back of the van was dirty, I had to clean it up before loading my stuff. The front of the van was very dirty, I thought that since covid19 emergency they would sanitize it every turn, but I was wrong. Very very bad!!Fabio P.

I have sent an email to email@example.com regarding two pods #AA6493E and #AA4074C that I had placed in the care of the Longmont facility in 2017. Due to issues pertaining to the sale of my house, Samson, who ran the facility was working with me after I had moved across country. After the Longmont facility shut down, my pods were separated, and while I received late due invoices from Huntington Hills, Stapleton, and Park Hill locations, I never received a call back from any manager or anyone to confirm that both of my pods are intact. I am still across country dealing with family issues - further complicated with covid - but I'd like to speak to someone from Uhaul to recover my pods if they are still intact. I had to call 911 because my property was essentially stolen by a staff member on a power trip. If you look at the cameras you can see her screaming and aggressively gesticulating before slapping a lock on the unit which has all of my work clothes and various other things I actually need. First, clerk forgot to give me the key so had to go back in. Then, the tank was less than 1/4 full. Had to go back in and ask about that. I have rented several moving trucks and this is the first time the tank has not been full and I had to put gas in before the move even started. Lastly, I was charged for gas on my final invoice when I put gas in it and was returned with more than 1/4 tank. I have emailed requesting the charge be refunded. Did not confirm date/time of pickup and drop-off when checking out. Only after reviewing the receipt did they mention I had a shortened time window, and would be charged an extra day for dropping it off later. I have asked for a final receipt for my storage unit 2034, which was finished on Nov 19, but still have yet to receive this. I was also over charged a total of $69 for my Uhaul truck, which has still not been finalized despite multiple emails to the General Manager. I rented a storage unit and asked for a receipt to be sent to my email address when it was surrendered back on November 19. I have yet to receive this receipt. I rented a truck for one day and was charged for 2days, for a total overcharge of $69. I have sent the truck receipt to the General Manager, as the charges are very easy to see, but have had no response. This feels like unethical business practices.JAMES C.
The alarm keeps going off too frequently. I use my access card but possibly others don’t or it is way too sensitive so when you use your storage the alarm is almost constantly going off and it is so loud and piercing. Maybe something to look into.Paul Joseph C. | First Impressions
If you knew there was an issue with the back door sticking due to new rubber, then you should warn customers. I had to return the truck, and although they could open it, after I had already driven back, I had already sent my friend who was helping me home. I had to get another Uhaul two days later. Please do not release vehicles with a persistent error message, even if you are sure the error message will just disappear after driving the vehicle after â€œa mile or so.â€ In our case the message was still there after several miles and you sent roadside assistance which took HOURS to get here and fix the problem, rendering the entire daylight hours blown and a day we badly needed wasted. Also, the storage was not what we were promised and took time to fix. We were storing very heavy objects and did not have time or manpower to carry these up stairs. You guys knew this, but our storage was set up for the second floor. Again, you DID end up providing acceptable storage (the mousetrap was and is terrifying, but we will dealâ€¦ we have cats who will take care of any passengers the couch acquires, but yikes), but this took time we did not have to spare. The lot and alley leading to the back of storage was filthy and full of debrisâ€¦ and we had to fend off scary people on some substance or another wandering through â€¦ one demanding to use our phone (we just coldly told her NO). This was convenient storage, first month free and so nice to be able to just drop off the van we rented on site where we put our stuff in storage until our new apartment is available, but it could not feel less secure.Phillip V.

I made a reservation over a week ago and got a call yesterday stating that the 15 foot truck wasn't available and I would have to drive 20 miles north to get one. Decided to get a 10 foot truck at the closer location but or course we had to make 3 more trips than I have originally anticipated so the price was high because of mileage. Not happy with the last minute notice. I had to move a two bed two bath house using a truck meant for a studio apartment. It was an exhausting day and I wish we didn't have to drive back and forth 5 times. Nothing wrong with this location, but just not super thrilled with what happened. The workers were professional and friendly, but unfortunately, the lack of notice has made me think about considering alternatives in the future.Mary C.

I was given a trailer with bald tires. One of them went flat halfway through my trip. Roadside assistance helped out but no attempt to compensate in full or in part for what could have been a catastrophic event for my family and I has been made. I am very recent in this city, and I would like to think that accommodation would be a good idea for someone who is willing to pay for the access to your facility, as I am getting the situation in hand. I am hoping that I will not have to go to another facility for my storage needs. If you are recent to a new place, you may not have a permanent address. But, your people are not very sympathetic. Van had trash in the cargo area. No one walked me through the checkout or check-in. They charged me for fuel even though I added 2 gallons of gas to replace the 26 miles I had driven. They charged me for 3 additional gallons after I had already left. Just a scam to make an extra $15. Not the end of the world but seems pretty desperate for a 1 hour van rental driving 26 miles. I asked to move the ramp to a different angle and they assured me that I will be fine at this angle backing off my car. I asked again because I knew it was a bad angle they then acted like I was complaining and rude so I went with it. I backed up until it started to drag on the ramp scratching the bottom of my BMW. Then I said see this angle is bad. I then got out the truck raised the ramps myself and pulled forward to a better angle. I then backed off without touching. This is a great location. Always great customer service, never a long wait in line. Even though I live 5 minutes from UHaul at 615 South Havana, I drive 8 miles to 4800 Colorado Blvd because the customer service here is always great! Staff were friendly and clearly explained everything. Truck clearly has significant transmission problems. It shouldn't have been rented out as-is, and can calmly say I won't be using U-Haul again. Home depot is closer, easier to schedule with, and their trucks have never given me problems while I'm realizing that U-Hauls always do... Truck also was below Empty on the fuel tank. They promised to reimburse me for putting up to $42 into the tank. What a sloppy way to do this... Did you want me to look at the transmission too?CHARLES C.

This location failed to deliver equipment and notified me less than 24 hours before I was supposed to pick it up and then basically told me that I was screwed and should look elsewhere. The card system was a bit more complicated to use after hours and wasn't informed that the loading dock doors would be non operational. Was informed that the lock was a zip lock only to find out that it wasn't. Luckily I was able to get ahold of the employee to correct this in time before they closed. I would suggest to have security on the premises as during move-in, there were alot of shady people around. It just sucked cuz I was told by customer service when I booked it that the price is the same no matter how long you rent a truck for, but then was told by another agent that I’d be charged for another day since I had it over 24 hours. I get it, but I was not informed about that and the info I was given by the first rep resulted in me feeling more relaxed enough to keep it out longer.
