The poorly maintained trailer opened and then stuck there. When we loaded it it would not close. Fortunately I had ratcheting tie downs to secure the contents. In addition they said to return Bubly 7 but closed at 5 and there was no one there to speak to about it.

But the amount of droppings from rats on my furniture and personal belong is beyond me..The fact that your company at this place doesn't let people know that they are infested with rats is so unprofessional uncleaningness and pure disgusting...The Place Needs To Be Shut Down and and exterminated ..

After driving to the storage facility and renting a unit to secure it as it was the last one available of its size, I begin the flow process of moving items in and within two weeks rented a U-Haul truck to bring the rest of my stuff to the storage unit... I was told upon renting a storage unit that I would get a free month if I rented the truck from them to bring my belongings to Rhode Island from another state… I was told it would not come off the first month but a subsequent month... Later, when I receive a bill notice through email, I grab the receipt to the truck rental and brought it to the storage facility to apply for my rebate… I was told that the young man that told me that information and lied to me and that he had been fired… And that I was not eligible for a free month storage FaceTime the time he had laid out for me… I was told I could move everything out of the storage unit and rent a different storage unit to put it in and be eligible for the rebate at that time… Totally ridiculous ridiculous... Poorly managed and do you think firing an employee who may have given some bad information resolve their issue with me… He would be a representative at the time of my securing the storage unit and they refused to honor the agreement… I was told to have a nice day by the clerk who refused to discuss what I was promised... I said not hardly... He repeated have a nice day two or three times as I walked out of the building… This is how you train your employees U-Haul? I'll be moving my property to another unit all right but it will be with a different storage facility…

I Have To Say That I Spoke With A "Mary" At Corporate n She Messed Everything Up When Making All My Reservations... BUT... "KALIL" At The Pawtucket, RI, Newell St/Av Location Made Everything Right Even Though It Was Extremely Difficult!!! He Is a Life Saver!!! The Best Customer Service Rep That Ive Ever Had!!! I Am Sooo Thankful That He Was There!!! N If You Ever Need Some Real Help Or Im Going To Say With Anything At All He Is The Man To See!!! If It Wasnt For Him I Wouldve Been In a Much Worse Spot Than I Am Even Now!!! But The Location Itself Is Nice n Definitely Climate Controlled Because Once I Walked In It Was Very Very Warm So I Know That My Belongings Wont Be Getting Too Cold n Damp... Theyll Stay Nice n Warm n Dry... It Was Very Clean n Certainly Secure... I Feel Very Very Safe Having My Important Things There... I Recommend This Location Of U-Haul For Sure!!! Stellar service and location. I am glad I chose this location based on facts (and not based on some reviews) i really had an outstanding experience all the way from getting the storage, unloading, securing my boxes, having carts always available, very well maintained premises including great elevators. I was there several times over the weekend and a team member was making rounds so felt really safe and supported. A+++++ location and staff. Thank you!

I wasn't happy that I was charged an extra 20.00 when my pick up time was at 12, but I picked up the uhaul at around 12:30 and dropped it off around 4:30 still within my 4 hour rental time, and I added more gas than what I received, and wasnt credited for that.

Your staff working hard. The line wasn't long. The gator nylon masks they wear won't protect well with the COVID-19 virus. I saw they also were slipping. Two outside guys didn't wear masks & in RI it's mandated. You should try to purchase a tight fitting masks for fall into winter or you'll have staff sick.

I had interacted with a few employees over the past two days. Most of them were great and I would give five stars. The gentlemen that booked my truck was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. His mask was off, explaining the system poorly, would not make eye contact, responded very short and was rude in general. It reflected poorly on the other great employees. I have never had a bad experience with UHual so I will continue using the service but the gentlemen that booked my Truck was terrible.

Once again, your phone app method for equipment condition check out at pick up is unacceptable. The pictures are small, and not updated to the trucks current condition. I tried to use the app, snapped a few pictures, but not sure it got processed. Ended up calling the 800 number and waiting for ten minutes on hold. Once your agent got on the phone with me, she was very helpful and understanding. I am not upset by the fact that the relatively new truck was dented, beat up, oily bed liner...But, I am upset because I feared that I might be charged for all this damage because it was not shown on your ineffective condition check out app. The gas tank was not quite full also, surely did not want to be charged 3.50 for a few gallons of fuel, so made sure the tank was completely full when I returned the truck. I spent all the time to fill out the online forms with all my info, so why does it take so long to check in? Why does it seem like your agents have to copy all this info into their computer forms, it should be filled out already. This is really annoying, I am not applying for a mortgage here. Uhaul needs to remember that not all customers have phones and are "app friendly". The return process was not much better. The sign says "stay here with your equipment", which I did, for ten minutes. Finally, the guy behind me went inside, so I followed him in for check in. Obviously this location is understaffed, I can't blame the inside guy for not being able to come outside for check in. The return agent was more friendly that the pick up agent as well. I checked off "not applicable" for the location recommendation, because I don't want the employees to be blamed for poor processes set up by Uhaul and the owners of this location...

The nonsense phone verification to someone I know , this is. A hassle and I could us anyone if you think about that for a half of second . You have an Id and credit card a registration, insurance, cameras and if you think about it . This process took an hour or more to verify . This is one method that should be stopped. The workers are pleasant and are Knowledgeable I also noticed there were no discounts for military or first responders and or elderly (which I'm not but should be factored . These little things make a billion dollar company shine . The facility is clean and well stocked With equipment which is a plus .

One of the tires on the trailer blew out and I had to sit on the Dude if the road for 5.5 hours waiting for repair. I ended up losing an entire day because of the equipment not working when I got to the location and the delay for repair. I would like a refund for one of the two days that I rented for.

Maybe try having their truck ready at the right location when they made a reservation weeks ahead of time. Also give them a call before they drive hours away to pick up their truck and tell them that it is not there! Awesome thank you!

We had to wait 25 minutes in line at 3 o'clock in the afternoon to return our rental. This should not happen. You need more help Especially w covid it's not desirable to be waiting in line with other people for so long. You need a way to check out with someone outside if you can't be efficient inside

The staff were professional and courteous, but did not lend themselves to the consumers experience. Although they were equipped with the specifics of my move they rented me a truck that did not meet my needs. As a result of their miscalculation, I was forced to make a 200 mile trip twice as the 15 ft truck rented could not accommodate my 3 bedroom apartment move; and subsequently incurred unnecessary late fees and mileage cost. I was promised a tow dolly and was in anticipation thereof; but had to argue to ensure it's receipt on the pick up day. The staff at this location spent an enumerate amount of time gathering demographics and personal information about me but then didn't update the system which prevented me from accessing my account online and precluded me from the online return process. They appear to be very same oriented rather than client oriented. They myopic view served to increase a stressful situation tenfold

Tell people the truth that the 6×12 open trailer with the ramp only has an opening measuring 4 ft 9in making it impossible to fit anything close to 6ft from getting thru. Then tell customer to reimburse me for paying for a trailer that I couldn't use because of this false advertising.

I ordered a 15 foot truck for 10 hours out of attleboro. I got a call that said they can only do 6 hours. I said I need 10 hours. I was offered a truck for a 24 one way rental. Catch is I couldn't return the truck to the same location. So I set north attleboro as my drop off. I then got a call that said they didn't have the truck I needed. I said I needed that much space. They said they could give me a 10 foot truck and a 5 by 8 trailer. I said sure that works. Only problem with that, was that I couldn't pick it up in attleboro. I had to go to 2 different stores to pick them up. In pawtucket I got the truck, and then east providence for the trailer, adding miles to my order unnecessarily. The trailer was hard to maneuver the way I needed to, and made my job more difficult. I returned the truck to attleboro as planned after changing the dropoff from north attleboro. Only to find out the trailers drop off location was supposed to be north attleboro. So now, I'm getting harrassing calls about the trailer return supposedly for today when I returned it two days ago.

Terrible customer service from corporate or whoever called me while scheduling the UHAUL. Waited till the LAST day before my move in to tell me there wasn't a trailer available at my preferred location and we had to drive 40 minutes to get one. Woman on the phone was not understanding and no discount or anything was given to make up for it.

My storeage had Rat tirds all over my stuff. Pee everywhere. Know i have to replace my 1500.00 sofa. Brought clothes to cleaners due to rats. Not only that the rental truck was a mess i took a video when i got in it. Also the tank was not on half a tank it was below it. I have told all friends and family i know to remove there stuff from your facilities. And you double charge for the storage months rent and the truck..

Yesterday when I was trying to move out all the things from the storage unit-elevator in the building was broken. Spoke to staff on site (who opened office ten minutes late) and they said they cant help and offered no solution or assistance. Called UHaul 1800 number-got forwarded to customer care- again no solution and they told me to speak to site general manager. No site general manager present. Most unhelpful customer care and laziest on site staff. I had to carry large heavy boxes in my arms down three flights of stairs. WHY IS UHAUL SELLING UPPER FLOOR STORAGE WITHOUT A FUNCTIONAL ELEVATOR IN THE STORAGE BUILDING?

I can't give it more than 3 stars due to having an issue w the elevator while we were moving in. The elevator literally stopped working and when we called for help no one came. We rang the help button and waited for close to 15 minutes. When no one came we went to the office and finally a lady staff told the guy of the situation but he was busy and came over after he finished what he was doing. We had to carry stuff up to the second floor a few times before the manager came and fixed the elevator about 20min after the guy left and told us there was nothing more he could do and there is no other elevator for the storage place. The staff was nice but there should be another elevator or a staff specifically answering the people at the storage units. Thank god no one was stuck inside of the elevator because we would have been out of luck. Besides the elevator situation it was not a bad move in.

Staff was extremely rude and dismissive.rented a truck and a storage unit. Called to move in. Told us we can’t because no move ins after 4:30. Well no one told us that. Called to extend my U-Haul rental. Kept getting hung up on. Staff saying”we should of thought about how long we needed the truck” when we planned to move in the same day but NO ONE INFORMED US WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO. Next day comes around and we go to rent a unit at U-Haul Pawtucket 5x10 ... elevator breaks... we are offered little options to solve this and not even an apology from staff. End up renting a 10x10 in another building having to walk all of the stuff we already moved through the building over the bridge across another building to our unit. Again, no help or compensation offered from staff. I understand that things happen no one can control a broken elevator. But the blatant disregard disrespect and clear lack of customer service your staff displayed was disgusting and I hope you can improve on that.

In hopes that this review makes its way to the powers that be so that change will be made in an expedient time frame. After reading the reviews and having no other choices, I reluctantly gave my business to the Pawtucket U-Haul facility. Day one, when I arrived to pick up the rental truck, the young man assisting me at the desk although polite was not knowledgeable in the areas of my other reservation for storage, the promotion of " If you rent a truck you get the first month free for a storage unit", or the location of the unit itself. He had me walking around in the maze from one building to another. After debating for some time and another associate confirming the promotion we finely got everything squared away. When I returned with my belongings the elevator to my unit was not accessible because I was told they couldn't find the KEY. After about an hour they finally granted me another unit located on the first floor. This unit was smaller in height by two feet, a big difference for storage. Still no complaints. Day two, I needed another unit to store the rest of my belongings. After the transaction was complete the associate brought me to view the unit. We entered the building, but the elevator was broken so we had to take the stairs. Was told by Sandy from corporate and the associate that the elevator is down several times throughout the year and that it was getting shut down in August to be replaced. The associate who brought me to view the unit assured me that the elevator would be fixed shortly so I could move in to my unit located on the second floor. It took the elevator repairman to tell me after waiting 45 minutes for the KEY that the elevator would not be available until a part was ordered. It turned out to be down for two days. I was then told by Corey Perry the manager that they had a "BACKUP" elevator, but it was located in the other building. Now I had to reload the rental truck and drive to the other building. Sandy offered to help reload, but I declined she did not inform me of her affiliation to the company nor did Corey I found out later. Now I was transporting my belongings from one building to another thru dust and debris, making multiple trips even with the assistance of Chris an employee. Afterward I returned to the desk and asked for the manager, I was told he was with another customer. I replied that I would wait, he showed up seconds later. I wanted to know what were the expenses that I had accrued and would be expecting to see on my credit card statement. He offered no discounts or apologies for my inconvenience until I asked. Then told me that he needed to check with corporate and get back to me. All in all after reading the reviews I expected to be treated with unprofessionalism but never thought that the process of using this facility would be so laboring. I was paying two guys $90.00 per hour for standing around waiting for a KEY to an elevator on both occasions. Needless to say I will not be using this branch again nor would I suggest it to anyone. Sandy from Corporate, Corey Perry manager, Han assistant manager all failed to inform me of their affiliation to the company. I have always used the U-Haul facility in East Providence with NO problems and am very heartened that they were not able to accommodate me this time.
