After driving to the storage facility and renting a unit to secure it as it was the last one available of its size, I begin the flow process of moving items in and within two weeks rented a U-Haul truck to bring the rest of my stuff to the storage unit... I was told upon renting a storage unit that I would get a free month if I rented the truck from them to bring my belongings to Rhode Island from another stateâ€¦ I was told it would not come off the first month but a subsequent month... Later, when I receive a bill notice through email, I grab the receipt to the truck rental and brought it to the storage facility to apply for my rebateâ€¦ I was told that the young man that told me that information and lied to me and that he had been firedâ€¦ And that I was not eligible for a free month storage FaceTime the time he had laid out for meâ€¦ I was told I could move everything out of the storage unit and rent a different storage unit to put it in and be eligible for the rebate at that timeâ€¦ Totally ridiculous ridiculous... Poorly managed and do you think firing an employee who may have given some bad information resolve their issue with meâ€¦ He would be a representative at the time of my securing the storage unit and they refused to honor the agreementâ€¦ I was told to have a nice day by the clerk who refused to discuss what I was promised... I said not hardly... He repeated have a nice day two or three times as I walked out of the buildingâ€¦ This is how you train your employees U-Haul? I'll be moving my property to another unit all right but it will be with a different storage facilityâ€¦

The wait time in the lobby at this location is way too long...seems to be a staffing issue; been here twice in the past month and experienced the same problem.
The service was slow, the fuel was 3/4 full and I only took it 5 miles . The fuel gauge didn't move at all and I was charged over $12.00.
Van was ready to go but I was not!! They let me change a my pick-up time and all was well

The customer experience I had was very negative, representatives at the counter were bad talking about another customer, and bragging about not waving a fee because the customer did not deserve it, also very vulgar language and poor customer appreciation, its like they were so focused on interracting amoung themselves they'd forget who amd why they are really there
I wasn't happy that I was charged an extra 20.00 when my pick up time was at 12, but I picked up the uhaul at around 12:30 and dropped it off around 4:30 still within my 4 hour rental time, and I added more gas than what I received, and wasnt credited for that.

The door to the truck would not open. We got all the way to our destination and had to turn around and go all the back to UHaul to get a different truck.

Once again, your phone app method for equipment condition check out at pick up is unacceptable. The pictures are small, and not updated to the trucks current condition. I tried to use the app, snapped a few pictures, but not sure it got processed. Ended up calling the 800 number and waiting for ten minutes on hold. Once your agent got on the phone with me, she was very helpful and understanding. I am not upset by the fact that the relatively new truck was dented, beat up, oily bed liner...But, I am upset because I feared that I might be charged for all this damage because it was not shown on your ineffective condition check out app. The gas tank was not quite full also, surely did not want to be charged 3.50 for a few gallons of fuel, so made sure the tank was completely full when I returned the truck. I spent all the time to fill out the online forms with all my info, so why does it take so long to check in? Why does it seem like your agents have to copy all this info into their computer forms, it should be filled out already. This is really annoying, I am not applying for a mortgage here. Uhaul needs to remember that not all customers have phones and are "app friendly". The return process was not much better. The sign says "stay here with your equipment", which I did, for ten minutes. Finally, the guy behind me went inside, so I followed him in for check in. Obviously this location is understaffed, I can't blame the inside guy for not being able to come outside for check in. The return agent was more friendly that the pick up agent as well. I checked off "not applicable" for the location recommendation, because I don't want the employees to be blamed for poor processes set up by Uhaul and the owners of this location...
The nonsense phone verification to someone I know , this is. A hassle and I could us anyone if you think about that for a half of second . You have an Id and credit card a registration, insurance, cameras and if you think about it . This process took an hour or more to verify . This is one method that should be stopped. The workers are pleasant and are Knowledgeable I also noticed there were no discounts for military or first responders and or elderly (which I'm not but should be factored . These little things make a billion dollar company shine . The facility is clean and well stocked With equipment which is a plus .
One of the tires on the trailer blew out and I had to sit on the Dude if the road for 5.5 hours waiting for repair. I ended up losing an entire day because of the equipment not working when I got to the location and the delay for repair. I would like a refund for one of the two days that I rented for.

Maybe try having their truck ready at the right location when they made a reservation weeks ahead of time. Also give them a call before they drive hours away to pick up their truck and tell them that it is not there! Awesome thank you!
We had to wait 25 minutes in line at 3 o'clock in the afternoon to return our rental. This should not happen. You need more help Especially w covid it's not desirable to be waiting in line with other people for so long. You need a way to check out with someone outside if you can't be efficient inside
The staff were professional and courteous, but did not lend themselves to the consumers experience. Although they were equipped with the specifics of my move they rented me a truck that did not meet my needs. As a result of their miscalculation, I was forced to make a 200 mile trip twice as the 15 ft truck rented could not accommodate my 3 bedroom apartment move; and subsequently incurred unnecessary late fees and mileage cost. I was promised a tow dolly and was in anticipation thereof; but had to argue to ensure it's receipt on the pick up day. The staff at this location spent an enumerate amount of time gathering demographics and personal information about me but then didn't update the system which prevented me from accessing my account online and precluded me from the online return process. They appear to be very same oriented rather than client oriented. They myopic view served to increase a stressful situation tenfold
Tell people the truth that the 6Ã—12 open trailer with the ramp only has an opening measuring 4 ft 9in making it impossible to fit anything close to 6ft from getting thru. Then tell customer to reimburse me for paying for a trailer that I couldn't use because of this false advertising.
